Sometimes certain events tend to surprise us because they’re low-flying on the radar, but end up being so highly attended that we have to sit up and take notice. That’s what happened with the Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday at the Book Bindery in Culver City, California. It’s a great cause providing families in need with baby-care products and essentials. A lot of very stylish moms showed up in support. We found Jessica Alba breathtaking in a shell, frothy Valentino Resort 2013 confection with a Roger Vivier clutch and Harry Winston jewels. Nicole Richie picked a similar color scheme opting for a gorgeous 1920’s inspired Lorena Sarbu Fall 2012 nude gown with an Art Decod pattern, with side-swept retro hair. Rachel Zoe also rocked it in a white goddess gown with black piping. Think it was her own design?
Another favourite was Julie Bowen‘s purple sequined Naeem Khan caftan accesorized with a Jimmy Choo tube clutch. Others that looked good, but not great, like the ladies mentioned so far, were Ali Larter (who should have nixed the leopard belt), Molly Sims (too drab in black, as was Rebecca Gayheart) and Busy Philipps whose dress was lovely but her brown clutch and turquoise jewelry ruined it for us. Mindy Kaling did work her Max Mara pale pink crepe gown even though the fitting was a little off! Read more…
Congratulations, Molly Sims! The beautiful supermodel actress gave birth to a baby boy yesterday, making Sims and and her hubby, producer, Scott Stuber first time parents. We don’t have a name just yet, but we do know he weighed in just over 7lbs. The couple got married just last year in September. Molly opened up last month about how nervous she was about giving birth, saying, “We did our first birthing class the other day. I swear to god I thought he was going to faint!” Nerves notwithstanding, they had already prepared the nursery for their son, which she described as, “… kind of bohemian, modern chic. We have made it so cool. I’m so happy. It’s my favorite room!” Now that baby boy’s finally here, a source has said, “They both couldn’t be happier.” Of course they couldn’t! Baby news is like, the best news ever! Now, what’s going to happen is that we’re going to see Molly shrink back into supermodel shape like it’s the easiest thing in the world. Just watch, she’ll be back on red carpets looking as svelte as she did, before getting pregnant. In not more than a month, we may add. Because that’s just how supermodels roll! Mazel Tov, guys! When do we get to see a picture? And when do we get to hear of the name?

We had so much fun with our “Guess the Celeb Rock” game we played with you last week that it had us inspired. It may not be jewelry this week, but it’s still something all of us go ohhh over every time: the baby bump. There’s always a fair amount of pregnant bellies around any given season, and the expecting celebrity mamas always look so great. So here’s the game. We’ve got 10 celebrity mothers lined up in a row in our gallery, but you have to go in sequence. Start with clicking on the first picture and guess away. Hint: two supermodels, two singers, two reality stars and plenty of actresses await. Have fun!

We all know that the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is almost as big as the Oscar ceremony itself. And just as brights were a major Oscars 2012 trend, it was the same as the party. Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore a juicy, tangerine Antonio Berardi dress while Cameron Diaz went more orange with a Victoria Beckham number. Kate Upton, a pregnant Molly Sims, Salma Hayek, Abbie Cornish and Diane Kruger all wore shades of crimson.
It’s just a straight-up roll call of celebrities here: Elizabeth Olsen in black Christian Dior, Sofia Vergara in a white Robert Cavalli column, Brooklyn Decker in nude, beaded Valentino and Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana. See what we mean? We’re not too sure about Zoe Saldana in her black, sheer Marios Schwab or January Jones in her Wes Gordon green-and-burgundy confused dress. Or Elizabeth Banks and her green-and-blue feathered Chadwick Bell dress. Jennifer Lopez wore the same designer as her Oscars dress, but this plunging, sparkling, plum version was even sexier.
Molly Sims is officially off the market, and these hot honeymoon pix make us regret it even more! The model-turned-TV host tied the knot with producer Scott Stuber over the weekend at a ceremony in Napa, California. But now that all of the official stuff is out of the way, the newlyweds can kick back in Hawaii and Molly can show off her Sports Illustrated covergirl body. Check out more in the gallery below!

The bikini parade in Los Cabos, Mexico continues! After spending much of yesterday soaking up the rays in a skimpy two piece, former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model Molly Sims decided she’d switch things up a bit today. No, silly, she didn’t switch to a one-piece (or even a monokini); rather, she wore pink instead of purple. What range of pastel colors will tomorrow bring? We are holding our breath in anticipation!

Celebrities aren’t like the rest of us, clearly. The don’t have to be stuck, teeth chattering, in blizzards. When the weather gets rough, they get going to warmer, more decadent destinations. Of course, you have to have the body to loll about in itsy bikins. But that’s just another one of the gazillion reasons why they’re famous, and we’re just jealous.
While going, enviously, through holiday photographs, we realized that the place to be right now, ringing in the New Year, is Los Cabos in Mexico. Especially if you’re a dude, because sunning themselves there currently, at uber-schmancy digs, are Cindy Crawford, Molly Sims, Bar Refeali and Elisabetta Canalis. And ladies, you know where Elisabetta is, boyfriend George Clooney can’t be far behind…
