We’ve already posted about how Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway, The Dark Knight‘s lovely ladies both wore the color white the premiere of the film yesterday. It’s up to you to decide who looks best between them, between Marion’s creamy, tulle-heavy Christian Dior frock, and Anne’s draped, jersey Prabal Gurung gown. It’s not going to be easy to decide between the film’s male stars, though. How hot do Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt look? It borders on ridiculous! Joe’s dove grey suit is Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière, FYI. And whoever designed Tom and Christian’s suits — good job. We’re sending you a bottle of wine. We love the fact that the film’s stars look so spiffy, but looks like they used up all the sartorial points at the premiere. Because some of their guests weren’t exactly as well dressed as them. We’re looking at you Jay Manuel and Pharrell Williams. The horror lies right after the jump. Read more…
After 18 cycles, Tyra Bank’s America’s Next Top Model is still going strong. But it appears that she doesn’t think co-stars J. Alexander, Jay Manuel, and Nigel Barker — who have been on since ANTM began in 2003 — are necessary to the show’s staying power. Yesterday, they were told their contracts would not be renewed for the 19th season, according to the New York Post.
Well, even if Tyra doesn’t, we sure will miss these three. J. Alexander was the fabulous runway diva coach extraordinaire who helped the contestants perfect their walk on the runway while showing off his own lovely legs. For a few seasons, Miss J also held a spot at panel, where he often stole the show with some outlandish getups, until he was replaced by Andre Leon Talley in 2010. Jay Manuel served as the creative director on all photo shoots and never hesitated to offer his opinions while never mussing his perfectly coiffed, silver ‘do. And they’re going to need some serious male eye candy to replace “noted fashion photographer” Nigel Barker. Just who will tell the girls like it is while turning their knees to jelly with a single glare?
Let’s look back at all the ways we’ll miss this fashionable trio and then vote on which one you’ll miss the most.
The Deathly Hallows premiered in New York last night and we couldn’t help but sniff a little looking at all the pictures. Each premiere means we’re inching gradually towards the end. A lot of the tertiary characters didn’t show up for the event but our main squeezes did. After wearing a dreamy Oscar de la Renta to the London premiere, Emma Watson chose a Bottega Veneta gown, Giuseppe Zanotti platform peep toe heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry for the NYC leg. We’re not totally feeling the look and the harsh make-up, but more on that in our next post. Not much smiling from Emma at this one. She looks like she’s taking this quite emotionally, and we don’t blame her.
Props to Daniel Radcliffe for turning up in Prada as well!  Completely the trio was Rupert Grint who cleaned up quite nicely in his suit as well. He also looked like he had taken a brush to his hair and what a difference that made! Alan Rickman — possibly one of our favorite actors and the only one who could pull off Severus Snape — looked as cool as cool could be. Pulling up the handsome quotient were Tom Felton and Matt Lewis aka Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom. Growing up has agreed with these two. A couple of celebrities also turned up for the premiere. Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker brought their son, James Wilkie. (Note to SJP: Stop putting your son in twee hats.) America Ferrera brought new husband Ryan Piers Williams. Sarah Hyland showed up looking lovely in an LBD, and our happy WTF of the day was Jay Manuel! All-in-all, a pretty successful premiere.
