Charlize Theron, Jessica Simpson, Other Celeb Moms Totally Embarrassing Their Kids

We’re sometimes under the illusion that motherhood has a calming effect on celebrities, making them less interesting to gossips and paparazzi. And then we remember Britney Spears (and, like, our own mothers). Nope, moms are people too, and that means they are bound to make their kids want to disown them. And the children of celeb moms have it even worse than the rest of us. This weekend gave us so many examples of things that would have made us stomp into our rooms, put on the “Keep Out!” sign and write frantically in our diaries how we would be the first documented case of dying of embarrassment.

1. Jessica Simpson wore this denim, snakeskin-patterned, ruffled tent to her baby shower. And still insists she’s having only one little girl.

2. Kris Jenner posted a photo of herself naked and pregnant with Rob Kardashian on her blog to wish him a happy birthday on Saturday. “Happy 25th birthday to my wonderful, handsome son, Rob!! Rob, you are the best son a mother could ask for and you make me proud every day. I love you so much!!”

Party-Hearty Goldie Hawn Emerges Looking Quite “Happy” In London

Goldie Hawn still knows how to party, guys. She may be 66 years old, but we have a feeling she could more than keep up with any of us. Here she is emerging — or rather, teetering — out of Annabel’s in London, where she was with daughter Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy for their Hawn Foundation’s UK launch last night. Did we mention the time at which the pictures were taken? 4:30 a.m. You go girl! She also gets props for having a smile plastered on her face even though she looks … plastered. Stars On The AmFar Cinema Against Aids 2011 Red Carpet

This is the life! The eighteenth annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala took place yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival. The super schmancy event was held at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France and involved the usual — gowns and jewelry worth approximately three of our lifetimes! Kirsten Dunst showed up looking as fresh as a daisy, completely unaffected by the rumor that her nighttime partying kept Brangelina up all night.

Janet Jackson looked pretty svelte and rocked some bright blue nail polish! Irina Shayk showed up with a slit cut up till there, while cuties Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto snuggled up for the cameras. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani added a bit of punk to the proceedings while old hands Goldie Hawn and Brooke Shields looked flawless in dull gold and white respectively. Celebs Migrate For The Holidays

There’s a certain kind of celebrity that flies from its native habitat of New York, Los Angeles or London to breed, bath in warm ocean waters or forage for food and drink along remote tropical beaches. A newly reunited Jude Law and Sienna Miller fall into this category. The on-off-on couple spent the holidays in the Caribbean, as did Rihanna and Marc Jacobs (not together, of course). On the Pacific side, there have been two very rare spottings in Hawaii: Pierce Brosnan with his wife and a shirtless Jeremy Piven.

A different breed has been spotted playing in colder climates this holiday season, including Katy Perry and Russell Brand, now engaged after a pre-Christmas London rendezvous of shopping, sledding and most likely sessions of baby-making practice. But Aspen is the real hot gathering spot in the snow this year, with sightings of Mariah Carey, Antonio Banderas, Paris Hilton and Leann Rimes. [Photo: Splash News Online]

Birth Dating: Who’s Older? Harold Ramis Or Goldie Hawn?

Harold Ramis co-wrote National Lampoon’s Animal House, directed Groundhog Day, and was one of the Ghostbusters. Goldie Hawn danced on Laugh-In, won an Oscar for Cactus Flower and was the executive producer of Private Benjamin, her biggest hit.
