Known for his roles in Kick-Ass, The A-Team, and BET original series Being Mary Jane, Omari Hardwick’s latest character might be his best yet. As James “Ghost” St. Patrick in the Starz series, Power, Hardwick plays a nightclub owner who doubles as a big-time drug distributor in New York City (think Pablo Escobar or Frank Lucas). Living what seems like the perfect life, Ghost sees his nightclub as an escape from his dark past and a chance at a legitimate business. Read more…
As Think Like A Man Too continues to rake in money at the box office, we have to ask: Is the sequel to the ensemble film based on Steve Harvey‘s self-help book succeeding because of its commentary on gender and relationships, or its terribly unclever title? When big movies warrant a continuation, the temptation to go for the pun becomes way too real. Puns are fun! People like to laugh! As much as slapping a number on the end of each spin-off can feel like the easy way out, it’s also the least embarrassing way to go.
In addition to Being Mary Jane and starring in films like Think Like A Man Too (out Friday), Gabrielle Union somehow finds time to show up to NBA games on the regular. It helps that she’s engaged to Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, but our girl has always been athletic. Back in 2007 she was interested in dating dudes in the sports world, but not necessarily the one who eventually put a ring on it (sorry, D!).
Did Scarlett Johansson lose a job over her love of soda? Which Oscar nominee has been disqualified? Will Anna Paquin‘s Rogue appear in X-Men: Days of Future Past?
Gabrielle Union isn’t ashamed of what comes naturally, The Wolf Of Wall Street gets even raunchier, and the X-Men get to use a secret weapon in the franchise’s next flick.
Is Prince William going back to school? Does Tim Tebow have a new job in football? Where is Stephen Colbert in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug?
Athletes are like modern-day Greek gods, aren’t they? They’re bodies are flawlessly sculpted and yoked, they inspire slavish hero worship, and more often than not, they’re beautiful (were Greek gods rich? Because they’re that, too). It’s no wonder that the biggest sports stars attract some of the sexiest, most sought-after celebs in Hollywood. Yesterday, the folks at the Gossip Table had some fun picking out their favorite celeb-athlete couples, from Carrie Underwood and Mike Comrie to Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Now we’re taking a look at the ladies who aren’t necessarily coupled up with just one sports god — but let’s just say they have a type.
Ah, Gabrielle Union. What men wouldn’t do to be with her, what women wouldn’t do to know the secret anti-aging potion she takes. Seriously, the Bring It On babe is turning 41 today, and we can’t see a single sign of the years that have passed since she first took the Clovers to victory. Just take a look at her Instagram and you’ll see it’s not even makeup keeping her looking so baby-faced. To prove our point, we put together a gallery of her from her first modeling gig to the present, and we want you to tell us what order they go in. The answer key is below. No cheating!
Last night’s ESPY Awards were a largely uneventful affair, albeit one filled with awkwardly dressed athletes and a bunch of bros bro-ing down. Despite this general lack of excitement, one thing that people ALWAYS get geared up for at events such as this is to find out who’s sexing who!
Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, joyful Kwanzaa, and — why not? — happy birthday too, while you’re at it! It’s the holiday seasons, folks; the time of year for giving to our nearest and dearest. And for you, dear readers, we could think of no better gift than 100 of the sexiest bikini photos that this year had to offer! We’ve got some of everybody, and we do mean everybody. There might even been one of you in there. We’ve got that many!
Of course this uber-gallery is presided over by Beyonce, who ruled over our 2012 Bikini Awards just like she does with the rest of the known universe. In fact, she was able to defy time and win the coveted award with pics that were (technically) from 2011. That’s the power of Queen Bey! In addition to her, our list is chock-full of other pop queens like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga, and big-screen A-listers like Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Alba. TV personalities Maria Menounos and Angela Simmons made a strong showing, too. We’ve also got shots from the usual suspects like reality star Kim Kardashian, never-shy Twitter mama Adrianne Curry and Coco, the Patron Saint of Donks.
Some of our very own VH1 stars like Mob Wives’ Drita D’Avanzo and Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada put in an appearance, as did Hunger Games leading lady (and our personal favorite) Jennifer Lawrence. Professional hotties Kate Upton and Brooklyn Decker look straight out of the pages of Sports Illustrated, while Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are simply heavenly.
So tear off the wrapping paper and dive in to our terrific 2012 retrospective of everyone’s favorite two-piece. Happy Holidays!
