On the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race, we met our 14 new queens, and, frankly, they had a lot to live up to. Last season gave us some of the most beloved contestants the series has ever produced — Bianca Del Rio (ALL HAIL) and Adore Delano. We didn’t get too many instant love affairs like we have in the past — no Adore or Willam walking in and winning us over immediately, but we did get a nice idea of who some of these queens are and what they can do. Tonight, at long last, our beloved RuPaul’s Drag Race returns for a sickening seventh season, and we are gagging on the excitement. As we emotionally prepare to invite 14 new queens into our lives and hearts, let’s look back on the fights that had us gasping, laughing and saying, “…back rolls?” Read more…
What’s up, what’s up? Another week has passed because that’s how time works and now we need to decide who’s having the Best Week Ever! Now, we’re not going to know who is officially having the Best Week Ever until an all new episode of Best Week Ever airs Friday January 17, at 10/9 C. However, why should that stop us from guessing who the winner will be? Check out these exclusive behind-the-scenes clips where the cast lets us know who they are rooting for and then let us know who YOU think is having the Best Week Ever!
Is the world ready for a duet with RuPaul and Honey Boo Boo Child? Well, get ready, because Ru is really trying to make it happen! The fashion icon and host of RuPaul’s Drag Race has made a personal appeal to the pint-size reality-TV sensation while on the red carpet of the 2012 MTV VMAs last week. “I’m doing a duet record and I’m here to ask Honey Boo Boo Child to be my duet partner,” he told E! News. RuPaul is apparently a huge fan of the Toddlers & Tiaras breakout star, whose less colorful name is Alana Thompson. The 6-year-old recently debuted her own spinoff series called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Child, which features the trials and tribulations of her close-knit Georgia-based family.
From what we gather, RuPaul never misses an episode! “She is real, she is lovely, she’s funny,” he gushed. “She doesn’t take herself seriously. The whole family doesn’t take themselves seriously. It’s really just good fun. I love anybody who dances to the beat of a different drummer.” RuPaul admits to identifying with the girl, even admitting that she would totally beat him in a drag fashion walk-off! “Honey Boo Boo is there,” RuPaul said. “She is the queen. She understands what drag is. That’s what pageants are. That’s why pageants are so lovely.” No word on whether the duet will come together, but the resulting cloud of eye shadow and fabulousness would definitely be unforgettable!

The VMAs ended last night with Taylor Swift performing “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” her latest stinging anthem to relationships gone horribly horribly wrong. It’s not news to say that T-Swizzle has gotten some pretty decent mileage (and record sales) from her heartbreak with high profile dudes like John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and god knows how many more. It’s gotta be pretty freaky for a guy to get called out in the form of a hit pop track…but then again, it might be kind of cool. Right? Like being part of an irritatingly catchy piece of history. VH1’s very own Kate Spencer was on the VMA red carpet and asked celebs to weigh in on whether or not they’d like to be the subject of a Taylor Swift breakup song!
Drag Race star RuPaul wasn’t too enthused at the idea, saying he’d rather be in “a Taylor Swift make-up song,” and fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff also wasn’t feeling it. “Too stressful. Seems really stressful. I like that song, but I don’t know if I’d want it to be about me.” Dan Reynolds from Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons seemed downright terrified at the thought! “I think that that’s every man’s biggest nightmare. Especially now,” he said. “She puts people on blast. She seems like a sweet girl but then she goes hard.”
Photos from Logo’s NewNowNext Awards red carpet made our jaws drop open so many times today, we practically dislocated the thing. While host Kelly Osbourne looked all kinds of silver fox fabulous in her approximately 8,000 costume changes, we’d like to give a special shout-out to both Adam Lambert‘s blond streak/fabulous nail game and Eden Wood‘s hot purple number. Our jaws unhinged once when we realized the Toddlers & Tiara star was up way past her bed time, then again when we realized she has achieved a level of fierceness far surpassing our own and she has yet to enter fifth grade. We would cry, but that just makes our jaw even more sore.
We could go into the amazing sight of RuPaul and Josh Hutcherson broing out back stage at the show, which airs this coming Monday, or Neon Hitch‘s Ariel steez or Perez Hilton‘s sick abs (they are not of the human realm!), but we’d rather you check it out yourself. Make sure you aren’t chewing though, because if so, that food is going to all over your keyboard. Because your jaw is going to flop open in amazement. Duh.

Now those are some childbearing hips. Kristin Cavallari got wide berth at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards thanks to her Sir Mix-A-Lot-baiting short skirt. Good thing she wasn’t wearing that outfit when feuding with Allie Lutz on The Hills last night—it would have been too easy. Also attending last night’s event were Paula Abdul, Janice Dickinson, Johnny Weir, Carmen Electra, Kat Von D, RuPaul, Snooki and The Situation. See what everyone wore in the gallery below.

Okay. Low blow, we know. Not to mention we have the opposite opinion. The real question these pictures pose: Who knew Renée Zellweger would make such an excellent drag queen? And yet the New in Town star looked more like a drama queen than the men in drag from a Harvard theater group who honored her for being their Woman of the Year. RuPaul, take note. Even you could learn something from Renée’s confidence and style. [Photos: Splash News Online]
