There are a lot of choice quotes from the interview with Diane Kruger in this month’s issue of Allure, but our favorite by far is the story about the time Kruger almost ran over Sharon Stone with a Segway. And we dug up the photos to prove it. Kruger explains that the incident occurred at a charity auction last year. She says:
“I was at this auction last year for amfAR — a foundation for AIDS research — and Sharon Stone was hosting. Josh [Jackson] and I were supposed to auction off a Segway. And for some reason I decided to get on it, wearing really high heels. I was totally off balance, and … I nearly killed Sharon Stone. I’m not kidding. I ran over the train of her dress, and she stumbled and almost fell off the stage. Josh had to pull me off. I could see the headlines: Diane Kruger kills Sharon Stone.”
The story is hilarious enough without the pictures, but seeing Kruger get pulled off an out of control Segway is priceless. Of course it wouldn’t have been funny if Stone was injured (or killed) but it would prove that she and her loved ones find original ways to injure themselves – remember when her ex-husband Phil Bronstein‘s foot was bitten by a Komodo dragon?

If ever there was an instance of “Stars! They are definitely NOT like us!” this would be it. Karl Lagerfeld threw a garden party this weekend in St. Tropez and all of his beautiful model-type friends came out for it. Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson were there, as were Karolina Kurkova and Vanessa Paradis (known to jealous types as the woman who has her claws in Johnny Depp).
These celebs look stylish, cool and sporty (because what’s a party without lawn bowling?) and proved once again that we just don’t have what it takes rock a fedora hat. These guys definitely do, however.

We’ve been obsessed with Diane Kruger ever since Inglourious Basterds, but we love her even more now after seeing these shots of her walking around New York with boyfriend Joshua Jackson. The pair look adorable and totally in love, not to mention the fact that Kruger looks equally enchanted by her ice cream cone. Why can’t we make Ben and Jerry’s look this chic?

There were a lot of hot looks at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and it was no easy task narrowing down the best of the best. Still, we managed to wade through all of sartorial options that Hollywood presented us and we narrowed it down to our ten favorites.
Anna Kendrick‘s long black dress had a beautiful silhouette, but what really wowed us was the elegant back detail and frilly bottom. We love her polished ponytail too, which gave the look a fun, youthful touch.
We love the detailing along Mo’nique‘s neckline, but her other accessory (that would be a Best Supporting Actress statue for Precious) is pretty stunning too. Her look is polished and that dress fits her like a glove. This is one of the more understated outfits Mo’nique has worn on the red carpet, and we love it.
Top eight looks after the jump!
There was no shortage of bombshells at the German premiere of Sherlock Holmes last night. Lead actress Rachel McAdams looked beautiful in a blue one-sleeved gown and pin-curled bob. January Jones of Mad Men strolled the red carpet looking ravishing in a fitted black number with mega-ruffled shoulders. Which petite blonde looked better? [Photos: Getty Images]
Also in Berlin was Sherlock himself Robert Downey, Jr. with his wife Susan, villain Mark Strong, and director Guy Ritchie. Reppin’ her home country, Inglourious Basterds‘ beauty Diane Kruger stopped by.

Warning: Quentin Tarantino‘s WWII movie is more about talking heads than broken Nazi craniums, although there’s some of that, too. The heads are very fine and the talk isn’t just uber-cool; it’s deep, too. Brad Pitt is the Allied scalp-hunter up against a shifty SS nemesis (the Critics’ Choice Movies Awards-nominated Christoph Waltz). Their duel comes to a head at a movie theatre set to host an explosive premiere for Der Fuhrer. Tarantino’s smart take on national and racial identity suggests his brand of pulp is ripening well.
Extras: The two-disc set comes with extended and alternate scenes, a featurette on the Eli Roth-directed film within the film, and a roundtable chat with Tarantino and Pitt.

Though we can’t help but root for Blair in her Gossip Girl catfight with Serena, Blake Lively is sure beating Leighton Meester when it comes to real-life glamour. Immaculately poised in her black, full-length gown at Chanel’s “Fete D’Hiver” benefit last night, her necklace almost seemed to comment on that ridiculous rosette Meester wore earlier this week. See who else attended the affair in the gallery below.
It begins! The 2009-2010 awards season kicked off with a bang at the 13th Annual Hollywood Awards last night in LA. Among the winners were Robert DeNiro, Hilary Swank, Julianne Moore, Carey Mulligan, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper and Gabby Sidibe. Taking home Best Director was Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker—could she be the first female filmmaker to win an Oscar in the category?

Katie Holmes showed no modesty at the Elle’s 16th Annual Women In Hollywood event last night, strutting across the red carpet in heels and a see-through black top. Don’t mistake this for a young mom’s wild night out, though—Katie says Suri’s the one that picked her outfit. “She gave me a big thumbs up,” Katie told Us. Aw, she must have learned that one from Dad! She’ll be grinning behind Wayfarers in no time.
Joining Holmes were actresses both established (Julianne Moore, Renee Zellweger) and aspiring (Kat Dennings, Shenae Grimes), along with a few men just happy to be in their presence. See why Alec Baldwin couldn’t stop smiling in the gallery below.
