Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Julianna Margulies Make A Literal Splash At Cosmopolis Premiere

From what we can tell, David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis is not the side-splitting comedy of the summer. And yet, the photos coming out of the photocall and premiere of the film at Cannes make it seem like the fest’s funniest event yet. Maybe that’s due to star Robert Pattinson’s relentless red-carpet face-making. Or due to the fact that it was pouring at the premiere, and the celebrities in attendance, like Julianna Margulies, could do nothing but laugh at how drenched their gorgeous gowns were getting.

Other random celebs mugging for the cameras at the premiere included Cuba Gooding Jr., Bonnie Wright and Kelly Rutherford. Model Natasha Poly showed the most daring amount of skin at the event, but she had a surprising rival in the side-boob game: none other than Kristen Stewart, in a plunging red Reem Acra stunner. She arrived ahead of her boyfriend and was instead on the arm of pal (and her On the Road co-star) Tom Sturridge.

Salma Hayek Heats Up Cannes’ Palme D’or Ceremony

Salma Hayek

Thailand took home its first Palme D’Or ever at Cannes this weekend for Apichatpong Weerasethakul‘s Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, which is sort of like Snakes On A Plane in that the title describes the story and it’s full of wild animals (that may be where the similarities end, though). The avant-garde film doesn’t have an American release date yet, but with Alice In Wonderland‘s Tim Burton leading this year’s Cannes jury, we’re sure it will find its way here eventually. Among the gorgeous celebs attending the ceremony were Salma Hayek, Kate Beckinsale, Kirsten Dunst, Penelope Cruz, and acting winners Javier Bardem and Juliette Binoche. See what they wore in the gallery below.

Chuck Bass And Bond Girl To Play Classic Lovers

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick and Quantum of Solace actress Gemma Arterton are said to be the two who’ll play star-crossed lovers Heathcliff and Cathy in a new movie version of Wuthering Heights. The two Brits beat out a host of other high-profile names — including Sienna Miller, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman — to bag the parts in the Emily Bronte adaptation. The last movie version in 1992 saw Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche in the main roles, and we think these two sexy stars will make the famously electric, tortured romance between the fictional lovers even hotter.
