Modern Family Stars Tweet Up Some Fun While Stuck In An Elevator

modernfamily_elevator
If I ever had the misfortune to be stuck in an elevator — I’m mildly claustrophobic, so it’s my idea of hell — I’d like to be stuck with these these guys. The Modern Family cast members: Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen. Because they actually spent an hour stuck, you guessed it, in an elevator, all together, at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel where they were headlining the Kids Night Out 2013 fundraiser during the weekend. While just typing this gives me hives, it’s worth mentioning that they were stuck with 15 other people in what is technically, a tin can. They ended up getting late for the show, getting on only at 10 pm, where they were supposed to start by 9 pm. But forget all of that. While I would be screaming for a paper bag to breathe into, the comedic trip ended up rolling with the punches and tweeting some hilarity about the situation. Stonestreet wrote, “I honestly handled being stuck in an elevator for 50min better than I thought. All jessetyler did was pass wind. That’s my mom in blue.” The picture you see above is from Bowen’s twitter account, which explained, “after a quick hour trapped in the service elevator, we were rescued by Duke and the Fire dept. here’s a photo from inside.” Of course, JTF’s post made us crack up the most. See for yourself.  Read more…

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Becomes The Best Oscar Night Photobomber Ever

jessetf_oscars

These photographs made us crack up so incredibly hard! Taken at the fancypants Vanity Fair Oscar Party, it features the equally fancypants couple comprising Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr. They look so statuesque — her in Valentino couture and him, trendy, with his skinny tie — that it is the funniest thing ever that they’re so oblivious to the fact that Jesse Tyler Ferguson is totally stealing their thunder. How is leaping so high? He’s positively airborne. And manic. He gets our vote for best Oscar night photobomb of all time.

“I’m Just So Thrilled I Have Dental”: The 15 Best Quotes From Tonight’s SAG Awards

Tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards were not as tipsy-casual as the Golden Globes nor as formal as the Oscars almost certainly will be, but they were still chock full of funny, touching quotes from everyone from Amy Poehler to Tina Fey to Dick Van Dyke. And while it technically was not “out loud” and therefore does not count as a quote, did everyone see Bryan Cranston‘s adorable daughter mouth “I love you, Dad” while he was onstage? After we finished dying over how cute that was, we rounded up all our favorite bon mots from tonight’s ceremony for your reading pleasure:

Julie Bowen, Aaron Paul, Glenn Close And Other Stars Ham It Up In Our 20 Favorite Post-Emmy Pics

Sofia Vergara, Glenn Close, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Cat Deeley party after the Emmys

We have a feeling that unlike the buttoned up and glamorous stars at the Oscars — who continue quite properly to the Vanity Fair afterparty — the TV actors who attend the Emmys can’t freaking wait until after the telecast is over, so they can let loose and act more like themselves. And for proof, we need look no further than the hilarious photos taken last night. From the presenters’ gifting suite, where Glenn Close killed us with the above bikini cut-out, to the winners step-and-repeat, where Louis C.K. turned his Emmys into action figures, to the various afterparties, stars could not stop hamming it up. We had to be judicious and not make half of this gallery pictures of Julie Bowen having the time of her life, but trust us, the two you’ll see below are perfect representations. And you know how actors and musicians laugh at regular people’s notions that all famous people know each other? They’re lying. They really are all the best of friends. We can just tell.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Twitter Pictures Make Us Wish We Were At The Emmys

Jesse Tyler Ferguson tweets At Emmys

Okay, firstly, I want to be Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s best friend. Secondly, I want to be in a relationship as adorable as Jesse and Justin Mikita‘s. Thirdly … have you seen Jesse’s Twitter account lately? It’s on fyah! It was the best thing about the Emmys, in my opinion! The tweets were hilarious and the WhoSay images were filled with people we love and want to be BFF with along with Jesse. For instance, this one with Lena Dunham read, “Finally. The meeting of the two greatest minds of ALL time.” We agree. They are the two greatest minds of all time. Or this classic one with co-star Eric Stonestreet, saying, “you’re going down.” He’s “Lovers and Foes” with Max Greenfield and likes to give us backstage peeks with jokes like, “Right before ZooeyDeschanel pushed OfficialJLD down the stairs and took the #Emmy.” And he also tweets adorable pictures with his partner, that say, “I DID win! Look at my prize!” Melting yet? Here are the accompanying images to all his twittering. There were a lot more, like the one you see right below, but these are the top five images. Tough job!

The 8 Cutest Couples At The 2012 Emmys

Sometimes the best fashion accessory isn’t a cool bag or awesome sunglasses, but a loving partner! The red carpet for the 2012 Emmy Awards was awash with adorable PDAs from some of the biggest A-listers in television. Breaking Bad star and newly minted Emmy winner Aaron Paul could hardly keep his hands off of his lovely fiance Lauren Parsekian, and Broke Girl Kat Dennings was seen looking deep into the lovey dovey eyes of boyfriend Nick Zano. Power couple Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt looked very much the adoring duo (and now we know what that special twinkle in her eye is all about). Jon’s Mad Men costar Christina Hendricks came in on the arm of husband and 500 Days Of Summer goofball Geoffrey Arend.  Head on down to the gallery below for some awww-inspiring photos from the 62nd annual Primetime Emmys!

Your Mega Peek Into The 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

We all know that the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is almost as big as the Oscar ceremony itself. And just as brights were a major Oscars 2012 trend, it was the same as the party. Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore a juicy, tangerine Antonio Berardi dress while Cameron Diaz went more orange with a Victoria Beckham number. Kate Upton, a pregnant Molly Sims, Salma Hayek, Abbie Cornish and Diane Kruger all wore shades of crimson.

It’s just a straight-up roll call of celebrities here: Elizabeth Olsen in black Christian Dior, Sofia Vergara in a white Robert Cavalli column, Brooklyn Decker in nude, beaded Valentino and Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana. See what we mean? We’re not too sure about  Zoe Saldana in her black, sheer Marios Schwab or January Jones in her Wes Gordon green-and-burgundy confused dress. Or Elizabeth Banks and her green-and-blue feathered Chadwick Bell dress.  Jennifer Lopez wore the same designer as her Oscars dress, but this plunging, sparkling, plum version was even sexier.

SAG Awards: 10 Do’s And Don’ts Of Neutrals And Grays

If anyone but Meryl Streep had shown up for an awards show in which she’s nominated for The Iron Lady in an iron-colored outfit — well, we would have said something meaner than that it’s a silly pun. But maybe she didn’t intend it as such, and she did look elegant as hell in her Vivienne Westwood onstage at the SAG Awards. And she was among many who chose shades of gray and neutral and cream on Sunday night. Zoe Saldana, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter and Glee’s Naya Rivera chose sparkly numbers that grabbed our attention. Others, like Kristen Wiig and Octavia Spencer, didn’t look bad but seemed less vibrant than their usual selves without color to match their personalities. Maybe we’re just cranky after watching too many acceptance speeches. Browse through the gallery and let us know how you feel about this ongoing trend in the comments below.
