The Heart Truth Fashion Show: Minka Kelly, Toni Braxton, The Jenners & Co. Storm The Runway

New York Fashion Week kicked off with the always eagerly awaited, celebrity-model filled “The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection” fashion show, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom yesterday. The show was created to raise awareness for women’s heart issues and deatures stars walking the runway in red dresses loaned by top designers. This year, we adored Minka Kelly in a graceful, pleated and draped Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 gown. Kelly Osbourne wore a hot, strapless mermaid fishtail by Zac Posen, while Jamie Chung took on slinky deep cherry sequins from the David Meister Signature collection. Toni Braxton looked sultry in a halter Herve L. Leroux gown, while Gabrielle Douglas looked poised in a Pamella Roland mullet dress. The Jenner family walked the ramp too — Kris, Kendall and Kylie — in bright red Badgley Mischka gowns. We have to say, the girls looks absolutely lovely. Rounding up the ladies is, Roselyn Sanchez who had a blast in Tadashi Shoji as she shimmied down the runway. You can see all the looks in our gallery below. Whose gown is your favorite?

Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey, Kiernan Shipka & More: The 15 Best Dressed At The SAG Awards

The SAG Awards were full of lovely ladies and gents in black and blue who did not in any way remind us of bruises, along with welcome splashes of silver and purple, but what we loved across the board on the 15 outfits we’ve selected below is the way their cuts play up the perfect bodies of their wearers. Amanda Seyfried feared walking in her glorious Zac Posen, and Jennifer Lawrence almost tripped on her Dior as she stepped up to accept Best Female Actor, but we appreciate the sacrifices they made in the name of fashion. Tina Fey continued the winning streak she began at the Golden Globes, and Kiernan Shipka continued the one she’ll probably be on for decades more to come. It was all a pretty good showing for yet another contest for a naked statuette!

Report: Kelly Osbourne Has Been Secretly Engaged To Matthew Mosshart Since Christmas

Kelly Osbourne is getting married! At least according to a report in Us Weekly, that is. And we owe her a long overdue congrats, because apparently she’s been engaged to boyfriend Matthew Mosshart since before Christmas! “Kelly is the happiest she’s ever been,” a source told the magazine today. “Her career is going well, and she’s in a healthy relationship with a wonderful guy.” A summer wedding is planned in Britain, with friends saying that the two are “really excited.” Well let’s hope so!
Kelly met the at Kate Moss’s wedding to Jamie Hince in July of 2011, and they started dating soon after. She credits her vegan chef beau for her recent 60-pound weight loss! “I love Matthew and we love to work out together – we motivate one another,” she said in an interview published in the Daily Mail. “I go on the treadmill every day for half an hour and do two hours of exercise if I have a special event.” There’s no official word yet from their pair’s rep about the plans to wed, and it’s worth noting that Kelly wasn’t rockin’ any kind of new engagement rock on the Golden Globe red carpet last week. But we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Selena Gomez, Nina Dobrev And All Of Young Hollywood Take Over Golden Globes After Parties

Did you check out our exhaustive coverage of the Golden Globes yesterday? We’re hoping you did! We thought we’d give you a tiny break from all the information and wait till you came back refreshed. Because after any awards show, you know there’s going to be a mad after-party. One of the biggest ones that went down was the “ Warner Brothers Instyle Golden Globe Party” which seemed to be the really hot ticket for the night. Because pretty much all of young — and yes, hot — Hollywood showed up in droves. You’ll be able to see all the faces and the gorgeous dresses in our gallery below, of course. Julianne Hough wore a pink Jenny Packham gown which we far preferred to her Golden Globes Monique Lhuillier poufball. Conversely, we prefer Kelly Osbourne‘s Golden Globes Zac Posen gown to the fussy lavender dress (by the same designer) worn to this party. Freida Pinto wore a sequined Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 sheath, while Selena Gomez upped the hardware with a gold Atlier Versace minidress. Her bestie, Vanessa Hudgens also went for metallics wearing a Jenny Packham black sequin, long-sleeved gown with heavily embellished gold shoulders. Ashley Tisdale went in the opposite direction wearing a minimal blush colored Issa column which looked lovely on her. She accessorized with an L.K. Bennett ‘Alexia’ clutch and Jerome C. Rousseau strappy sandals. Nina Dobrev was lady-like in a 50′s inspired icy blue Oscar de la Renta frock. Enjoy the pictures!

Pastel Palettes Are A Big Trend On The Golden Globes Red Carpet

While goth was a major trend at the Golden Globes last night, another major direction that the fashion was inclined towards was the diametrically opposite — pastels. Shimmering nudes, pretty neutrals, and creamy white were all spotted on stars providing a wonderful foil to the ever-prevelant black. Leading this brigade was Amy Adams in a romantic nude Marchesa gown with a tulle fishtail complete with Tiffany & Co. jewelery. Isla Fisher also chose a nude palette but sparkled thanks to beaded embroidery that was sewn all over her love Reem Acra gown. Amanda Seyfried was another highlight in a shell, flowing, lace-panelled Givenchy Couture custom-made gown which had us sold. Megan Fox nailed it, as well, in a blush-colored, strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewelery and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. Bringing in the sexy were, who else, but Jennifer Lopez and Lea Michele. J.Lo worked it like a pro, pouring her curves in a nude Zuhair Murad long-sleeved gown covered in ivory lace overlay. Lea went her regular route by showing off some leg, but still looked quite lovely in a white, halter-necked, textured Elie Saab gown and bag paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Giambattista Valli heels. Heidi Klum also showed off some major stems in a one-shouldered white Alexandre Vauthier gown with gold, embellished trim.
Adding little washes of pastel color were Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie. Kelly chose a mint green, fishtail Zac Posen gown that somehow, ended up working with her lavender hair. She buffed up her outfit with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Judith Leiber bag and Jacob & Co jewels. Nicole, on the other hand, was elegant in an vintage-looking, old-Hollywood inspired, pale blue and white Naeem Khan gown. She even worked in pale blue eyeshadow — how’s that for retro? Check out all our looks compiled in the gallery below and tell us who got the thumbs-up.

Zooey Deschanel, Kelly Osbourne Bring Their Nail Game To The Golden Globes Red Carpet

Like we would expect anything less. Zooey Deschanel started the Golden Globes red carpet off right with an adorable film strip mani. “#GoldenGlobes manicure! Movie camera and film strip. By @redcarpetmen,” the New Girl star gushed on Twitter. Also tweeting the deets about her next level nail game is Kelly Osbourne. “Nice new nails!!!!,” the E! correspondent posted on Twitter. We normally wince at a supersharp nail, but come on. They are golden hearts she’s wearing with a pale green dress. We aren’t made of stone.
Nicole Richie also paired a set of dark gray talons with her ice blue dress, while Julianne Hough topped off her gold-studded gown with a gold-tipped burgundy mani. We’ll be adding more nail looks through the night, so come back and peep the celeb nail game!

Lady Gaga Vs. Sharon Osbourne: Who’s Bullying Whom?

While some of our colleagues might be inclined to call the exchange of open letters between Lady Gaga and Sharon and Kelly Osbourne a “feud,” we prefer to take this in another light: If you read it objectively, it’s actually a fascinating exchange between some rather smart women about the nature of criticism vs. bullying — OK, with a little Mama Bear action for good measure.
Apparently, this all started last year, when Kelly said she’d been receiving negative, threatening comments from Gaga fans about her appearance and weight, with tweets like, “Kelly Osbourne needs to kill herself.” Sharon wrote a private note to Gaga’s manager Vincent Herbert, citing Gaga’s anti-bullying work and suggesting, “One tweet from Gaga can change this whole situation. I’m not asking her to deal with this directly but she if she could tweet something to her fans about being more respectful that may end this,” the talk-show host wrote. She followed it up with another email to him this week, both of which she posted on her Facebook page.
Yesterday, Gaga responded with an open letter to Kelly on her Little Monsters site. “I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path,” she writes. “Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. ‘Appearance’ is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature.” By criticizing celebrities on her show, Gaga argues, she’s setting a bad example for young girls who feel it’s acceptable to criticize others. “[W]e can all do our part in the media to set a standard of respect, compassion, and love. I wish for you to be treated with the kindness and respect that everyone deserves.”

Jared Leto Joins Our List Of The 10 Craziest Celebrity Brows

Jared Leto showed off his newly shaved eyebrows Monday night as he arrived at the 22nd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York City. Thanks, Jared, we weren’t planning on sleeping between now and Christmas, anyhow. The freaky new look is apparently for his role in The Dallas Buyers Club, the same flick that caused Matthew McConaughey to starve himself down to the size of our pinky. Jared himself was recently photographed in some very loud drag for the role. Damn, this movie has gotta be some serious Oscar-bait!
We’ve all heard about actors changing their hairstyles for film roles, but it’s a bit more rare to be told to buzz the brows! But still Leto is by no means the first guy who’s had to do crazy stuff to his eyebrows in the name of Hollywood glory. Head down to the gallery below to see 10 famous faces with some wacked out brows!
