Watch The Cast Of Parenthood Try To Guess Dax Shepard And Kristen Bell’s Baby Name

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed their newborn daughter Lincoln into the world earlier today with one of the most hilarious social media announcements in recent memory. Proud papa and Parenthood star Dax tweeted, “Lincoln Bell Shepard is here. She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!” Our friends over at VH1 News caught up with the cast of Parenthood, including Jason Ritter and Monica Potter, in Los Angeles recently and asked them what they thought the happy couple should name their little one. Did any of them correctly predict Lincoln? Watch the video to find out!

Go For Gold Or Sweet On Silver? Kristen Bell Vs Emily Blunt At The Golden Globes

Kristen Bell, Emily Blunt: 2013 Golden Globes

We love a dose of precious metal especially when it’s done so, so right. We’re talking the colors and not pure metal, though, which is even more interesting. Last night’s Golden Globes brought us the gifts of Kristen Bell and Emily Blunt who wore silver and gold,  respectively, in a manner that invites spontaneous sighs of approval. Special mention has to be given to Kristen who is a couple of months pregnant and has taken awards show maternity dressing to a new high. Her silvery Jenny Packham Spring 2013 gown flowed over her like a dream and that crystal embroidery over the bodice and neckline is ethereal. Similar props have to be given for the makeup and hair. Emily’s embroidered gold Michael Kors gown — hurrah for the cut-outs — also floored us. The touch of ruby through her jewelry, highlighted as she wore her hair up in a bun, is such an unusual choice but it works so well.

While the looked amazo head-on, here’s the back-view. Kristen’s crystal trail adds the extra bit of glamour, while Emily’s cut-outs with the simple body-con silhouette keeps it minimal, yet incredibly sexy. Bravo, ladies!

Keri Russell’s The Americans Makes Us Wish These 5 Other Former Teen Stars Would Turn TV Spies

Keri Russell, Kristen Bell, Katie Holmes, Alexis Bledel, Linda Cardellini, Neve Campbell

Former TV teens we love: Keri Russell, Kristen Bell, Katie Holmes, Alexis Bledel, Linda Cardellini and Neve Campbell

Now that we’ve seen how much potential Keri Russell’s upcoming FX series, The Americans, has — thanks to a trailer posted last week and an eerie scene up on Buzzfeed this morning — we are crossing our fingers that she is part of a trend. With former My So Called Life star Claire Danes busting terrorists on Homeland, and Felicity alum Russell working as a Soviet spy living deeply undercover on this new show, the way has been paved for other former TV teens to make huge comebacks in dramas of their own.

Kristen Bell’s been making a career of quirky romantic comedies, but now that she’s expecting her first child, we can imagine her going back to her Veronica Mars roots and settling down into another sassy detective role. (It doesn’t have to be the long-promised grown-up version of VM, but pretty please, TV gods, can it be?) We got all excited for Alexis Bledel’s small guest stint on Mad Men — could the Gilmore Girl have been testing waters for a bigger part on the small screen? Seeing that Vanity Fair Freaks and Geeks reunion made us eager to see more of Linda Cardellini. And though Neve Campbell and Katie Holmes probably got their fill of soapy angst on Party of Five and Dawson’s Creek, we think they could thrive in good procedural mysteries or the like.

What kinds of TV shows would you pick for these ladies? Flip through photos of them in their memorable roles and today, and then share your ideas in the comments below!

Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard Are Expecting A Baby (Move Over, Sloths!)

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are expecting their first child

Considering how close we came to spontaneously combusting with contagious glee after seeing Kristen Bell react to the sloth surprise Dax Shepard gave her last year, we’re not sure we will survive this impending cuteness: the couple’s rep confirmed to People today that they are expecting their first child in late spring.

“They’re so excited — they’re both ecstatic. They can’t wait to become parents,” a friend reportedly told the magazine. The House of Lies and Parenthood stars have been dating since 2007 and engaged since 2009. They’ve taken the Brangelina pledge on marriage — no wedding until their same-sex friends are also legally able to tie the knot.

In case you’re having trouble picturing what Veronica Mars might have looked like when she found out she was pregnant, we imagine it went something like this:

Ryan Lochte, Jay Leno Prove That Kristen Bell Needs Her Own Talk Show

As much as I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall, it is my strongly biased opinion that no movie Kristen Bell has made to date (well, I haven’t seen Hit and Run yet) will ever be as good as Veronica Mars or her still-squee-inducing sloth home video. But every time the bubbly actress makes an appearance on TV, she steals the show. Case in point: last night’s Tonight Show, in which she absolutely charmed with tales of how she used to get out of traffic tickets and used to have a car named “The Slut,” and then followed that up by sitting next to second guest Ryan Lochte and enhancing his interview. We’ve lovingly poked fun at Lochte’s great interview skills, and if he’d appeared by himself with Jay Leno, things might have gone just the same as they have in every sitdown he’s had since before the Olympics (he pees in the pool, he’s friends with Michael Phelps, he’ll consider the Bachelor but is more excited about Dancing With the Stars). But with Kristen there, everything was fresh and lively again.

After Bell tried on Lochte’s medals — because they matched her dress perfectly — she wasn’t content to sit back and let him deliver the same old answers. He explained why it was OK with him to race twice in the same day with only 27 minutes of rest, Kristen raised her hand to ask, “Twenty-seven minutes of rest as in between the races or 27 minutes of sleep? … Between the races. It’s just as bad. I don’t know why I even asked the question. Both are horrendous options. Could you even catch your breath in that amount of time?”

Ice-T Vs. Rush Limbaugh Joins The List Of Extremely Random Celebrity Beefs

Ice-T feuds with Rush Limbaugh

We feel like celebrity beefs have gotten increasingly random lately. Has anyone else noticed this? We blame Twitter, just like we blame Twitter for the current beef between Ice-T and Rush Limbaugh. Well…okay, we blame Twitter and Rush Limbaugh. “He knew the word ‘tyranny.’ And he knows that tyranny comes from government representatives. Double impressive,” the conservative radio host joked about Ice-T, after the rapper used the word while defending gun ownership. “Rush Limbaugh said he was impressed I knew the word ‘tyranny’… He’s a racist piece of sh–,” Ice-T replied on (where else?) Twitter. Jeez, Rush, why are you ripping on someone who agrees with you? And Ice, why are you listening to anything that Rush Limbaugh has to say? Of course, when it comes to celebrity beef, there’s no reasoning with anyone. If there way, how would you explain all the absurd celebrity beefs that have come before?

25 Pictures Of Beyonce, Willow Smith, Elizabeth Banks And More Embracing The Summer Brights Trend

25 Pictures Of 2012 Summer Brights Trend

If there’s one trend we’ve been spotting taking over red carpets in 2012 alone, it’s been the juicy summer brights look. We’ve been happy to see every shade of orange and yellow seep onto a variety of silhouettes over the year, from the very start of January. The Oscars, the Met Ball, the Golden Globes and the big premieres — hello, The Hunger Games — all had these shades represented by actresses who are not afraid to embrace the bright side. The Met Ball alone really took care of this huge trend with a number of actresses choosing orange like Kristen Bell and Emma Roberts. Solange Knowles and January Jones really took care of the yellow spectrum. Some celebrities have been more courageous than others, wearing brights on numerous occasions. Like, Viola Davis, Nicole Richie and Elizabeth Banks. Each of those lovely ladies is represented in our exhaustive gallery of 25 pictures below. This collection comprises our favorite looks — all worn this year, from January onwards — which are all either orange or yellow, keeping the trend in mind. You’ll also see where exactly they were worn, in case you want to do a little digging on your own. Knock yourselves out on these punchy shades and tell us whose design you liked best!

Red Carpet Report: The 2012 CMT Music Awards Brings Out The Stars

2012 CMT Music Awards Red Carpet

The 2012 CMT Music Awards went down last night at The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and definitely wasn’t all about country music, sartorially speaking! Of course, country superstars were present. Carrie Underwood rocked a Randi Rahm mini cocktail dress covered in silver paillettes. She also wore a pair of hardcore S&M looking Gio Diev heel along with the outfit. Hillary Scott was sexy in a black Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress and David Webb jewelry while Jordin Sparks looked ethereal in a flowing Kevan Hall gown with Jimmy Choo shoes. Sara Evans also went glam in a draped Julian Joyce Made By Mandalay gunmetal sequin dress.

But, as we said, this wasn’t all about the country ladies. Ashley Greene was also at the event in a lovely pale pink Donna Karan atelier dress with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. Denise Richards, Jennie Garth and Hayden Panettiere also posed on the red carpet but the best-dressed of the night definitely went to Kristen Bell. She shut it down in a shimmering gold Reem Acra gown with delicate sheer cap sleeves and a pop of red lipstick. We need to see more of that action on Kristen! Take a look at all the fashion in our gallery below.

The Brights Trend Continues On The Met Gala Red Carpet

Brights, Orange, Yellow Gowns At The Met Gala

We love the brights trend and we love the women who dare to wear the shades even more. The Met Gala had its fair share of examples and some of the stars scored top marks and made it to the best-dressed list. Like Solange Knowles in a sunshine, peplum Rachel Roy gown. Or Emma Roberts who also wore a semi-peplum Escada number, only in a color that comes between orange and yellow. Katherine McPhee was also part of our best-dressed roll call, wearing a stunning Elie Saab tangerine column.

Some celebrities also made it to out fashion-forward list, wearing ensembles that are risky and not cut-and-dry. January Jones was on the list wearing a neon yellow, futuristic looking Versace gown. Taking the time capsule way back, was Kirsten Dunst who wore a pumpkin colored Rodarte number that looked like it was from the ’40′s. Sadly, landing up on our worst-dressed list was Eva Mendes who wore a terrific punchy shade of orange, but the Prada peplum gown itself was downright frumpy on her. Rounding up this brights post are Ginnifer Goodwin and Kristen Bell, both wearing tangerine. Ginnifer wore a lovely cap-sleeved Monique Lhuillier, while Kristen chose a Tommy Hilfiger halter-necked version which she rocked. See for yourselves!
