Royal Watch: Kate Middleton Wears Another Fabulous McQueen Gown

We associate Kate Middleton with Alexander McQueen because of her beyond amazo wedding gown. Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, that is. After the wedding, Kate and Jenny Packham have been teaming up a fair amount, and some very memorable outfits have come out of that partnership. But look what we have here. This photograph was taken at the Sun Military Awards held at the Imperial War Museum in London last night. Look at the picture. It’s just Kate, hanging out with her two main men — in the most incredible McQueen strapless black gown and what looks like a hardcore diamond necklace and bracelet. Back to the brand that made her a princess! She is knocking our socks off and y’all know that it’s hard for anyone else to knock these socks off if Prince Harry‘s in the picture.  So this is a very high compliment. For a bonus shot of Kate’s awesome bling, her general hotness, as well as the Prince William and Harry’s suaveness, click after the jump.  Read more…

Prince Willam And Kate Middleton Get Super Stylish On Date Night

OK, so Prince William and Kate Middleton’s idea of date night may differ ever so slightly from ours. Because for the royals, popping out for a fun night à deux not only involves having Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles around, but their choice of venue most likely involves a red carpet. Like last night, when the couple attended a special charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall, which featured a performance by Gary Barlow of Take That. And as usual, the couple looked terrific. While the Duke looked spiffy in a suit, the Duchess looked like a million dollars pounds in a Zara dress and Ralph Lauren jacket. We would spend days on a treadmill if the Angel of Good Legs promised to give us pins like hers. And don’t even get us started on her hair. A mane that shiny should be illegal. Lord, we love these two!

Kate Middleton Goes Grecian, And We Can’t Get Enough

Our girl crush on Kate Middleton is anything but done. Not only do we love her, but we covet her wardrobe, as well. Out of all the fabulous outfits she’s worn officially, as the Duchess (eat your heart out, Fergie), it’s a proven fact by now that Kate and Jenny Packham are a winning combination. The latest gown she’s worn by the designer may be the best match yet. Kate and Prince William hosted a dinner at the Picture Gallery in St James’s Palace for the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal, of which William is patron. She wore a one shouldered, gathered, flowing silver Grecian Jenny Packham dress for the event and it looks stunning on her. Perfect makeup and glossy hair complete the look and if we didn’t think she was the bee’s knees, we’d be throwing darts at her.

Prince Charles Embraces Dracula Ancestry … And We Want William And Kate Vampire Novels

We’ve heard for years now that the British royal family can trace part of its lineage back to 15th century Romanian Prince Vlad the Impaler, a.k.a. Dracula. Now, because it suits his campaign to save the Transylvanian forests, Prince Charles is fully embracing his blood-sucking ancestry.

As a lady of Transylvanian ancestry myself, I’m all for this environmental effort. But I’d also like to start a campaign of my own: Fiction authors of the world, please get to work on some novels riffing on this theme. William and Kate would make gorgeous vampires, no? Maybe Harry discovers he’s a rare hybrid. Diana isn’t actually dead, just in hiding from a slayer. The possibilities are endless.

Jeaniene Frost, author of the Night Huntress novels (go pick up Halfway to the Grave and get hooked immediately), has written one of my favorite versions of Dracula — though he prefers to be called Vlad Tepesh. Excuse me while I go harass her about this idea. (Also, if such a thing already exists, please let us know because we want to read it right now.)

Prince William And Duchess Kate Work It At The BAFTAs In L.A

They came, they saw and they totally didn’t conk. Prince William and Duchess Kate were in L.A for the weekend and amidst their whirl of activities they attended the BAFTA ‘Brits to Watch’ Awards at the Belasco Theatre. Did the Duchess shut it down? Yes, she did. Kate wore an Alexander McQueen gown and Jimmy Choo sandals and clutch and bowled everyone over. Including the celebrities! The royal couple were seen chatting animatedly with the likes of Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner! And each and everyone of them looked completely star struck. Also hilariously, we spotted Nigel Lythgoe lurking behind Prince William as he chatted with Nicole Kidman. Have a look and see if you can spot him in our gallery below!

Duchess Kate Continues Her Dream Fashion Run

Damn! The Duchess is hitting it out of the ball park with her wardrobe choices. We posted about the first slew of Kate Middleton‘s outfits a couple of days ago at the start of her North American tour with her husband, Prince William. The majority of you voted that you loved all three of her outfits. And since we love us some fascinators, we were pretty fascinated with Kate’s whimsical maple leaf hat next! Especially when matched with that cream Reiss Nanette dress.

The next lot of outfits kept up her winning run. The picture on the left is her in Issa London again. The purple dress and maple leaf brooch are both to die for, and she wore them to the end-of-day Canada Day celebrations. In the middle we have a grey Kensington dress by late designer, Catherine Walker, who passed away last year from cancer. Check out the amazing detailing on it! Princess Diana was a huge fan of Walker’s, and Carole Middleton – Kate’s mum – wore the label at the Royal Wedding as well. Kate wore the dress on their third day in Canada which started with a tree plating session at Ottawa’s Rideau Hall. Here’s the weepy part — they planted a tree next to the one William’s parents planted when they visited (it was also his first birthday). The last dress on the right is a lovely Erdem dress again, this time, for a visit to Quebec City. It’s a navy blue, lace overlay navy Jacquenta dress from his pre-fall 2011 collection.

Look at the gallery below for more pictures. We’ve also included some adorable ones of Kate and William dressed up in chef’s coats for a visit to Institut de tourisme et hôtellerie du Quebec in Montreal where they actually took part in a cooking class! As always, we’re going to ask you which of her three outfits you like best.

Duchess Kate Begins Her Fabulous Fashion Tour In Canada

They’re here! Well, by here, we mean Canada but we’re at least on the same continent! Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William (or The Duke of Cambridge) landed yesterday to begin their tour of the country. While everyone’s super excited about their visit, what everyone’s really psyched about is what Kate will wear! And just like Michelle Obama, Kate has her own website that chronicles all her outfits called What Kate Wore. They’re really going to have to be on it, because our lovely Duchess has already had three wardrobe changes in one day.

First up — as you can see from the picture on the left — Kate wore a Manon dress by Roland Mouret for their flight to Canada. She paired it off with a navy jacket by Smythe, Manolo Blahnik Calogera heels and a Mulberry Polly Push Lock bag. Gorgeous! For the official welcoming ceremony to Canda, Kate emerged from the plane wearing the Cecile dress by Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu. It’s the lovely lace overlay in the middle. That’s quite a smart diplomatic move! Then for a barbecue honoring youth volunteers, which you can see on the right, Kate wore a bird print dress by Issa. It’s the same one Kate wore the night before she married William! So far, it’s a big win because we love all three dresses. What you’re favorite look of the three?

The “Spare Heir,” Prince Harry, Is The Sexier Heir!

By now, you’ve probably guessed we’re rabid Prince Harry fans. And we know there are more of you out there. Come out and play with us! And by that we mean join us in drooling over Harry’s incredibly chiseled body. The younger prince pranced about in an undershirt after playing polo at The Sentebale Polo Cup Final at Coworth Park in Berkshire, England on Sunday. He was playing against his brother Prince William, minus the plumed hat, of course. We couldn’t resist showing you the pictures of the ensuing sexiness. Can you blame us?

Apparently, Harry’s been working out on the treadmill at London’s KX gym, so we suggest you find that gym and sign up, pronto. It’s been paying off because look how ripped he is? Nothing like a Harry montage to brighten up your day. If you’re a sister from another mister, then go ahead and check him out in the gallery below.

William And Kate: The Battle Of The Hats

One of the perks about being a part of the Royal Family is that you get to play dress up a lot of the time. They always have some parade this, some function that, and their wardrobes — and their headgear —  have to keep up. A particular English quirk also happens to be the ever present fascinator. The Royal Wedding was a fine example of this fad.

The latest hat-off just happened Prince William and his new bride, Duchess Catherine Middleton at yesterday’s Order of the Garter service. The Queen, Prince William and other members of the Royal Family took part in the annual parade wearing plush blue velvet robes and spectacular (we say this while giggling) black velvet hats with white plumes. But does William pull it off? We think so! His wife, Catherine, wore a stunning Philip Treacy headpiece that complemented her grey dress and coat quite nicely. But who looks better?  Can’t make up your mind about who wins this round? Look at our gallery for separate pictures of the two and then go ahead and vote!

Duchess Kate Looks Gorgeous At First Official Black Tie Event

A little after a month of tying the knot Prince (Duke) William and his Duchess Kate Catherine (neé Middleton) have already been thrown into the official meet-and-greet cycle. First up, the royal couple met the Obamas where Catherine’s outfit was widely publicized and promptly sold out.

Next up was their first official black tie event together, something we were waiting for because we needed to see the Duchess go glam! William and Kate attended a charity dinner yesterday —  the 10th Annual Absolute Return for Kids gala — at Kensington Palace. The 900 guests paid a cool $16,000 to attend the fancy dinner with the royal duo, while Mark Ronson feted them with music! Catherine did not disappoint with the outfit, shimmering in a Jenny Packham gown with lots of Swarovski crystal detailing, with her glossy hair down. Works for us!
