Having gotten past some of the more unappealing sights at the Met Gala, we still found other reaches of the celebrity world where stars managed to fall short of their fashion goals. So who made this week’s Worst Dressed list?
It can happen to the best of us. One minute you’re lounging in your silken dressing robes, sipping cognac while you stare into a fire made out of $100 bills, the next minute you realize, whoops, you forgot to make those lease payments on your private island! For the past 12 years! Oh, did we mention that you’re a famous actor in this scenario?
Rather than pull a Wesley Snipes (too soon?) and settle for homemade toilet wine while serving 3-5, most actors would instead start taking any role they can get to pump their bank accounts back into shape. And we do mean any: a filthy wizard, a GCI Great Dane, even a Katherine Heigl type. So we offer for your approval the Ten Biggest Hollywood Hacks of 2010, ten actors who seemed almost certainly to have been in it for the money, tax issues or otherwise. The economy might be in the gutter, but that doesn’t mean celebrities can’t get paid millions of dollars to star in awful, awful movies. By the way, are you going to finish that toilet wine?
No, Sarah Jessica Parker did not have a wardrobe malfunction at the Sex And The City 2 premiere in London today—unless you want to call her decision to wear this outfit one. Combining aspects of Janet Jackson‘s Super Bowl slip and Lady Gaga‘s fondness for over-the-top outfits with a little British class (a little), Parker looked like a tree from a Tim Burton movie (it’s disappointing she didn’t have an Oompa Loompa or Jack Skeleton hiding under her bustle). Though Cynthia Nixon‘s tight blue dress would be flattering on any day, in the context of SJP’s monstrosity, that ginger was bangin’. Get a good look at what the ladies wore in the gallery below.

Despite what you might think, there were actually men at the Sex And The City 2 premiere in NYC last night—and not just men from the cast or men married to castmembers (hello, Matthew Broderick). For instance, Valentino was there. He’s a dude! Also, Johnny Weir—yes, a male athlete who enjoys Sex And The City! A jock! Howard Stern went along with wife Beth Ostrosky and his daughter (bet he had a great time, totally wasn’t just there to get his ladies on the guest list or anything), and he may well have talked about the film later with other good husbands like Jerry Seinfeld, Donald Trump and George Stephanopoulos, who certainly weren’t gritting their teeth as Sarah Jessica Parker and her pals enjoyed the luxuries of Abu Dhabi.
Despite the obvious cross-gender appeal, women definitely dominated the event, with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michelle Trachtenberg, Whitney Port, Gabourey Sidibe, Ashanti, Jessica Szohr and many more joining the cast on the red carpet. See what everyone wore in the gallery below.

Sarah Jessica Parker opened up about the catfights on the set of Sex and the City 2, saying,”Sometimes feelings get hurt”. Even when you’re wearing vintage Halston, apparently! SJP finally addressed the constant reports of hardcore rivalry between the four ladies that have stuck around from when they were filming Sex and the City 2. She told Marie Claire, “When you’re on set, you’re working 90-hour weeks, you’re never home, you’re exhausted. There are times when all of us have been sensitive and sometimes feelings get hurt.” She added. “But I don’t have any regrets about how I’ve treated people.”
Cynthia Nixon agrees, saying that there have been ups and downs, but enmity between the fab four doesn’t exist. “It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. But the idea that we’re somehow adversarial is ludicrous.” She added that the ladies do hang out off set too, “We go to the theatre together or just go to one of our houses for dinner.”
Kristen Davis addressed rumors that she refused to have dinner with Kim Cattrall while filming in Morocco: “There was a very strange piece in one of the tabloids that said Kim and I would eat in the restaurant of our hotel and not sit together, which cracks me up. When I would get back from the set, I would go to the gym and get room service. I’m not a put-on-decent-clothes-and-go-to-the-hotel-restaurant person. But Kim is. The story was that we don’t like each other. Ridiculous.”
Cattrall says much of the same but denies a bitter rift, “Nineteen-hour workdays are stressful, whether you’re driving a truck, working in a coal mine or on a set and trying to be your brightest at 4 o’ clock in the morning. But there’s a camaraderie that happened through all of that…The chemistry among the four of us is very strong.”
Okay so what we get from the gals is: we’re not BFF but we make do! Fair enough.
In the first production still to be released from Sex and the City 2, it looks like costume designer Patricia Field stepped up her game for the sequel with high shine and full-on glam. In this scene, SATC stars Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis are each sporting their own light-reflecting look as they appear to be participating in karaoke. Marriage? Children? Nothing can slow down the fab foursome! [Photo: Warners Bros.]

Pop star du jour Lady Gaga continued her crusade for marriage equality this weekend in Washington DC. She spoke at the National Equality March before roughly 250,000 LGBT activists and straight allies. During her passionate address, she stated that speaking at the march was the single most important moment in her career. While her speech was mostly poised and poignant, her trademark Gaga outrageousness surfaced at one point, as she screamed “ARE YOU LISTENING?!?” to President Obama. A source that was in the midst of the crowd on the Mall said she had the otherwise-rowdy crowd captivated in silence as she spoke. You go Gaga! [Photo: Splash New Online]
The quest for marriage equality was nationwide yesterday as celebrities Sophia Bush, Emmy Rossum, Perez Hilton, Kelly Osbourne and others marched in West Hollywood to protest Prop 8.
See photos from both events below.

At Broadway Impact‘s Marriage Equality Rally last night in Midtown Manhattan, Cynthia Nixon gleefully announced that she and girlfriend of five years, Christine Marinoni, got engaged last month. With Sex and the City castmate and gay marriage advocate Kristin Davis at her side, Nixon went on to proclaim that they would get married nowhere but in their home state of New York. Congrats!
