Which Is More Amazing: NeNe Leakes’ Alleged Engagement, Or The Conspiracy Theory About It?

Congratulations on what seems to be your engagement, NeNe Leakes! And congrats to all your conspiracy theorists out there, too. This must be a field day for you. “My answer was,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star hinted on Twitter yesterday. “Yes.” She also posted photos of the romantic evening planned by her ex-husband Gregg Leakes. It makes sense that people would assume she was referring to an engagement. The idea that NeNe and Gregg are going to get married specifically to up RHOA ratings and “a spinoff “wedding show” on Bravo,” however? Significantly less sense.

On one hand, claims that NeNe’s engagement is a reality TV stunt is ridiculous. NeNe is far too successful (The New Normal? Glee? Come on, people!) to fake a marriage to a man she does not want to be married to. On the other hand, if her engagement was part of a scheme to achieve world dominance, we have to bow to NeNe’s superior goal-attaining skills. We’ve already given up on our diet and we started that twelve hours ago. To fabricate a relationship to potentially get a reality show would be the ultimate New Year’s resolution. Let’s meet back here next January 2, 2014 and see who was right!

NeNe Leakes Talks Giving Adam Lambert Diva Lessons for VH1′s DIVAS

VH1 Divas host Adam Lambert apparently got some diva lessons from a pretty sweet teacher: Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes! VH1′s own reality queen, Jackie Christie of Basketball Wives LA, caught up with her during the red carpet excitement just before showtime, where NeNe admitted that Adam was the main attraction for her that night. “I am teaching him how to be a diva, so we’ll see that in the opening of the show. I’m like his mom tonight,” she gushed. “So I’ll be cheering for him and hoping that he does a fantastic job.”

But of course, that begs the question, what exactly is a diva? NeNe helpfully offered up her own expert definition. “Fierce and fabulous and a legend in their own field.” But she was quick to clarify that there’s more than one kind. “There are two different types of divas,” she explained. There’s a diva that is a bitch on wheels. And then there’s a diva that is fun and fabulous and outspoken. I feel like I’m the fun fabulous diva.” Jackie was quick to agree! “I think it’s great to be a legend but it’s also cool to be nice.”

In addition to helping Glambert up his sass cred, Nene is apparently getting busy in her private life too. Rumors are swirling that the Real Housewife is getting back with her ex-husband Gregg Leakes. Even after divorcing, NeNe has claimed that the pair are on good terms, and now there are reports they they’re to remarry during the holidays. That’s some serious Liz and Dick business right there! NeNe is staying mum on the subject, but played coy when a fan on Twitter asked if they could expect some Christmas nuptials. “Keep ur ears & eyes open,” she responded back. We’ll see!

Black reinstated itself as the it color at VH1 Divas last night at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. It had been relegated into the shadows thanks to the summer brights trend over the last few months. It was the shade to wear as evident by the evidence on the red carpet and on stage! Stacy Keibler wore it via a Monique Lhullier skintight suit and Jimmy Choo shoes, while Keri Hilson took it on through a Pucci jumpsuit, Christian Louboutin shoes while blinging up with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Demi Lovato wore black with a sweet Topshop dress with lace overlay shoulders while Miley Cyrus not only wore it with lots of metal embellishments on stage, but also as she arrived, in a sexy cut-out Omo by Norma Kamali dress. It’s like those two were at opposite ends of the spectrum with Demi being sugar and Miley being the spice! Ciara was sleek and sexy in a sequined Pamella Roland gown and that’s not all. Jordin Sparks, NeNe Leakes, Amber Riley, Elisha Cuthbert and more wore black to the show making it the biggest trend of the night. NeNe Leakes Thinks Nicki Minaj Lyrics Are Perfect For A Wedding On The New Normal

On last night’s The New Normal, the story revolved around a pretend wedding for elementary-schoolers Shania and Wilbur, who, after three and half weeks of courtship, felt it was time to put a ring on it. Bryan used this opportunity to live out his dreams of a wedding with David, making it a fabulous event that included lamb sliders and a dress made of leaves. Of course, no wedding is complete without a tearjerking speech. Instead, Rocky, played by NeNe Leakes, read the words of Shania’s favorite poet, Nicki Minaj.

“You always told me forget the haters, just get my money, just get my weight up,” quoted NeNe, from Nicki’s 2010 song “Right Thru Me.” You can watch the whole moving recitation in the video above. When the show aired, the Real Housewife tweeted “I live 4 Nikki chile.” Now we can only hope for a cameo of NeNe in the next Nicki Minaj video.

NeNe’s transition from reality star to actress has been quite the seamless one, and on The New Normal, we see her shine bright like the hilarious — and highly quotable — star she was born to be. NeNe Leakes Discusses Whether She’ll Remain On RHOA; We Have So Many Feelings

When we think about whether NeNe Leakes should leave Real Housewives of Atlanta now that she’s on The New Normal, we feel like a parent whose kid wants to go to college 3,000 miles away. On one hand, NeNe has already made “The Leap” that most reality stars dream of making. She’s costarring on Ryan Murphy’s new show, guests on Glee from time to time and, even more importantly, is generally perceived to be vivacious and fun rather than…you know…completely deranged like some other Housewives that come to mind. At this point, NeNe’s career is in no need another glass of white wine to the face. On the other hand…what about us? The woman was made for reality TV! What about our unscripted NeNe needs?

Luckily for us, we won’t have to give up a NeNe-packed RHOA just yet. “I haven’t decided, but I will tell you this: I’m very loyal to Bravo, and I will continue to do both shows for as long as my schedule allows it,” Leakes revealed on Big Morning Buzz Live this morning, when discussing whether this season of Housewives is her last. “When you are a good person, good things happen for you,” she laughed. Well, we’re good people…so good things will happen to us….ERGO NeNe Leakes will stay on RHOA until the sun burns out! Hurray! Oh, or she could get her own daytime talk show. We’d be more than okay with that too.

Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Amy Poehler Do The Peacock Proud At NBC’s Upfront

Television stars at NBC Primetime Preview Upfront

Some major television star power showed up at the NBC Upfront preview party in New York on Monday, representing a fair amount of our favorite shows and new ones we can’t wait to see. One of those would be Parks and Recreation and the shows lead, Amy Poehler looked like a stone cold fox in a Nicole Miller dress, House of Lavande jewelry and an All Saints leather jacket. Other funny ladies, Up All Night co-stars Maya Rudolph and Christina Applegate also represented. Eva Longoria was glam in a deep red Alberta Ferretti dress with Brian Atwood pumps. She probably made sure not to stand right next to Jenny McCarthy, whose sexy fuchsia shift would have clashed horribly next to it!

Other glam ladies included Law & Order: SVU‘s Mariska Hargitay wearing a white Victoria Beckham dress. She happily posed with co-stars Ice-T and Kelli Giddish. Katharine McPhee wore a floral Dolce & Gabbana dress, repp’ing Smash. Jamie-Lynn Sigler looked fine in a red Nonoo jumpsuit and posed with her Guys With Kids producer Jimmy Fallon. That was just the tip of the iceberg at this Upfront, so head on to the gallery for the whole deal.
