
Well, trading barbs on Twitter and spilling stories about death threats and eating disorders to the tabs hasn’t been doing much to boost the reputations of either Brandi Glanville or LeAnn Rimes — not to mention the kind of lasting damage this is going to have on Glanville and Eddie Cibrian’s kids. So it’s about time LeAnn tried something completely different: Winning this war through kindness and compassion. Or something like that.
The country singer recently sat down with Giuliana Rancic for E! Special: LeAnn Rimes, which will air on Sunday, and spoke in a very different tone than her acerbic tweets have expressed. In an excerpt of the interview posted last night, Rimes talks about the aftermath of meeting and falling in love with Cibrian on the set of a movie in 2009, when both were married to other people.
“I wish I handled it differently because I wish I could have been better for me, for Brandi, for Dean [Sheremet, her ex-husband], for Eddie and for everyone else,” she says, as soothing spa-like music plays in the background. “I know, in this situation, it’s going to take some time. All I wish is that everyone that was hurt, that we hurt, that I hurt, can be happy.”
