"The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection" Fashion Show

New York Fashion Week kicked off with the always eagerly awaited, celebrity-model filled “The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection” fashion show, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom yesterday. The show was created to raise awareness for women’s heart issues and deatures stars walking the runway in red dresses loaned by top designers. This year, we adored Minka Kelly in a graceful, pleated and draped Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 gown. Kelly Osbourne wore a hot, strapless mermaid fishtail by Zac Posen, while Jamie Chung took on slinky deep cherry sequins from the David Meister Signature collection. Toni Braxton looked sultry in a halter Herve L. Leroux gown, while Gabrielle Douglas looked poised in a Pamella Roland mullet dress. The Jenner family walked the ramp too — Kris, Kendall and Kylie — in bright red Badgley Mischka gowns. We have to say, the girls looks absolutely lovely. Rounding up the ladies is, Roselyn Sanchez who had a blast in Tadashi Shoji as she shimmied down the runway. You can see all the looks in our gallery below. Whose gown is your favorite?

2012! The year of The (supposed) Apocalypse. The year of “Call Me Maybe” (which may be related to the Apocalypse, who really knows?). And, finally, the year of a few ill-fated celebrity hookups. Call them flings or fleeting romances or however else you hold on to your faith in true love, from Skrillex and Ellie Goulding to Russell Brand and Ginger Spice, these are the celebs who got together and then quickly broke apart this very year:

The LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala Honoring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick presented by Gucci turned out to be a pretty well-attended, fashion-savvy event this weekend. Teeming with A-listers, since Gucci was headlined, most of the ladies wore the brand. We do have Robert Pattinson in our gallery as well, because he’s Robert Pattinson, and he looked devastating in his sharp Gucci suit. Also wearing Gucci was Amy Adams, who glided in a yellow Spring 2013 strapless column with a train and Amber Valletta who was dramatic in a deep green, ruffled, halter-necked gown. Florence Welch (who also performed at the event) looked stunning wearing deep purple Gucci with a gold Grecian headband that worked like a dream with her red hair and pale skin. Bella Heathcote wore a white frock with paillettes and an embellished neckline, which was similar to Amber Heard‘s only the latter’s was in black and gold. There was even more Gucci thanks to Minka Kelly‘s stark black number, Evan Rachel Wood‘s sexy gold dress and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s leggy, backless emerald gown. Ginnifer Goodwin wore a risque dress from the Fall 2012 collection that featured a bold feathered green skirt and black, sheer panelled blouson. Cameron Diaz‘s body was to die for in a bright yellow mini-dress, while her gal pal Jennifer Aniston brought the va-va-voom in a plunging gown by Tom Ford. Breaking out of the brand was another Jennifer, Jennifer Morrison, who chose a slashed black Reem Acra jumpsuit. Some of the looks worked — Evan, Amy, Amber and then some — and some, we’re not quite sure of, like Cameron and Jennifer M’s. But at least this was a red carpet that had interesting, envelope pushing looks. Check out our gallery to see all the rest.

Is anyone else getting the vibe that Minka Kelly is slowly transforming into the female John Mayer (minus the rambling overshares)? Take, for example, the fact Minka Kelly has allegedly reeled in Chris Evans…yet again. “She did a number on him back then,” a source told Us Magazine about the reuniting couple, who dated briefly in 2007. “He’s still a little insecure, so he’s being cautious.” Of course, Captain America is only the latest of Minka’s conquests. There’s also Wilmer Valderama, Derek Jeter, John Mayer himself. Wait a minute…wow, maybe the ability to date anyone you want is sexually transmitted after all?

Let’s put it another way. Remember how shocked you were when John Mayer broke up with Taylor Swift? Or Katy Perry? Or any number of gorgeous, successful women? Last year, Minka allegedly rejected Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake. Effing. Gyllenhaal. Not that Minka couldn’t date any man on the planet, but you would think that number would definitely include Jake G. As if that wasn’t proof enough, Kelly and Mayer also kind of have the same hair. If we start seeing Minka wearing tragically unflattering hats, we’ll know the transformation is complete…then we’ll steal the hats and burn them, because someone has to do something!

If there’s one trend we’ve been spotting taking over red carpets in 2012 alone, it’s been the juicy summer brights look. We’ve been happy to see every shade of orange and yellow seep onto a variety of silhouettes over the year, from the very start of January. The Oscars, the Met Ball, the Golden Globes and the big premieres — hello, The Hunger Games — all had these shades represented by actresses who are not afraid to embrace the bright side. The Met Ball alone really took care of this huge trend with a number of actresses choosing orange like Kristen Bell and Emma Roberts. Solange Knowles and January Jones really took care of the yellow spectrum. Some celebrities have been more courageous than others, wearing brights on numerous occasions. Minka Kelly Sex Tape Reportedly Being Shopped — At Exactly The Wrong Time For Her

What would Lyla Garrity say about this? The horror! Minka Kelly reportedly stars in a sex tape being shopped around now, according to TMZ. The tape is 30 minutes long and in it, the Friday Night Lights actress appears to be fully aware of the camera. The gossip site says it’s unclear how old Kelly is in the video, but one clue might indicate that she was at least 18 at the time: It includes songs from Brandy’s 1998 album Never Say Never, and Minka turned 18 on June 24 of that year. Then again, the songs could have been added later. Anyway, as hot as we know she is, this is doing terrible things to our image of her as the sweet, church-going cheerleader who tried so hard to reform Tim Riggins on FNL. And coming right off the spectacular failure of Charlie’s Angels, we’re not sure this is the kind of publicity Minka’s going for right now. She’s set to play Jackie Kennedy next (in Lee Daniels’ The Butler), for crying out loud. She’s probably aiming for “smart and sophisticated” more than sexpot at the moment.

Young aspiring starlets of the world, take heed! Even if you think a Kim Kardashian move might help your career right now, you never know if these things will leak at exactly the WRONG moment.

When Minka Kelly walked into the VH1 offices earlier this year, we kinda thought there was a real-life Barbie making a special appearance on Big Morning Buzz Live. But no, it was the actress, who was promoting her work for the Heart Truth campaign, to raise awareness for heart disease. So, better than Barbie.

We’re sorry things didn’t work out for the actress’ short-lived series, Charlie’s Angels, last fall. Maybe we still couldn’t picture sweet Lyla Garrity — the girl who got Tim Riggins to go to church on Friday Night Lights, for heavens sake — as a tough crime fighter. That’s silly, though, because clearly Minka, who turns 32 today, is a grown lady, not a demure cheerleader. We bet she’ll have better luck convincing us she’s first lady material when she plays Jackie Kennedy in Lee Daniels’ The Butler next year. In the meantime, let’s all celebrate her b-day with her 20 hottest looks.

How Do We Feel About Matthew McConaughey And Minka Kelly As JFK And Jackie O?

All right, all right, looks like we’re going to see Matthew McConaughey and Minka Kelly in the White House sooner than we thought! You assumed they would be leaders of the free world at some point too, right? In our opinion that would make more sense than their latest roles, seeing as how Shame director Lee Daniels has cast the Killer Joe actor and Fright Night Lights actress as the famous couple in his sprawling historical drama The Butler. The film, starring Forrest Witaker, follows the life of a White House butler who worked under eight different presidents, including John Cusack as Richard Nixon, a casting choice which seems even crazi…actually, no. That still makes a little more sense than putting Minka in a pill box hat. Or McConaughey in a shirt that isn’t held together with tear-away snaps.

Maybe we’re just biased because the last time we saw these two, McConaughey was stripping down in the Magic Mike trailer and Kelly was, well, getting canceled in Charlie’s Angels. We just have a hard time knowing that the film’s John F. Kennedy once played the bongos shirtless and that Jackie O leveled bad guys with a judo chop…though that would be an amazing take on the Kennedys. On one hand, it’s completely historically inaccurate. On other hand…

Wilmer Valderrama And Ashley Olsen, Please Teach Us How To Get Game

I’ve met Wilmer Valderrama. He actually seemed rather sweet and smart. But I’ve also seen Minka Kelly in person. Those two do not orbit in the same solar system of hotness. And yet, like Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato and Mandy Moore before her, Minka was spotted “kissing and grinding” with the That ’70s Show alum at a club in L.A. over the weekend. Dude must be suuuper charming.

And in other unbelievable couple news, In Touch (the kings of unbelievable couple news) has a story about Johnny Depp visiting Ashley Olsen’s Tribeca apartment for two days back in February. Johnny. Freaking. Depp. Who is 48 and still claiming to be with Vanessa Paradis, despite rumors of their split. Actually, the story says that he was seen leaving a building connected to Ashley’s building on February 27, and then quotes another source saying he arrived there on February 26. But anyway, say we were to believe this story — the 25-year-old actress-turned-fashion-maven also has a pretty nice collection of exes, including The Hangover’s Justin Bartha, Lance Armstrong and Jared Leto.

So what we’re saying is, Ashley and Wilmer, can you please teach us your magical courtship rituals? This might be your ticket to no longer being associated with long-dead sitcom careers. And our ticket to snagging love interests waaay out of our league too.
