How is Prince Harry spending his time (and whom is he still spending it with)? Is Selena Gomez now a good girl or a bad girl on Wizards of Waverly Place? Plus American Horror Story spoilers in today’s “While You Were Sleeping”.
Is it the end of the road for Kim Kardashian’s reality TV show career? Of course not, “momager” Kris Jenner would never let that happen, but it sounds like Kim’s baby daddy Kanye West is trying hard to make that a reality. Although he’s relatively tolerant of the famous family’s camera-friendly outlook on life, an insider close to the couple tell Hollywood Life that it’s not the life he wants for his child.
“I know deep down, [Kanye] isn’t trying to pimp out his baby like that,” the source says, creating a truly disturbing image in the process. “He and Kim got way more than enough money to take care of 100 kids if they want to have that many. But he know that when it comes to Kim and her family, especially that mother of hers, it’s all business and that show is how they make their money. So he juggling all this [stuff] in his head right now, but he ain’t all hyped about it yet because [the filming] hasn’t gone down yet.”
The friend goes on to remind us that Yeezy is a dude who does his own thing, regardless of what other people might think. “Kanye is a man who acts on his own! People need to remember that.” This is not exactly news to most of us. Remember the whole Taylor Swift VMAs thing? Or that Katrina telethon? Or…pretty much his entire career?
Politically active celebrities are flocking to the polls in droves today to vote for their 2012 presidential picks, but they’re also taking to twitter to make sure everyone else rocks their right to the big V. While some folks like Donald Trump and Mariah Carey are posting pics of themselves actually doing the deed, others like Eva Longoria and Lady Gaga are simply showing their support for their candidates via tweet. In the weeks leading up to the election we’ve seen some pretty crazy endorsement stunts come out of the Hollywood community. Remember Snoop Dog/Lion’s instagram or Clint Eastwood’s chair? But it seems like today celebrities are leaving the political smashing and bashing behind and just encouraging us all to just get out there and vote it up. So no matter who you’re voting for make sure you get up, get out, and let your voice be heard! But before you hit the polls, take a look at how some of our favorite celebs are spending their Election Day. Find out in the gallery below!

If you are only mildly interested in the Olympics, feel free to skip this post. If you have to restrain yourself from talking to everyone on your subway car about the Serbian men’s volleyball team (humina humina, are we right? Ladies? Gentlemen?), please continue with our blessing and get your 24/7 Olympics fix courtesy of Samuel L. Jackson‘s hilarious, NSFW live-tweeting of the Games. Like, all the games. “Told y’all, ladies weightlifting drama! Lil’ babes, picking up heavy s–!” the Avengers actor gushed. “Dope A– start for the women gymnasts! Feeling’ good about our chances! These “judgement” sports are sketchy…@ best!” So good. While no one is offering up-to-the second opinions like Mr. Jackson (yet), there are a number of other celeb Twitter we’re going to go ahead and ask you to also follow if you are as sincerely obsessed with the Olympics are we are:
Moms! Always ruining a perfectly fine celebrity lap dance! “It got cut because apparently mothers didn’t like Sherrie Christian after that,” Julianne Hough laughed on LIVE! with Kelly about the Tom Cruise lap dance her character gives; it was apparently yanked from Rock of Ages for being extremely racy. “It was a little too hot and steamy and sexy. It will be on the director’s cut, though.” If only our moms were in the test audience! They would have based their opinion totally on the merit of said lap dance. They’re like the Robert Ebert of ’80s hair metal lap dances!
Hough also took her lament to Big Morning Buzz Live this morning. “It was a little disappointing for me on my end,” the Footloose actress sighed about her missing “musical lap dance.” If there’s anything that can cheer her up, however, (besides the knowledge that no one can take that Tom Cruise lap dance away from her), it’s discussing the stripper pole that boyfriend Ryan Seacrest retrieved from the movie set…and installed in her home. “I did get the pole from Ryan,” she explained. “He’s very thoughtful.” Jokes Hough, “I was like, ‘This is for me? Then you dance!'” Oh…all of a sudden now we understand how those moms felt. Can we somehow cut that mental image out of our minds? No? It’s there forever? Shoot.
Around the same time that the NBC stars were celebrating their new fall lineup, Fox’s Upfront presentation for advertisers was also happening in NYC. Both channels brought in their bigtime stars, but we feel Fox may just have inched ahead. This was also, in part, because of the news we published yesterday that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were officially named as the newest judges on The X Factor.
But they were, by no means, not the only stars who came to the presentation. Fellow The X Factor judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were also there. A ton of the Glee cast showed up as well. Lea Michele led the way in a lovely, delicate Pucci dress with Casadei shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Naya Rivera wore the one mullet dress we’ve ever liked, a Lublu number that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Jenna Ushkowitz wore a summery Rebecca Minkoff design, completing the trio of ladies from the show. Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss represented the show’s dudes. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was also there in a Carven dress and Miu Miu heels, as was her co-star Hannah Simone. And surprise surprise, a casually dressed Mila Kunis came for the event as well. Take a look at all of them, in the gallery below.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since Kelly Clarkson shot to fame as the very first winner of American Idol! We met her way back in 2002 as a 20-year-old waitress from Texas, and now she’s a bonafide Grammy-winning superstar. She’s had 10 Top 10 hits, she sang the national anthem at this year’s super bowl, and in December she took her place alongside fellow soulstresses on VH1 DIVAs. So for all that, we’ll agree to forget about From Justin To Kelly…
While other so-called Idols have fizzled (What was the name of that grey-haired dude again? Anyone?), Kelly’s star is still burning bright as ever, with her latest single “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” hitting the number one spot. And she did all of this before her 30th birthday! Yes, the singer turns the big 3-0h today, so to celebrate let’s take a look at ten people who she’s influenced in the last decade. Happy birthday, Kelly! And as you so perfectly put it, our lives would suck without you.

Dick Clark, the pioneering TV host of American Bandstand, passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack. We’ll have a complete obituary of America’s Oldest Teenager over on VH1 Tuner. But here, we’re focusing our attention on the outpouring of remembrances from a not-so-surprisingly wide variety of celebrities on Twitter. The New Year’s Rockin’ Eve host touched a lot of lives. First up, naturally, is this reaction from the man who took the New Year’s reins from him, Ryan Seacrest.
Other broadcasters, from Al Roker to MTV alum Dave Holmes, were also saddened by the news.
