Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, joyful Kwanzaa, and — why not? — happy birthday too, while you’re at it! It’s the holiday seasons, folks; the time of year for giving to our nearest and dearest. And for you, dear readers, we could think of no better gift than 100 of the sexiest bikini photos that this year had to offer! We’ve got some of everybody, and we do mean everybody. There might even been one of you in there. We’ve got that many!

Of course this uber-gallery is presided over by Beyonce, who ruled over our 2012 Bikini Awards just like she does with the rest of the known universe. In fact, she was able to defy time and win the coveted award with pics that were (technically) from 2011. That’s the power of Queen Bey! In addition to her, our list is chock-full of other pop queens like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga, and big-screen A-listers like Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Alba. TV personalities Maria Menounos and Angela Simmons made a strong showing, too. We’ve also got shots from the usual suspects like reality star Kim Kardashian, never-shy Twitter mama Adrianne Curry and Coco, the Patron Saint of Donks.

Some of our very own VH1 stars like Mob Wives’ Drita D’Avanzo and Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada put in an appearance, as did Hunger Games leading lady (and our personal favorite) Jennifer Lawrence. Professional hotties Kate Upton and Brooklyn Decker look straight out of the pages of Sports Illustrated, while Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are simply heavenly.

On Friday were devastated to learn that rapper and Bring It On actress Natina Reed passed away in Georgia. The horrific news was made even more sad when we realized that it happened on the eve of former co-star Gabrielle Union’s birthday. So we’d like to send all sorts of good vibes and positive energy to her, as well as Reed’s loved ones and family.

When we told our friends that Gabrielle was turning 40th today, they all had the exact same reaction: “She’s 40!? Wait, that’s impossible!” The actress still brings it on with timeless looks and a killer bod that just gets better as the years go by. Seriously, the lady hasn’t aged a day since Clinton was in office! Obviously in our minds she’ll always be our 90s teen movie queen, with memorable parts in classics like She’s All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, and (of course) Bring It On. But she’s gracefully graduated from the high school roles in the last few years, with parts in Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds, and most recently in Think Like A Man.

She may have hit a rough patch in the mid-2000s when her marriage to NBA star Chris Howard dissolved, but now she’s found love yet again with basketballer Dwyane Wade. So in honor of her turning the big 4-0, let’s take a look back at Gabrielle’s 40 hottest red carpet styles (and of course) her most bangin’ bikinis. We’ll prove that she hasn’t aged a dang day. Dwyane Wade Decorates His Champion Toes, Inspires A Trend?

Everyone’s feet take a beating in the summer. We can’t even imagine what it’s like for the feet of professional athletes — let alone an NBA champion like Dwyane Wade. So we totally understand if the dude wants to pamper himself a little, now that the season’s over, and get a nice pedicure. We like to imagine that he and gf Gabrielle Union went together. But we’re on the fence about his decision to paint his toenails. Maybe he’s got a couple of bruised-black toes and wants to hide them under this attractive polish?

“Matte black paint… RockStar ish,” Wade wrote as a caption to the above Instagram. Does he mean “rock star ish,” or “rock-star-ish”? And is this all just a late entry into our list of the 25 most scandalous celebrity Twitpics of the year so far? We’ll file this away for consideration at the end of 2012. In the meantime, counting down the minutes until other guys jump on this trend. Let’s get some nail art in there, too, boys!

Welcome back to the ever-popular and much beloved VH1 Celebrity Bikini Awards! Yes, it’s that time of year again, where we pit your favorite stripped down celebs against one another to see has the most bangin’ bikini bod of 2012. Happy summer, folks!

Any D-lister knows that all they gotta do to make headlines is strut their stuff beachside in as little clothing as possible. But amazingly, this same trick also works for the Hollywood elite! No matter how big their movies open, superstars in bikinis will always lead the news. And 2012 has been no different! Fresh off her unfortunate phone hacking, Scarlett Johansson forgot her troubles (and Sean Penn) under the hot tropical sun. Style Seen: Gabrielle Union’s Killer Look Has Been Broughten

The fact that Gabrielle Union is going to turn 40 this year and still looks like the fresh-faced cheerleader we remember from Bring It On is enough to make us a wee bit green. Still, we’re very happy for the lovely, smart actress, who makes her second appearance in a Tyler Perry film with Good Deeds, opening today. When she stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live today, she said that dating Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade hasn’t tempted her to join the cast of Basketball Wives anytime soon. But after seeing what she wore here, we hope she doesn’t stay too far from the VH1 offices for long.

LeBron James Is Engaged!

We’re going to start the new year with some happy, love-filled news because we’re sentimental like that. LeBron James is now engaged to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson and chose to pop the question in style at a New Year’s Eve party. The bash was hosted by LeBron’s teammate Dwyane Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union and was held at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, Miami. Right after asking him to marry her, LeBron picked up their children — LeBron Jr. and Bryce, who are 7 and 4 respectively — and took them for a twirl around the dance floor. The celebration was a double whammy: It was also a belated birthday party for LeBron, who had turned 27 the day before. Congratulations, you two!

Gabrielle Union hasn’t forgotten the reason for the season: to look amazing in a two-piece. Oh, and to spend quality time cherishing your dear, dear family and friends. But mostly the two-piece thing. The Think Like a Man star used her vacation time wisely today by frolicking on Miami Beach with the incredibly cute children of boyfriend Dwyane Wade, Zaire and Zion. We, on the other hand, will be spending our holidays having an allergic reaction to wool. Gabrielle Union Defends Rihanna’s “Man Down,” Talks About Her Own Assault

A lot of people are up in arms about Rihanna’s “Man Down” video, though we’re guessing most of them haven’t actually lived through such a harrowing ordeal themselves. Actress Gabrielle Union supports Rihanna’s “Man Down” video, however, in large part because it’s, well, pretty true-to-life. Tweeted Union, “Every victim/survivor of rape is unique, including how they THINK they’d like justice 2 be handed out,” giving Rihanna props by saying, “#mandown video did a GREAT job of getting the ENTIRE world TALKING abt RAPE. I hope tht it leads 2 HEALING & PREVENTS RAPE.” Gabrielle later went on to explain that, as in the video, she tried to shoot the rapist who attacked her when she was 19. “Stranger who robbed the store I worked at. He put his gun dwn durin the rape & asked me 2 had it 2 him,” Union tweeted to an inquiring fan, linking to an Oprah sexual assault survivor show she did in 2009. Call us crazy, but we’re probably going to go with the opinion of someone who actually lived the video, rather than everyone else who just watched it.
