We’re told that the Cannes Film Festival is supposed to center around movies (or something?), but we know better. It’s all about the hot styles worn by the most glam goddesses in showbiz as they strut their stuff down the red carpet!
Earlier this week, we told you about how Miley Cyrus referred to her boyfriend/fiance/superstud Liam Hemsworth as her “hubby” in an interview with Cosmopolitan. The quote sparked an untold number of rumors suggestion that the power-couple have already tied the knot without us catching on. Well, it turns out we missed a crucial part of the interview: She actually straight up said she was married, y’all! “I’m happy I don’t have to date anyone,” she said within the pages. And later on while telling an anecdote she dropped another glaring hint nugget: “‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are so cruel!'”
OK, so she might have just taken a conversational short cut, and what she meant to say was “I’m so happy that I’m about to get married in the very near future.” But that’s kind of a mouthful, no? A rep for Hemsworth strenuously denied the wedding bell buzz to People, saying that they are “definitely NOT married.”
But hey, reps deny stuff all the time. And it doesn’t explain those Twitpics from Christmas that showed Miley and Liam wearing matching rings. And it really doesn’t explain why those same photos mysteriously vanished soon after being posted! Did Miley and Liam get married in secret? It wouldn’t be the first time in Hollywood history. Head on down to the gallery below and see 20 other famous couples who got hitched on the super DL!

Good lord, did anything not horrible happen to the Jackson family growing up? (Answer: probably not) As if Michael’s epically tragic everything wasn’t enough, apparently Janet Jackson had her breasts bound while working on Good Times as a child actress, a traumatic experience she describes in her new book. Says Jackson, “I was actually doing Good Times, and on our first day of shooting they bound my chest because they thought my breasts were too big.” Are studios following some sort of mathematical formula to screw up child actors? Because that’s what it seems like. It’s a testament to Janet being a bad-ass that she went on to become a multimillionaire performing artist rather than permanent changing into sweat pants and burying herself in Butterfinger Minis. Which is undoubtedly what we would have done.
Explains Janet, “I got the part when I was 10, we started shooting when I was 11 — I was developing early. It made me feel that the way that I am, it’s not good enough.” Not that she let it hold her back! This puts Jackson’s Superbowl boob flash in a whole new light! Before it was a completely unintentional (or, well, totally intentional), semi-humiliating wardrobe malfunction; now it’s a spectacular F U to anyone who would dare try to restrain Janet’s goods, co-starring Justin Timberlake. And for that, Janet’s girls, we salute you.
Lindsay Lohan looked pretty slick in a long black gown last night while attending the Marc Jacobs afterparty at Club Hiro in Manhattan, as part of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Lilo looked fresh and hydrated for a change. Not bad! Other celebrities including Madonna and boyfriend Jesus Luz, Courtney Love and daughter Frances Bean Cobain, Janet Jackson, and of course Marc Jacobs and fiance Lorenzo Martone, came out to celebrate the designer. In bad taste or just a timely tribute? The BBC is apparently planning a new talent contest where wannabe dancers have to master Michael Jackson‘s legendary stage moves to win. The show, tentatively named “Move Like ” will aim to find the UK’s most talented dancer, and producers are hoping to entice members of the Jackson family to be on the judging panel.
“People are so passionate about Michael it makes sense to build a talent show devoted to him and his incredible performances. And given that his family played such a huge part in his life, it makes sense for one of them to be a judge. Jermaine, Janet or LaToya would be brilliant,” a show source says.
While we’re not doubting that this program would be a great watch – especially since MJ was one of the world’s most incredible movers – but we can’t help thinking that the chances of this show airing if Michael Jackson hadn’t died are approximately zero. [Photo: Splash News Online]
