Pat O’Brien Fired, Finally

It always amazed us that Pat O’Brien wasn’t fired back when he got caught leaving horny voicemails for that “f*ckin’ hot,” lady in which he attempted to entice her with a hooker, coke and boob licking (listen to his NSFW masterpiece here). For some reason he was allowed back on TV with a rehab stint and a weepy apologize special with Dr. Phil. But so much for second chances! Pat O’Brien has finally been booted from his hosting gig at The Insider, after his email bashing co-host Lara Spencer leaked – just like every other creepy thing he does.

Pat O’Brien Accuses Co-Host Of Making People Want To “Vomit”

Sure, Pat O’Brien thinks his job is giving us the latest in Kelly Ripa‘s hair color, but really what he’s good for is going batsh*t insane. The Insider host was in to Iowa to cover Joe Biden on the campaign trail, and while there he sent this scathing email back to the staffers on his show and Entertainment Tonight:

“Hi, folks, I just spent a couple of days in Iowa – I’m a little bit of a favorite son there – and I spoke with maybe a thousand people and was very hands-on. Even Joe Biden said, ‘You should be running (for president)!’ But what I came away with was, these people can’t afford gas, books, food or schools or movies! …I tried to tell them we care, but they didn’t buy it. They wanted to, but watching Anya and Lara [Spencer] pick out accessories makes the viewers want to vomit. I’ll get killed for this, but I’m actually the one not afraid for my job. I want people to be happy.”

O’Brien was referring to a part of the show where co-host Lara Spencer and her stylist pick out affordable accessories and outfits, which a source says is “a very popular segment.” Pat later said of the email: “I just raged against the machine. #99: Pat O’Brien’s Dirty Voicemails

Poor Pat O’Brien. Car accidents, overdoses, violent standoffs with police — these are more-than-acceptable reasons for a lifelong drug addict to finally seek professional help. But the release of pornographic voice mail messages? That’s awfully hard to glamorize.

The host of TV’s The Insider and long-time sports commentator was once associated with awkward attempts at being hip (remember Diddy‘s “Bad Boy For Life” video?), but thanks to some unfortunate drunk dialing in 2005, Pat will go down in history as the guy who wanted to “go f*cking crazy,” inviting his anonymous crush to join him and “Betsy” for a sex romp. So graphic were the messages that “Get another woman up, hire a hooker. Let’s get crazy, get some coke” is the kid-friendly part.

Pat followed his rehab stint with a Dr. Phil primetime special, but the self-help guru’s advice wasn’t enough to keep him from heading back less than three years later. Though the mockery of his sexploits continues (“I am so f*cking into you. You have to pay attention to Betsy, but let’s have fun!”), Pat’s career hasn’t taken too much of a hit. He’s still hosting The Insider and recently announced plans to marry his girlfriend of five years … Betsy. The couple that goes f*cking crazy together stays together!
