New Couple Alert: Adam Brody And Leighton Meester Together On The DL

Adam Brody And Leighton Meester Are Dating

You can never secretly date for too long in Hollywood, right? The latest couple who tried to keep their budding relationship on the down-low are Adam Brody and Leighton Meester. We will forever associate Adam with The O.C and Leighton, of course, with Gossip Girl, but they two genetically blessed ones starred together in The Oranges which released in 2011. Blair Waldorf dating Seth Cohen — who woulda thunk it. A source helpfully explains that, “they were always close and friendly” and that they’ve been “hanging out.” The couple have also been travelling together, trying to get away from prying cameras and eyes, we’re sure, and were seen together at the fancy pants Siam Kempinski Hotel in Bangkok last month. The couple that travels together stays together? We hope that’s the case because the more we think about, the more adorable the two seem. They were also busted on Twitter by some bystanders as they caught some exhibitions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art this month. So, is this one going to be officially confirmed or are we going to have to be okay with more sightings? Either way, good luck you two!

Bonnie Wright Is The Latest Star To Chop Her Hair, Check Out 20 Others Who Went Short In 2012

Bonnie Wright chops off her trademark long hair

Harry Potter starlet Bonnie Wright showed up at Jo Malone’s Thoroughly Proper Party in London on Wednesday lacking her long flowing locks. After years of being linked to her character Ginny Weasley with trademark titan tresses, maybe she followed in the footsteps of Emma Watson, who famously cropped her hair as soon as the series ended to get some distance from the franchise. Or she’s just hopping on the short hair band wagon!

It seems like ever A-lister has gotten the urge to hack of the hair this year. Some like Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Evangeline Lilly went super short for film roles, whereas former American Idol singer Kellie Pickler got a buzz to support her friend being treated for cancer. And then there are music mama’s like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys who went short just for the hell of it. Head on down to the gallery below to see 20 lovely ladies who took the hair plunge in 2012!

From Friends‘ Spud-nik To PLL’s Vampy Adam Lambert: TV’s Best Halloween Costumes

Our favorite costumes from the Halloween episodes of Friends, Community, Pretty Little Liars and Glee

Halloween means candy corn, haunted houses, and your dad wearing that musty vampire outfit yet again. But it also means Halloween specials on TV! Throughout the years, the small screen has captured the fun of dressing up for the holidays. It’s a time for our favorite characters to get creative and just a tad inappropriate as they sport costumes from the topical, the slutty, or other clever ideas that perfectly reflect their own personalities. Here’s a list of some of our favorite Halloween costumes from TV over the years that may give you some inspiration of what to do…and what not to do.

Best Mystery Costume – The Slutty Pumpkin (How I Met Your Mother): It was that crisp, autumnal night on Halloween when Ted Mosby thought he met the love of his life…in a costume that has become the show’s famed “Slutty Pumpkin.” Though her face was veiled, this mystery woman became the object of Ted’s harvest-filled fantasies. Many years later, we discovered that the woman was none other than Katie Holmes! Even though the costume doesn’t have much originality, we give them props for mocking the “slutty fill-in-the-blank” outfit.

Fashionistas In Paris: Leighton Meester Vs. Freida Pinto Vs. Hilary Swank

Freida Pinto, Hilary Swank, Leighton Meester at Salvatore Ferragamo

Firstly, can we just say, what is up with Leighton Meester‘s blondness? We know that’s a strange thing to say, because her natural hair color is blonde, but we’re so used to seeing her as a beautiful brunette now. You’re seeing this too, right? Her hair is looking rather strange in the picture on the right? Can’t fault the rest of her though. She was in Paris along with the lovely Freida Pinto and Hilary Swank, but this wasn’t just for any old premiere. The three actresses were invited to sit front row at the Salvatore Ferragamo Cruise Collection 2013 Show at Galerie Denon. Which also isn’t a big deal, you may say? Wrong. This show has made history as the first ramp show to happen at the Louvre, as Ferragamo is currently sponsoring the major exhibition at the museum called “The Virgin and Saint Anne.” That was the last painting ever made by Leonardo da Vinci. So yes — a fashion show inside the Louvre sounds pretty spectacular. The three ladies, of course, all wore Ferragamo. But whose look do you prefer? We’re currently leaning towards Freida’s Fall 2012 RTW dress, but have fallen in love with Hilary’s shoes! And we wouldn’t mind taking Leighton’s textured skirt out for a twirl either.

Leighton Meester Comes Out On Top In Bizarro Lawsuit Against Her Mother

Leighton Meester Wins Lawsuit Against Mother

Next time you think Leighton Meester is just another pretty face, remember that she’s actually a pretty face who’s been quietly and with impressive dignity dealing with her “crazy” mother for years. If you recall, the That’s My Boy actress filed a suit against her mom Constance Meester last July; Constance was allegedly using the $7,500 a month Leighton sent home for her young brother Lex‘s medical fund…to buy herself luxury items “like plastic surgery, Botox, and hair extensions.” That must be some weave if it’s worth ignoring your son’s medical bills, Constance! Must be the finest weave in the entire world!

Meester’s mom allegedly argued in court that her actress daughter “had promised to take care of her,” which we guess somehow translates into having the smooth forehead skin of a wax doll? Luckily the judge on the case ruled that no such agreement existed. According to TMZ, the Gossip Girl actress will not get back the spent funds; instead she “just wanted the judge to make her mother go away.” Why do we have a feeling that won’t be happening any time soon? We were already going to see That’s My Boy; now we’ll want to go just so Leighton can recoup some of her losses!

Say Goodbye To House M.D. With A Look At His 30 Most Surprising Patients (And Associates!)

House M.D. finale airs tonightIt’s a very sad day for television as House M.D. ends its record busting run after an incredible (and sometimes incredibly gross) 8 seasons. We’ve loved this medical rethinking of Sherlock Holmes more than Dr. House loves his Vicodin, but fans everywhere know how it has to end: House must develop lupus. (Just kidding, it’s never lupus!) Although we could (and did) watch the show at any hour of any day, it’s especially good sick-day viewing. No  matter how bad you felt, you were always comforted by the fact that at least you weren’t bleeding out of your eyeballs or whatever horrible affliction was affecting House’s patient.

Aside from Hugh Laurie’s genius performance as the equally genius doctor, the show was bolstered by the fact that you never knew who was going to be wheeled through the ER door at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Every episode brought the potential for an inspired cameo, and the series had many over its 177 episodes. So to say goodbye to the magnificent drama, we’ve assembled a list of the 30 most surprising guest stars to ever appear on House M.D. Join us in saluting the great Mr. Laurie as he hangs up his cane for the very last time and goes to the great detox in the sky.

Gold Fever At The Met Gala: Our Favorite Sparkling Gowns

Gold gowns at the 2012 Met Gala

Is it our fault that we love a good sequin? No, right? Because nothing can make a better statement at an event than an embellished gown done right. Case in point, the Met Gala in New York last night was a gold rush with sparkling gowns everywhere! Whether it was Jessica Pare‘s sleek L’Wren Scott column (paired with Tiffany’s jewels and a Louboutin bag) or Kate Uptons molten metal Michael Kors, we were hooked. Right off the bat, we’re going to have to tell you who our favorite was, though. The honor goes to Jessica Alba who looked like a vintage dream with her hair done up in side-swept Marcel waves, and a gold Grecian, one-shouldered Michael Kors. That’s two winning looks for the designer already. Our second favorite has got to be newly married Carey Mulligan in a rather space-age looking Prada.

Other assorted lovelies in the metallic zone were Cameron Diaz in a minimal Stella McCartney, Scarlett Johansson in a wonderfully feminine, frothy Dolce & Gabbana and Leighton Meester in a delicate Marchesa with sheer hints. Lana del Rey was so dramatic with her dazzling Altuzarra gown and awesome black cape that we have to applaud her. Nina Dobrev hardly has bad days, does she? It’s also impossible to have a bad day when you’ve got a gorgeous face and body and are wearing a custom Donna Karen Atelier gown. Head to the gallery for all the high-octane glamor.

Leighton Meester Gets Angsty, Talks About Her “Crazy” Family In Marie Claire

Leighton Meester might be most well known for having the shiniest hair of all time on Gossip Girl or for that one horrible ear piercing scene in The Roommate (You know the one. It’s terrifying!), but more and more the That’s My Boy star has started opening up about the more…complicated parts of her life experience. “My family has a crazy history,” Meester explains in Marie Claire. “Probably the craziest I’ve heard of.” For starters, both Leighton’s mother Constance and father Doug have served prison time on drug-related charges. “I look back now and I see it in a nice light,” the actress says of her childhood. “It wasn’t uncomplicated. But I played outside. I went to the beach. There were happy, fun times.” Hmmm, considering her mother was accused of making death threats as well as allegedly attempting to steal money from her son’s health care fund last year alone, it sounds like Leighton is being as positive as humanly possible about her past. Maybe even more so!

It’s understandable, then, that Leighton might be a little leery about going the conventional family route. “I’m not sure I ever want to get married,” she muses. “The only time a relationship is good is when you really love them. I don’t want to hang out with some guy I just like.” As Leighton concludes, “You can take what is handed to you and use it as an excuse to mess up. But I’ve always handled what was given to me by life. I consider myself lucky. I was never lied to. And I was loved.” We loved you as Blair, girl. Now we love you even more as an actual person.

Leighton Meester Sues Mom Over Brother’s Medical Money

We know we joke about horrible celebrity parents a lot, but not even Michael Lohan on his worst day can touch the circumstances around Leighton Meester’s lawsuit against her mother, who she accuses of allegedly spending her brother Lex‘s medical fund. The Gossip Girl star was apparently sending $7,500 a month to be used for her brother, who suffers from health problems, and his medical bills. According to the suit, Constance Meester instead used the money on, wait for it,”plastic surgery on her face and stomach, Botox injections for her face, fillers for her hands and hair extensions.” Ain’t no hair extensions in the world beautiful enough to cover up that ugliness underneath. Well maybe there are, but only Beyonce can afford them and of course she wouldn’t need them.

Earlier this year Leighton Meester’s mother was also accused of making death threats against another mom at her son’s elementary school, which we’re sure is #2 on Lex Meester’s list of “Reasons I Can’t Wait Until I’m 18.” As a source told People, “This whole thing’s been really tough on Leighton. Her only concern has always been taking care of her brother. Leighton’s really close with her brother and her dad – her parents are divorced. Leighton’s a sweet girl – she cares about work, friends and family.” Let’s hope Constance doesn’t make the mistake of underestimating her daughter. We’ve seen The Roommate; we know what she’s capable of.

Leighton Meester Sings Live At The Troubadour

Leighton Meester‘s giving her burgeoning music career another boost. It’s been an avenue she’s been trying to explore for a while now. Remember her Somebody to Love video with Robin Thicke? That was followed up with Your Love’s a Drug but unfortunately, both tracks tanked. But the actress can sing, guys. She isn’t half bad. And to prove that she’s a real “artist”, Leighton sang live at The Troubadour in L.A last night.

Watching her in the audience was her father and her Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg. However the gig went, we have to admit Leighton looked adorable. We love the bangs and the boho (but see-through) white skirt she had on. What do you think of Leighton’s musician avatar? Is this another case of a starlet trying to break into the music industry? Is she only getting gigs because she’s a “celebrity” and has contacts? Or does she have genuine talent and can go places?
