While Russell Brand and Katy Perry’s split on Friday put a damper on our celebratory mood over the weekend, we are happy to report that other famous couples are doing their best to renew our faith in romance. Here’s a little round-up of all the happy relationship news that happened over the weekend:
Johnny Weir and his lawyer boyfriend Victor Voronov got married. The figure skater tweeted, “I’m married!” on Saturday morning, and later told Real Housewives of New York vet Jill Zarin that they’d have a wedding this summer.
American Idol finalist James Durbin married his longtime girlfriend, Heidi Lowe, on Saturday in Santa Cruz. Their 2-year-old son, Hunter, was the ring bearer, and 85 guests attended the festivities, People reports.
They all came in droves to watch the The Hangover Part II! And by “they” we mean every type of celebrity. The supermodels showed up—Selita Ebanks and Alessandra Ambrosio. The fashion designer showed up—Calvin Klein. Even figure skater Johnny Weir turned up! The screening was held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, with an after party at The Top of The Standard.
The cast—Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianaki —held court with director, Todd Phillips. They were probably quite pleased with the mixed bag crowd who showed up, including the likes of Zach Braff, James van der Beek, Ciara, Ivanka Trump and Russell Simmons. Is J-Woww the new Pamela Anderson? Not only does she have the right measurements, but she’s apparently taken over Pam’s gig as Richie Rich‘s trash-fashion (trashion?) sidekick. Jenni Farley and Rich paraded for the paparazzi at the Villionaire By Richie Rich show at the Hammerstein Ballrom, part of New York Fashion Week. While her sparkly, sheer dress was certainly riveting, skater Johnny Weir made an even stronger impression, walking down the runway wearing a tattered skirt worthy of a naughty version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. No less flamboyant off the stage, he sported a giant fur coat and leggings that left nothing to the imagination. Get an eyeful in the gallery below.

If you are operating heavy machinery or prone to fainting spells you might want to take a seat, as Olympic skater and diva Johnny Weir has come out of the closet. Finally. In his new memoir Welcome to My World, Weir admits that “In a sexual way, I’m gay,” which sounds like a great way to be it. Apparently Weir knew he was gay since childhood, reminiscing how “Watching Richard Gere in Pretty Woman at the tender age of six was when I had first realized there was something different about me…Kissing seemed like a weird thing to do, but I knew if I was going to do it, it would be with Richard Gere.” That movie made us feel the exact same way!
While he had been feeling pressure from gay advocate groups for a while to publicly announce his orientation, Weir decided to come out now as a way to support the next generation of LGBTQ youth. “With people killing themselves and being scared into the closet, I hope that even just one person can gain strength from my story,” Weir explained. Huge fabulous hats off to Johnny for the announcement, and be sure to check back in tomorrow when we reveal or not rain is wet (we’ll give you a hint: it is).
Now those are some childbearing hips. Kristin Cavallari got wide berth at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards thanks to her Sir Mix-A-Lot-baiting short skirt. Good thing she wasn’t wearing that outfit when feuding with Allie Lutz on The Hills last night—it would have been too easy. Also attending last night’s event were Paula Abdul, Janice Dickinson, Johnny Weir, Carmen Electra, Kat Von D, RuPaul, Snooki and The Situation. See what everyone wore in the gallery below.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards included some style highlights (Kristen Stewart‘s D&G mini, Sandra Bullock‘s mile-high Louboutins, Whitney Port‘s Yigal Azrouël yellow dress), but for every perfect 10, a belly flop lurked within arm’s reach. What was Katy Perry thinking?! Who let Lindsay Lohan out of the house? And would the real Christina Aguilera please stand up?! Here are our Top 10 WTF fashion moments from the star-filled evening.
10. Katy Perry
Offense #1: Katy Perry’s bright blue wig clashes with her bright yellow nails. Add hundreds of shiny rhinestones to the equation and you get something resembling a human sparkler.
Plus Side: She still looks hot!
9. Snowboarder Shaun White
Offense #1: We know the 60s and 70s are in style, but do we really want to see man nipple on our MTV Movie Awards red carpet? Leave the bare-chested vest to the gang members of 1979′s The Warriors.
Offense #2: We respect that Shaun’s hair has become iconic, but it was iconic for Robert Plant too!
Plus Side: We’d like Shaun’s vest if there were a shirt underneath it.

With southern ladies like Dixie Carter sadly passing away, it’s good to see a new generation of stars picking up where gals like her left off on the red carpet of the Kentucky Derby. Wouldn’t it make her proud to know such horse racing fans as Ashlee & Pete, Salt’n'Pepa and whimsical Joey “The Fat One” Fatone have stepped forward to claim her baton. “Don’t worry, Dixie,” they seem to say. “The ghosts of TRL will take it from here.” See more big bonnets and unexpected celebrities (Johnny Weir!) in the gallery below.

Looks like Jon Gosselin isn’t the only Octoparent earning a d-word these days. Page Six rang the “diva” alarm on Kate Gosselin this morning, saying the star wants to be “Queen Bee” on the set of Dancing With The Stars. “Kate doesn’t want anything to do with other contestants…While there’s a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, Kate has set herself apart.” To be fair, Kate’s been on reality TV a long time—it’s only right she finally get to say she’s not there to make friends.
That said, we’re bummed to hear her presence may have inspired Johnny Weir to decline joining this season’s cast. The flamboyant skater already went on record with his disdain for KaGo after a drama-filled charity event last September. “She didn’t look at anybody…Kate Gosselin was playing the diva act,” he told E!, later calling her “a terror.” “I was disappointed to meet her and I was so disappointed she was involved in the show. It was such a waste.” Will bad karma make her an early exit once the season starts next week?
