Pastel Palettes Are A Big Trend On The Golden Globes Red Carpet
While goth was a major trend at the Golden Globes last night, another major direction that the fashion was inclined towards was the diametrically opposite — pastels. Shimmering nudes, pretty neutrals, and creamy white were all spotted on stars providing a wonderful foil to the ever-prevelant black. Leading this brigade was Amy Adams in a romantic nude Marchesa gown with a tulle fishtail complete with Tiffany & Co. jewelery. Isla Fisher also chose a nude palette but sparkled thanks to beaded embroidery that was sewn all over her love Reem Acra gown. Amanda Seyfried was another highlight in a shell, flowing, lace-panelled Givenchy Couture custom-made gown which had us sold. Megan Fox nailed it, as well, in a blush-colored, strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewelery and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. Bringing in the sexy were, who else, but Jennifer Lopez and Lea Michele. J.Lo worked it like a pro, pouring her curves in a nude Zuhair Murad long-sleeved gown covered in ivory lace overlay. Lea went her regular route by showing off some leg, but still looked quite lovely in a white, halter-necked, textured Elie Saab gown and bag paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Giambattista Valli heels. Heidi Klum also showed off some major stems in a one-shouldered white Alexandre Vauthier gown with gold, embellished trim.
Adding little washes of pastel color were Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie. Kelly chose a mint green, fishtail Zac Posen gown that somehow, ended up working with her lavender hair. She buffed up her outfit with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Judith Leiber bag and Jacob & Co jewels. Nicole, on the other hand, was elegant in an vintage-looking, old-Hollywood inspired, pale blue and white Naeem Khan gown. She even worked in pale blue eyeshadow — how’s that for retro? Les Miserables Premiere Wars: Anne Hathaway Vs. Amanda Seyfried Vs. Isla Fisher
It’s here, it’s here! Les Miserables finally premiered yesterday Odeon Leicester Square in London. As expected, both Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried chose outre designs that we’re not quite sure about. What do you think of Anne’s white satin Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture gown? We love the draped back and the beading but the billowing sleeves leave us a bit cold. Amanda was the yang to Anne’s yin picking a jet-black Balenciaga Spring 2013 look. It’s aggressively ruffled, in our opinion, although the white piping is a nice touch. We have serious follicle envy, though, because her hair looks incredibly lush. And Anne’s crop is totally working for her now that it’s grown out a tad. The premiere afterparty was held at the Camden Roundhouse, and the two actresses made a quick change for the do.
Anne is wearing an Altuzarra top and skirt which we’re totally digging. Even though she looks completely teeny in it. Like, ridiculously tiny. But so elegant, right? Amanda picked leather pants and a gorgeous bottle-green cape that looks chic, yet weather appropriate. But, what of Isla Fisher, you say? Where does she fit in, in this whole thing? Well, we saved the best for last because Ms. Fisher wore a white Willow Spring 2013 gown which almost caused our eyeballs to pop out. Isla Fisher and Terry Crews Join The Cast For The New Season Of Arrested Development
When we saw pictures of Michael Cera in the set of the Bluth family model home last month, we nearly blue ourselves. Now we have even more exciting news to pass on about the new series of Arrested Development coming to Netflix next year. According to Zap2It, Bachelorette star Isla Fisher and ex-footballer/current Newsroom actor Terry Crews are reportedly joining the cast, along with the usual suspects like Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Portia De Rossi. Their roles haven’t been announced yet, but we’re still pretty pumped. Will Terry be the Bluth family’s personal linebacker? Will Isla invite her husband Sacha Baron Cohen on the show? A guest spot by Borat would definitely be something! Or maybe the British beauty will play the lovely Rita Leed’s friend. Charlize Theron says she’d definitely be down for it, and so would we! Premiere Wars: Ashley Greene Vs. Isla Fisher Vs. Kirsten Dunst
Two premieres went down last night and both happened in L.A. The first was Ashley Greene‘s new film, The Apparition, which rolled its red carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. We’re loving the color of Ashley’s strapless, raspberry Donna Karen Atelier gown. Its complements her new lighter ‘do like a dream. What a difference a little gust of wind can make (as you can see in the first and second picture.) A little puff and bam — a whole lot of very toned leg. We love the drape of the cascading ruffle down the side as well. We’re not sure what to make of the nude Jimmy Choo slingbacks, and wish she had picked a more exciting heel. But Ashley looks so glamorous that we’re going to ignore that quibble.
Giving her competition, were Isla Fisher and Kirsten Dunst at the premiere of their movie, Bachelorette, at the ArcLight in Hollywood. Let’s start with Isla (the third photograph) whose red, lace-overlay Reem Acra Resort 2013 dress is plain stunning. Especially that deep-V neckline. It’s at once sexy and demure. She opted for nude satin Sergio Rossi pumps, which we don’t mind, but wish she had chosen a strappier heel instead. But again, that dress, with that hair, makeup and smile get a big thumbs up from us. Kirsten was the most bohemian of the lot wearing a turquoise Jean Paul Gaultier Resort 2013 maxi, belted at waist, ruffled at the bodice with cute over-sized buttons lining the torso. We’re not sure about the belt, but love the color on her. The mussed hair and rose lipstick works for us too. She accessorized this look with Chloe’s “Elsie” bag, a Jennifer Mayer gold pendent necklace and a Rolex watch. All three actresses pulled off completely different looks and while we’re leaning towards Isla’s more, we’d like to know who you favor?

The new trailer for Kristen Dunst‘s wedding comedy Bachelorette is out, and it looks flawless. It also looks very, very familiar. A pack of friends who must grapple with jealousy, gentlemen and Jell-O shots before eventually realizing the only thing that really matters is friendship? Sign us up…again! Really, now that we think about it, Bachelorette is basically the bachelorette party scene we never got to see in Bridesmaids, blown out into full-length movie form. Kirsten Dunst And Isla Fisher Look Totally Worse For Wear
Well, lookie here. It’s Isla Fisher and Kirsten Dunst staggering down the streets of New York. Right outside Score’s Gentlemen’s Club, in fact. And they look TRASHED. Fortunately, or unfortunately — we’re not sure which yet — it’s all for a scene from their film, Bachelorette, which also stars Lizzy Caplan! This one’s going to be a hoot although this particular scene — not so much. Apparently it ends with some very drunken throwing up, the pictures of which we will spare you of. Part of us wishes this was real though, and that Isla and Kirsten were BFF’ing it up on a crazy girls night. But since Isla’s a pretty adorable mom, it doesn’t seem likely that she’d go on papp’d shennanigans with Kiki. But hey, we have celluloid for that!

Isla Fisher In Talks To Join Practically Every A-Lister Alive In The Great Gatsby
Do you think director Baz Lurhmann is cramming as many hug celebs as he can into the upcoming Great Gatsby just to distract us from the fact none us have thought about the story since high school? Even then, we just skimmed the end and winged the essay questions. If it turns out that Isla Fisher is cast in Great Gastby, she will only be one of many A-listers depicting the death of the American Dream; the film which starts shooting this summer. Fisher will play Myrtle, mistress of Ben Affleck’s Tom Buchanan and one of many characters we will have to look over Cliffs Notes to remember. Too bad the ushers yell at you if you bring a flashlight to read them during the slow bits.
In addition to Affleck, the Rango actress joins Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby himself, Tobey MaGuire as the narrator Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan. The only thing more distracting than filling the cast with big names will be shooting the whole thing in 3D. They can market it as Avatar, but with power-man socialites instead of aliens. Leave the last part of that sentence off and customers will come streaming in!
Abigail Breslin Matures Before Our Eyes At Rango Premiere
Maybe we need to just get over the fact that Abigail Breslin is no longer the same little girl who starred in Little Miss Sunshine. Still, we can’t help but be surprised at how stylish and mature she looks at the premiere for her latest film, Rango, co-starring Johnny Depp. Looks like our favorite young fashion icon Chloe Moretz might have some competition now that Breslin is starting to dial up the style. (And please note that even though this outfit is similar Vanessa Hudgens’ blazer-on-top-of-minidress look earlier, Breslin doesn’t overdo the shine.)
