Hope Solo’s Boyfriend Jerramy Stevens Arrested After Extremely Depressing Domestic Incident

Hope Solo's Boyfriend Jerramy Stevens Arrested For Domestic Assault

After lady drooling over our girl crush Hope Solo during this summer’s Olympics, we assumed the next time we’d hear from the soccer star would be when she decided to present at the ESPYS or, well, during at the 2016 Olympics. (We’re not the biggest sports fans, as it were.) It’s depressing and surprising then to hear about the gold metal goalie’s domestic incident with boyfriend Jerramy Stevens. According to TMZ, former Seattle Seahawks player Stevens was arrested for 4th degree assault Monday following a fight with Solo. If that wasn’t depressing enough, the site also claims that “cops found Solo with a small amount of blood on her elbow” and “she wasn’t very cooperative with police.” Ugh, Hope Solo should be peering at us from the side of the Wheaties box, not making the front page of TMZ! This is unacceptable, Jerramy Stevens. Unacceptable.

Now that we think about it, we never thought we’d hear about Hope’s altercation with DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy either. Remember? The Olympian wrote in her memoir about how her dance partner slapped across the face? Yup, also horrible. Jerramy Stevens was released from custody later in Monday after it was determined that there was not enough evidence to charge him. Oh, that we could return to this summer, when Hope Solo was only in the news for being awesome at soccer and crazy hot. Those were epic times.

Hope Solo And Ryan Lochte: Just How Different Can Two Olympians Be? The Answer Is, Very!

Hope Solo, VH1 Do Something Awards, Ryan Lochte, Las Vegas

Let’s just start off with U.S Olympian Hope Solo and see how she fared over her weekend. Hope got her medal on (again) at the VH1 Do Something Awards yesterday, in Santa Monica, winning the “Do Something Athlete” trophy. And she did so wearing a simple black sheath and black pumps. Simple, non-intrusive and when compared to fellow Olympian, Ryan Lochte, boring. Seriously, these two could not have gone in two more different directions this weekend. Ryan’s had his calendar full these past few days. His run started on Thursday night, where he made an appearance at the WWE SummerSlam VIP Kickoff party at the Beverly Hills Hotel. But his time is precious these days, so he flew off to Vegas, the very same night, for Worship Thursday at TAO nightclub where People reports that, “Camera phones went crazy, and a bevy of ladies turned their heads to his table, hoping to catch a glance.” Can someone give us a “Jeah?”

Anyhow, these two appearances were fully clothed. It’s what went down on Saturday that we’re most concerned with, the evidence of which you can see in the photograph on the right. Ryan celebrated his 28th birthday, which was actually on August 3, and his Olympic wins at the swank Azure pool at The Palazzo in Vegas. And he wore those patriotic shorts you see with nothing else but … Sorry, guys. We lost our train of thought looking at his abs. They have this weirdly hypnotic effect on us. We were saying, he also had his Olympic medal strung around his neck providing sufficient bling. He spent the day hanging with fellow swimmers, Cullen Jones and Conor Dwyer, and fans and Azure even got out a big birthday cake for him with Olympic rings icing decorations. Of course the cake was brought out by a bevvy of ladies in gold bikinis, with fake Olympic medals around their necks. We feel another “Jeah” rising. But this, was the icing on our cake. Remember those shocking pink Speedos Ryan showed off on the Tonight Show? The one with Kristen Bell, as well? Ryan, actually changed into them during the day. We’re not kidding. You can see for yourself, here. So, yeah — Hope and Ryan? Chalk and cheese.

Well, Hope Solo And Maksim Chmerkovskiy Sure Handled This DWTS Slapping Thing Badly

Hope Solo claims Maksim Chmerkovskiy slapped her in memoir

Wow, this could not have gone worse, could it? According to Olympic soccer badass Hope Solo, her Dancing With The Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was downright punishing in his teaching methods last fall. Then it just gets worse from there. “He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly,” she wrote in her new memoir Solo: A Memoir of Hope, all of which lead up to an incident before last fall’s Halloween show. Revealed Solo, “He wanted my head in a specific position. To achieve that, he slapped me across the face. Hard.” We can all agree that’s horrible, right? Hope then explains that she didn’t report Maksim to DWTS officials because “she didn’t want to end [his] career.” What…what did you think was going to happen when you wrote it in a book, permanently and for all to see?

So what’s the best way for Maksim to reply to Hope’s allegations? Correct! The answer is: send a few ambiguously outraged tweets. “Always hated hypocrites and liars … but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense,” the dance pro declared on Twitter. We wonder what kind of hypocrisy Chemerkovskiy might be referring too. Also, what “opportunity” could Hope possibly gain from revealing that her dance partner hit her for no reason whatsoever? What…what is he even talking about? This whole situation is not good. Not good at all.

Hope Solo Is Today’s Olympian To Watch: 10 Reasons She’s Our Favorite Olympic Troublemaker

If you have eyes, ears and access to the internet, you’ve probably already heard of Hope Solo, goalkeeper for the U.S. Olympic women’s soccer team and (according to many) one of the greatest goalies in the world. As much as we bow to Hope’s raw, unbridled soccer abilities, it’s really her fun-loving attitude and lack of filter that have won us over in the past weeks. She’s like your crazy college roommate, except she could kick your head clean off your shoulders! The U.S. women’s team squares off against Canada in the semifinals today, so before they go on to play either France or Japan for the gold (we’re using the power of positive thinking!), get to know Solo, and the many reasons she’s our badass Olympian of choice:
