Scarlett Johansson‘s pregnancy style has been flawless so far. But at the premiere for her upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier she forgot that nipple tassels are supposed to go on top of her chest. Impending motherhood and movie promo are a lot to juggle, ScarJo. We get it.
We may not have the big bucks to get the fancy blowouts celebrities get done by the best hairstylists, but there’s at least one thing we can get that puts us in the same league. Hair accessories, which have been huge this year! Floral head-pieces, sparkling stars, crystal hair-bows, and minimal metallic headbands have been all the rage and spotted on the likes of Katy Perry, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Jennifer Lawrence. And plenty more, but we’ve culled out our top 15 looks for you out of all of 2012.
A couple of stand-outs for us. Sarah Jessica Parker‘s custom Mickey Mouse ears made by L’Wren Scott, worn when she hosted the Barneys New York And Disney Electric Holiday Window Unveiling in November, were to die for. Emma Stone‘s delicate gold Jennifer Behr laurel leaf bandeaux worn at the The Amazing Spider-Man premiere at Oktyabr cinema hall in Moscow in June had us floored. Chloe Moretz also wore a darling crystal hair-bow at the National Board of Review Awards gala in January that wasn’t just age-appropriate. We insist it’s appropriate for every age. Which means a 30-year-old woman (i.e. this writer) gets to wear one and not feel like we’re edging in on a 14-year-old’s style territory! Feel free to pore through our gallery for the rest of the looks!

Correction, this headline may be a tad misleading. Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Ricci did justice to the event they were photographed at — a preview of HBO’s Vogue documentary: “In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye”, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York yesterday. Dianna Agron, not so much. We can’t understand why she didn’t bring the glamor she exemplified at “2012 Ripple of Hope” gala on Monday night. We understand the midi-length of her dress — she wore head-to-toe Bottega Veneta, which normally, would be a good thing — is on trend but we can’t help but think she looks frumpy, especially with the heavy, clumpy shoes. The makeup isn’t really working as well as her lips really need a pop of color. SJP on the other hand, reminded us of her character Carrie from Sex and The City mixing and matching a cobalt blue coat with a gorgeous rose-printed vintage frock, with jazzy Jean Michel Cazabat pointed pumps, a Fendi bag and Fred Leighton jewels. If we had ever attempted that outfit, we’d be laughed out of the building. We also loved Christina’s textured black outfit which comprises herringbone fitted top and a taffeta skirt all from Richard Chai love. The navy blue suede pumps and the berry lips are a nice touch too. Ms. Agron will get it right the next time, we’re sure.

Is it just us, or are Dianna Agron and Taylor Swift cut from the exact same cloth? That’s probably why they’re such good buddies, and we find the similarities quite remarkable. The obvious is there — that they’re beautiful blonds, rich, young and famous, of course — but how about their personal styles. That whole girly, vintage, ’40′s and ’50′s inspired steez is something they both share. That, and an abiding love for all things Shirley Maclaine. So, why wouldn’t we pit them against each other in a sartorial battle? They’re pretty evenly matched! Dianna and Taylor were both at the “2012 Ripple of Hope” gala held at The New York Marriott Marquis in New York City yesterday. Taylor’s still sticking to that no-red-lipstick thing clearly! She looked pretty dreamy in her comfort zone — sparkles — but we have to say that her bedazzled Oscar de la Renta is just hands down stunning, even though Taylor and shimmer go together like apple and pie. She accessorized cleverly with a pair of neutral Jimmy Choo peep-toes and Lorraine Schwartz earrings. Dianna mixed things up a bit, keeping her ladylike style with a Dolce & Gabanna headband, but vamping it up slightly, with a black dress by the same brand and sexy, baroque-print Christian Louboutin heels. And deep, almost magenta lips! Nice job, ladies. Now all that’s left is for you to write in to tell us whose style you prefer.

Little did Ryan Murphy know that by tweeting this photograph, Gleek Armageddon would ensue. It may look like a simple promotional shot of Glee’s new upcoming season (season four), but one very important element is missing — Dianna Agron‘s character, Quinn Fabray. We all know that she wanted to head off to Yale for college, but does this mean that she’s dunzo on the show? Not so much, tweeted Ryan. “Gleeks, please relax. Dianna is still on the show. We love her and have great plans for Quinn, ” he wrote , also adding the hashtag, “Quinn Fabray Lives.” So there you have it. Dianna’s still there, so crisis averted.
The upcoming season is already looking exciting, as Murphy has been tweeting up a storm, passing around pictures of behind the scenes shots and guest stars. We’ve already seen Darren Criss as Robin, Sarah Jessica Parker as the fictional as Vogue.com editor Isabelle Klempt and of course, Kate Hudson as Lea Michele‘s tough dance instructor, Cassandra July. Speaking of which, a video was released yesterday as a sneak peek into Hudson’s very sexy-looking role, and she’s taking on Jennifer Lopez‘s Dance Tonight in a song and dance routine. Can she pull it off? You can be judge of that when you take a look at the video after the jump. Read more…
Now that’s a hot ticket! This beats going to the Oscars, or the Emmys, the Grammys and all the rest of that awards show bizznezz. Imagine being part of an exclusive coterie invited to have a private breakfast session with President Barack Obama at the Beverly Hilton to talk about the Young America Effort he spearheads. Just over two dozen hot Hollywood stars got the opportunity to do just that yesterday, and they were suitably floored. Jessica Alba tweeted a picture of the whole group, writing, “Got up bright & early to hear BarackObama speak w an awesome group …” Ian Somehalder was pretty overcome as well, tweeting three messages. One read, “Totally surreal morning. Met up with some friends, had coffee with President Obama now tweeting. The 21st century… Let’s do this.” Another said, “Just spent my morning w/this man talkn green energy, a better America & being a young American-wow,” and third had a black-and-white photograph of two, saying, “Me and President Obama if it was 1962…” Gotta love Ian. He always gets so charged up and really puts his money where his mouth is!
The rest of the group include celebrities like Jeremy Renner, Tatyana Ali, Bryan Greenberg, Sophia Bush, Benjamin McKenzie and Jared Leto. Dianna Agron also tweeted, “Maybe the only man I truly get nervous around. Worth the early wakeup call.” Brandon Routh messaged, “Honored to speak w/ POTUS BarackObama again today! Looking forward to helping
#GetTheVoteOut,” while Adam Rodriguez said, “Not my avg mornin, NOT ur avg Pres! Keep CHANGE movin n the right direction 4 more yrs!” That certainly wasn’t the end of it. We saw a photo of Zach Braff too, and one of Zachary Quinto‘s that read, “all in all? not a bad way to start my morning. get fired up. now. it. is. ON!” You can see all the photographs of the very excited lot in the gallery below. The pictures are hilarious because Obama looks supremely chilled while the rest look like they can hardly contain themselves!

The second we saw Mark Salling and Cory Monteith dressed as Blaine and Kurt on last night’s Glee, some of us crossed our fingers that the whole two (!) hours would feature this silly stunt.
“It would have been a little bit of overkill [to swap characters for the whole episode],” Jenna Ushkowitz, whose character Tina set off the whole “Freaky Friday” sequence, told VH1 Celebrity this morning, when she stopped by for Big Morning Buzz Live. We were thrilled to see Tina get to show off her chops in full Rachel diva-mode, even if it was all just a dream, and hope that the actress gets more to do as a senior at McKinley next season.
This is going to be a long list, folks, so get some popcorn ready. There was so much material to choose from, from this year’s Met Gala that we drove ourselves into a tizzy. We weren’t ever fans of, say, peplum (gowns with an overskirt), but Solange Knowles‘ sunshine-yellow Rachel Roy number made us fans. Keeping up the bright trend was Katharine McPhee whose low-cut, unforgiving tangerine Elie Saab column was stunning. Emma Roberts wore a brighter shade of orange, and also incorporated peplum in her gorgeous Escada strapless gown. Moving toward red territory was a surprise entry: Chelsea Clinton. She wowed us in a cherry, lace-overlay strapless gown, and she totally needs to reveal who the designer is.
Other fab outfits were worn by Ashley Greene who picked a dreamy, Grecian Donna Karan gown and Amy Adams, who also wore white Giambattista Valli, with a cheeky gold bow detail at the waist. It was completely old Hollywood glamour. Another one of our red carpet favorites choosing that vibe was Amber Heard, a knockout in a dusty rose Zac Posen fishtail. The Glee gals represented and chose completely different looks. Dianna Agron went for elegant, romantic glamour in an emerald green Carolina Herrera gown. while Lea Michele picked a sexy, slashed navy blue Diane von Furtsenberg dress.
Our picks for best-dressed also include supermodel Jessica Stam wearing a pastel blue, almost gladiator-esque John Galliano for Christian Dior Haute Couture dress number with gold detailing, and Hilary Swank in a burgundy, halter-necked Michael Kors gown. There are a total of 16 looks to choose from in our gallery below, so check them all out, and tell us whose gown you like best.

We think that Selena Gomez probably got a wee bit territorial because of the amount of time Dianna Agron has been spending with Taylor Swift. The Glee actress and the songbird posted a series of cute (and cutesy) photographs taken together, on Twitter, day before yesterday, celebrating Shirley MacLaine‘s birthday. Last month, Agron and Swift even caught The Hunger Games together. No wonder Selena was feeling left out! But she took care of reasserting her position as Swifty’s BFF yesterday, posting the adorable photograph montage you see above. And get this. The photograph was on her Instagram space, on her twitter account, and on her Facebook page. Triple threat, baby!
The message that went with all three read, “Because you need a best friend that’s sings beautifully, another best friend to dance with you and another to listen. Oh and cupcakes… Cupcakes.” Got that, Agron? She said “best friend.” We’re just kidding about all of this, of course! There’s no rivalry between the three, and they’re all really good friends who share plenty of the same interests — dancing crazy, baking cupcakes, playing the ukulele, playing dress up and the like. Good times!

Who would have thought that Shirley MacLaine‘s 78th birthday would have caused such a commotion? We do love her, but 78 seems a rather random number to go all out for? You’re wondering whether we’re talking about what Shirley’s friends or family ended up doing for her bday, right? Wrong. Try Dianna Agron and Taylor Swift and their merry bunch of pals. They decided to get together, quirkpots that they are (and they do want you to know it), and as Taylor explained on Twitter, “We dressed up full-time fancy and went out in celebration of Shirley MacLaine’s birthday.” She retweeted a couple too, like this one, which read “Always something to celebrate… Today it was Shirley.” The next one said, “Oh ya know, just a regular Tuesday night.” Each of the messages had a photographs attached to it, like the one you see above and the one below.
