Michelle Dockery, Naya Rivera Bring Major Sideboob, Cleavage To SAG Awards

Michelle Dockery and Naya Rivera heat up the SAG Awards

More like the not-so-SAG-gy awards, amiright? The Screen Actors Guild (and AFTRA, for those of you who are all union savvy) Awards are considerably less flashy than the Globes and the Oscars, but that doesn’t mean some actresses were going for dull and demure on the red carpet tonight. Dowton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery and Glee’s Naya Rivera, for instance were flashing a little something extra. Michelle’s Ralph Rucci was spiced up with a sheer side panel that left us wondering how she was defying gravity so nicely. Naya’s Donna Karan Atelier was heavy on the texture detailing, which didn’t distract from the nice bit of cleavage she had on display. So on this important night when actors congratulate each other on their very important work, we ask you this very important question:

Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera, Kat De Luna And Co. Ensure Black Gowns Tank At The ALMA’s

Black Gowns At The ALMA Awards

While our best-dressed at the ALMA Awards list was surprising, the not-so-best dressed list also has some unexpected entries. And what all of them had in common was that all of them messed up wearing, what normally is our favorite shade, black. Nicole Richie has no business being anything but fabulously attired. We get what she was going for in this black, semi-sheer Mathieu Mirano dress with gold accents — haute couture, edgy. Unfortunately, the black and gold texturing on the front of the dress looks like it’s eating her alive. Love the makeup and hair, though! Naya Rivera‘s Dolce & Gabbana pant suit would have been good idea if she has paid attention to the fit. Are we feeling the raccoon eyes too? Not too sure about that. Maybe with different hair. Then there was Christina Aguilera, and we will defend her against anyone who says anything about her weight. Stop hating on her curves. We’re not feeling her styling, that’s all. The peroxide hair with the the purple tips. The caked makeup that looks about two inches thick. The way OTT heels. She would have worked that black Michael Kors gown with the sexy lacy cutouts had she pared back everything else. Kat Deluna, on the other had should have picked a better dress, and a better makeup artist to do her justice. That gown with the ruffled slit does not work. Nor does co-host of the evening, Eva Longoria‘s, who should have stuck with the Monique Lhuillier gown she wore upon arrival. What’s up with those patterned sheer swirly’s on the lower half of the gown? And while we’re at it, what’s up with Roselyn Sanchez‘s crazy bun?  Click through the gallery to find out what we’re talking about.

Glee’s Season 3 Finale: Celebrate Graduation With A Fashion Flashback!

Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Dianna Agron and Lea Michele on Glee

As much as Glee is about singing and tolerance and bullying and domestic violence and young love, it also is about fashion. I mean, in last week’s episode, even Principal Figgins noted the evolution of Tina Cohen-Chang’s wardrobe. And nothing pointed out the characters’ individual fashion sense as much as the character swapping they did in “Props.” That’s why, as we brace ourselves for tonight’s graduation episode, and the summer hiatus to follow, we thought we’d look back at some of our favorite outfits from the season.

In looking through the Fox-provided stills from season three, we noticed a few interesting things: 1) There’s not much of Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) — her character took a backseat for most of the season, so we’ve been deprived of her adorable, early-’60s-inspired dresses. 2) Rachel Berry’s wardrobe has hardly changed through the seasons, though there were a few standout dresses that might show signs she’ll eventually stop dressing like a 12-year-old. 3) We want all of Sugar’s and Quinn’s sweaters. And 4) Figgins was right, Tina has made an amazing fashion transformation, for the better.

Last week, we asked Jenna Ushkowitz what she thinks Tina’s next fashion identity might be. Here’s what she said:

Fox’s Upfront Presentation Brings Out TV’s Top Players: Britney, Lea, Demi, Mila And Co.

Fox Upfront Presentation 2012

Around the same time that the NBC stars were celebrating their new fall lineup, Fox’s Upfront presentation for advertisers was also happening in NYC. Both channels brought in their bigtime stars, but we feel Fox may just have inched ahead. This was also, in part, because of the news we published yesterday that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were officially named as the newest judges on The X Factor.

But they were, by no means, not the only stars who came to the presentation. Fellow The X Factor judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were also there. A ton of the Glee cast showed up as well. Lea Michele led the way in a lovely, delicate Pucci dress with Casadei shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Naya Rivera wore the one mullet dress we’ve ever liked, a Lublu number that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Jenna Ushkowitz wore a summery Rebecca Minkoff design, completing the trio of ladies from the show. Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss represented the show’s dudes. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was also there in a Carven dress and Miu Miu heels, as was her co-star Hannah Simone. And surprise surprise, a casually dressed Mila Kunis came for the event as well. Take a look at all of them, in the gallery below.

SAG Awards: 10 Do’s And Don’ts Of Neutrals And Grays

If anyone but Meryl Streep had shown up for an awards show in which she’s nominated for The Iron Lady in an iron-colored outfit — well, we would have said something meaner than that it’s a silly pun. But maybe she didn’t intend it as such, and she did look elegant as hell in her Vivienne Westwood onstage at the SAG Awards. And she was among many who chose shades of gray and neutral and cream on Sunday night. Zoe Saldana, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter and Glee’s Naya Rivera chose sparkly numbers that grabbed our attention. Others, like Kristen Wiig and Octavia Spencer, didn’t look bad but seemed less vibrant than their usual selves without color to match their personalities. Maybe we’re just cranky after watching too many acceptance speeches. Browse through the gallery and let us know how you feel about this ongoing trend in the comments below.

The Golden Globes Back Story: 20 Of The Sexiest Backs On The Red Carpet

Swooping cowls, cut-outs, drapes, racer-backs, sheer lace work … Golden Globe gowns were as sexy from the back as they were in front this year. Whether it was Lea Michele‘s sheer silver Marchesa to co-star Dianna Agron’s and Evan Rachel Wood’s avian-inspired, red-hot lacy Giles Deacon dress and Gucci Premiere emerald gown, respectively —- the back is officially back. A couple of other favorites include a Glee actress again. Naya Rivera stunned in a silver Vera Wang gown which had a lovely keyhole back. We also truly appreciated the back view of Kathleen Robertson’s Maria Lucia Hohan dress, Stacey Keibler’s stunning Valentino, Kate Beckinsale’s Roberto Cavalli and Heidi Klum’s sexy Calvin Klein. Lea Michele Forgot To Wear Pants To The American Horror Story Premiere

Damn, Glee girl! We weren’t sure if Lea Michele’s micro-mini technically counted as a dress, or if she just forgot to wear pants. But after a little research we discovered that the outfit is sold through ASOS, and it’s actually just meant as a top! We guess she took a page from the Rihanna stylebook. Lea wore the super-short ensemble to the premiere of American Horror Night, the latest project from Glee guru Ryan Murphy. Fellow cast mates Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley and Naya Rivera also strutted their stuff on the red carpet. Check out more in the gallery below!
