Plus, how can fans get a sneak peak of an exclusive Iron Man 3 clip before it airs during the MTV Movie Awards? What does Teen Mom Farrah want in exchange for her “sex tape” with porn star James Deen? All this, plus is there meaning in Michelle Williams‘s new short ‘do?
The Scoop: Is Michelle Williams Devastated By Her Split With Jason Segel?
Have you seen Amanda Bynes‘s new makeover? And how did Iron Man 3′s director change the film’s villain, The Mandarin, from the comics to the screen? This and more in this morning’s The Scoop.
Hand Us Some Tissue: Michelle Williams And Jason Segel Have Reportedly Split
We really, really thought these two were the real deal. Like apple pie and vanilla ice-cream — adorable, wholesome and perfectly matched. So you can imagine our dismay when we read about the reported split between Michelle Williams and Jason Segel. Sources say the break-up happened earlier this month, very quietly. We want to know why! Actually, do we really want to know? It would only make us extremely sad. They had been dating for a year and Jason was quoted as saying lovely things like, “I think we would just very much like to be happy. That’s all I’m going to say about it.” The famously private Michelle even told In Style, “I didn’t realize [boyfriend Jason Segel] was so tall [6’4”]. I thought, Hey, man, you’re cramping my style! I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn’t me and I just gave up.” See … sad. We’re going to shut up now and hope for a reconciliation.

Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz: The Three Witches Zap The Oz Premiere
Refresh your memory about Oz: The Great And Powerful here. Now you see why we were so excited when we saw the trailer? The Sam Raimi directed film is a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz with James Franco starring as Oscar Diggs, a magician from Kansas who is blown away to Oz by a tornado. Theodora, Evanora and Glinda are the witches played by Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams respectively, and they have the most lush, incredible wardrobes in the movie. We were hoping they wouldn’t let us down at the premiere, and they didn’t, luckily. The official world screening was held at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood yesterday and all three ladies stepped up sartorially. Michelle — seen on the left — wore a white Prada dress with black floral embellishments dusted over it, with mile-high slits up the side. Rachel wore a minimal, but bright vermilion Victoria Beckham gown with Jimmy Choos. But it was Mila who really looked exquisite in a taupe Dolce & Gabbana dress with huge ruby dangling earrings by Sutra and silver Christian Louboutin peep-toes. Not witchy in the slightest, but bewitching, yes.

Katniss Everdeen, Clary Fray, Melanie Stryder & More: The 13 Heroines Who’ll Make 2013 Kick Ass

If you take stories like The Hunger Games, The Host and Warm Bodies to heart, you might think we don’t have much to look forward to in the distant post-apocalyptic future. But in the more immediate days ahead, like say, the rest of 2013, there’s a whole lot to be excited for — especially if you like ladies who kick ass, stand up for what they believe in and protect their loved ones at all costs. It’s going to be a great year for heroines in movies, on TV and in books — but not necessarily the easy-to-love/worship kind. Jennifer Lawrence‘s Katniss Everdeen (this year in Catching Fire), The Americans‘ Elizabeth (Keri Russell), Beautiful Creatures‘ Lena (Alice Englert) and The Great Gatsby’s Daisy (Carey Mulligan) are complex women and girls who don’t automatically know what’s right, and sometimes they have to choose saving themselves over saving the world. The Mortal Instruments‘ Clary Fray (Lily Collins), Shadow and Bones‘ Aline, Delirium’s Lena and Warm Bodies‘ Julie (Teresa Palmer) have a little self-discovery to do before they become full-fledged heroines. The Legend Trilogy’s June and The Host’s Wanderer/Melanie (Saoirse Ronan) have to navigate between worlds to figure out whom to fight for. And Oz‘s Glinda (Michelle Williams) and Ender’s Game’s Petra (Hailee Steinfeld) are ladies whose strength is obvious, but whose roles in the bigger picture remains to be seen. As for Chloe Moretz’s Hit Girl, who returns in this summer’s Kick-Ass 2 — she’s always going to be in a category all her own.
Whatever your favorite brand of strong female is, we hope you’re looking forward to seeing them in action as much as we are! Check them out in the gallery below, and plan your year accordingly!

Heath Ledger’s Parents Open Up About His Death, Confirm Michelle Williams Is A Great Human Being

We were reminded of Heath Ledger‘s passing in 2011 when former partner and mother to his child Michelle Williams gave a series of raw interviews about the late Dark Knight actor. Williams later said the whole experience, specifically a particularly personal Dateline interview, left her “devastated.” Honestly, we remember feeling more than a little weird at the time about learning so much about their relationship. Now Heath’s parents are opening up about their son as the fifth anniversary of his death approaches, and their new interview, while extremely revealing, at least confirms what we long suspected: Michelle Williams is a genuinely decent, kind-hearted person.
It’s not like we ever suspected the Blue Valentine star was anything but a sweetheart, but you never know with celebs. In what is allegedly their first interview about their son’s death, Sally and Kim Ledger discuss his passing, their granddaughter Matilda and their relationship with Williams. “It has been an extremely difficult five years, as not a day goes by when we don’t feel the immense loss of Heath,” Heath’s mother Sally told Australia’s New Idea magazine. As painful as their loss is, according to Health’s father Kim, “Our family has the most wonderful relationship with both Matilda and Michelle; we talk frequently and visit as often as we can.” Aaaaaaaaaaaaand we are tearing up. As if we didn’t know Michelle was a class act already.

Possible Dawson’s Creek Reunion On Apartment 23 Inspires This Latest Nostalgia Check-In

If you are a true Dawson’s Creek fan, you may have been walking around lately with a huge grin on your face because … drumroll … Dawson’s Creek is having a reunion! Sort of! TVGuide.com shared the exciting, pee-in-your-pants-worthy news that Busy Philipps will guest-star on Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23‘s second-season premiere. Busy, who played Joey’s roommate and Pacey’s love interest Audrey Liddell on Dawson’s, will play herself alongside her former castmate, James Van Der Beek, who also plays himself on the show. In the season premiere, James will attempt to reunite his Dawson’s co-stars, who, according to Apartment 23‘s creator Nahnatchka Khan, could (hopefully) include Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson and our homegirl, Katie Holmes.
The potential get together of such definitive ’90s TV characters seems quite overdue for those of us who’ve cried, screamed, laughed and awwwed throughout Dawson’s Creek‘s six seasons. But let’s not complain, guys: We gotta take what we can get. This series’ cast certainly impacted us from crushes to heartbreak to the constant love triangle of Joey Potter, Dawson Leery and Pacey Witter, and we cannot wait to see how the actors might interact on Apartment 23. They may be playing themselves rather than their high school alter-egos in this new TV series but we are thrilled to see just how strong those Dawson’s bonds truly are, and if any lingering chemistry between these stars remains.
In our anticipation of this reunion special, we are taking a look at the actors of Dawson’s Creek, where they were then and where they are now.

25 Pictures Of Beyonce, Willow Smith, Elizabeth Banks And More Embracing The Summer Brights Trend

If there’s one trend we’ve been spotting taking over red carpets in 2012 alone, it’s been the juicy summer brights look. We’ve been happy to see every shade of orange and yellow seep onto a variety of silhouettes over the year, from the very start of January. The Oscars, the Met Ball, the Golden Globes and the big premieres — hello, The Hunger Games — all had these shades represented by actresses who are not afraid to embrace the bright side. The Met Ball alone really took care of this huge trend with a number of actresses choosing orange like Kristen Bell and Emma Roberts. Solange Knowles and January Jones really took care of the yellow spectrum. Some celebrities have been more courageous than others, wearing brights on numerous occasions. Like, Viola Davis, Nicole Richie and Elizabeth Banks. Each of those lovely ladies is represented in our exhaustive gallery of 25 pictures below. This collection comprises our favorite looks — all worn this year, from January onwards — which are all either orange or yellow, keeping the trend in mind. You’ll also see where exactly they were worn, in case you want to do a little digging on your own. Knock yourselves out on these punchy shades and tell us whose design you liked best!

The Brand New Trailer For Oz The Great And Powerful Leaves Us Breathless With Joy!
Twilight isn’t the only phenomenon to hit Comic-Con this year! While we were super stoked to see the Breaking Dawn cast at their panel discussion, this little tidbit of news has us beside ourselves with glee! Wizard of Oz fans, please stand up! Did you know that Disney is releasing their version of the classic tale next year, which is being directed by Sam Raimi. They released the first footage from the film yesterday, and the movie is called Oz The Great And Powerful. It’s actually a prequel to the regular Wizard of Oz, and stars James Franco as Oscar Diggs, a magician from Kansas who is carried away to Oz by, you guessed it, a tornado. Then we have the witches — Theodora, Evanora and Glinda — played by Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams respectively, with incredible wardrobes, FYI. They’re a bit disillusioned by Oz, and it’s up to Diggs to find his way through to the truth and realize what, or who, is good and bad. The trailer itself is just magical and gave us chills, segueing from the darkly whimsical, black-and-white world of Kansas to the technicolor world of Oz. “Am I dreaming,” Franco wonders, as he walks through the fantastical realm. “Are you the great man we’ve been waiting for,” floats into the voice-over. Watch the trailer, and ask those questions too.
