Do Rose Byrne and Anna Faris have the same stylist? They look like twins on the red carpet! Even their hair is almost the same length and style. Both remarkably slender ladies wore similar gowns, although Rose’s Vivienne Westwood shows more skin than Anna’s Diane von Furstenberg. We do love us some black sequins, and even though she’s all covered up, Anna’s DVF has our vote.
Happy Halloween, Fablifers! We’ve already shown you the 40 craziest celeb Halloween costumes, and our 10 faves from this past weekend. But those were all such polished, professional affairs, weren’t they? We’re pretty sure that social networking was created mostly so that we could share hastily snapped pics of ourselves and friends making fools of themselves at Halloween parties. And in that respect — silly celebs in costumes, they’re just like us! The collection below gathers the blurry, the scary, the red-eyed, the not-quite-identifiable and the wish-we-were-there shots that famous people from Nina Dobrev and Lea Michele to Eli Roth and Zachary Quinto posted to their Twitter feeds over the weekend. There are some brilliant homemade costumes in the bunch — a bunch of Glee kids as the Rugrats, Leslie Mann as Kreayshawn — after all, many of these actors started off as geeky theater kids. Some A-listers clearly got professional help with their getups (cheating!). And though some look like lame last-minute costumes, we don’t mind because still love seeing the rich and famous not taking themselves seriously.
Peruse the gallery, steal ideas for tonight, and oooh and ahhh at yet another shot of Heidi Klum miraculously making herself gross.
Let’s just cut to the chase: Bridesmaids is as good as you’d hoped it would be. Feel free to stop reading this review, slip into one of the half dozen chartreuse and/or peach numbers you’ve collected from the many weddings you’ve gotten drunk through, and proceed immediately to the nearest movie theater. Kristen Wiig’s hilarious star turn, great cast chemistry and excellent dialogue lift what could have been a perfunctory rom-com plot into a movie that’s going to have you spitting out your Cherry Coke like a sugary geyser. The only surprising thing part of all this? That anyone would find any excellent lady-lead movie surprising.
With summer just around the corner, so many articles are trying to convince us to get in shape and show off our beach bodies. Why go through all that torture? Treat yourself right and go to a movie instead! You can’t get sunburned in a theater and Milk Duds are an excellent source of Vitamin…something. Not enough proof for ya? Fine. You know how they say that laughter is the best medicine? Well these five ladies are gonna give you a double dose of pure hilarity on the big screen this summer. So really you owe it to yourself to check ‘em out. Which one is going to give you the biggest chuckle for your movie dollar? Well let’s take a look and see!
Funny Femme: Mila Kunis
Movie: Friends With Benefits
Opening: July 22nd
Mila Kunis needs no introduction to comedy connoisseurs. She probably has the most impressive resume of anyone on this list; staring not only as Jackie in That 70s Show, but also as the voice of Meg Griffin in the legendary Family Guy. She brought her comedy chops to the big screen in 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and just recently blew all of our minds with her stint in Black Swan. The performance may not have earned her an Oscar, but maybe we can make up for it by giving her the coveted “Funniest Female Of The Summer 2011″ award for Friends With Benefits!
SPOILER ALERT! In addition to LOLS a’plenty, there might be a little girl-on-girl kiss action in Bridesmaids. We got a chance to catch up with two of the movie’s stars, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper, and asked them about that intimate moment and if they think they have a shot grabbing that Best Kiss crown away from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (who will surely be nominated for Breaking Dawn). Check out their answer above; our entire conversation with the funny ladies lives below the jump. Bridesmaids opens May 13th, but you know this already—duh.
