Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey, Kiernan Shipka & More: The 15 Best Dressed At The SAG Awards

Amanda Seyfried, Kiernan Shipka and Tina Fey are among the best dressed at the SAG Awards

The SAG Awards were full of lovely ladies and gents in black and blue who did not in any way remind us of bruises, along with welcome splashes of silver and purple, but what we loved across the board on the 15 outfits we’ve selected below is the way their cuts play up the perfect bodies of their wearers. Amanda Seyfried feared walking in her glorious Zac Posen, and Jennifer Lawrence almost tripped on her Dior as she stepped up to accept Best Female Actor, but we appreciate the sacrifices they made in the name of fashion. Tina Fey continued the winning streak she began at the Golden Globes, and Kiernan Shipka continued the one she’ll probably be on for decades more to come. It was all a pretty good showing for yet another contest for a naked statuette!

Selena Gomez, Nina Dobrev And All Of Young Hollywood Take Over Golden Globes After Parties

Warner Brother Golden Globes Afterparty

Did you check out our exhaustive coverage of the Golden Globes yesterday? We’re hoping you did! We thought we’d give you a tiny break from all the information and wait till you came back refreshed. Because after any awards show, you know there’s going to be a mad after-party. One of the biggest ones that went down was the “ Warner Brothers Instyle Golden Globe Party” which seemed to be the really hot ticket for the night. Because pretty much all of young — and yes, hot — Hollywood showed up in droves. You’ll be able to see all the faces and the gorgeous dresses in our gallery below, of course. Julianne Hough wore a pink Jenny Packham gown which we far preferred to her Golden Globes Monique Lhuillier poufball. Conversely, we prefer Kelly Osbourne‘s Golden Globes Zac Posen gown to the fussy lavender dress (by the same designer) worn to this party. Freida Pinto wore a sequined Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 sheath, while Selena Gomez upped the hardware with a gold Atlier Versace minidress. Her bestie, Vanessa Hudgens also went for metallics wearing a Jenny Packham black sequin, long-sleeved gown with heavily embellished gold shoulders. Ashley Tisdale went in the opposite direction wearing a minimal blush colored Issa column which looked lovely on her. She accessorized with an L.K. Bennett ‘Alexia’ clutch and Jerome C. Rousseau strappy sandals. Nina Dobrev was lady-like in a 50′s inspired icy blue Oscar de la Renta frock. Enjoy the pictures!

Katharine McPhee, Amy Poehler, More Show Dangerous Cleavage At The Golden Globes

Katharine McPhee and Amy Poehler at the Golden Globes
We love that moment when watching the red carpet of the Golden Globes when you can hear a collective gasp from the on-air commentators, Twitter and your next door neighbors. Tonight’s came when Katharine McPhee stepped up to Ryan Seacrest’s interview stage. Dayyyum! The American Idol alum turned Smash star wore a jaw-dropping black Theory gown and probably a LOT of double stick tape to keep her assets from breaking free from a neckline that dipped toward her navel. And she certainly wasn’t the only one showing off the ladies, despite the frigid temperatures.

Globes co-host Amy Poehler clearly enjoyed the attention her cleavage garnered at the Emmys and gave it a repeat performance on the red carpet, this time with a tuxedo jacket. Claire Danes was sporting an equally hot, but slightly more traditional plunging V, courtesy of Versace. Other ladies, like Sarah Hyland, were less about the plunge, and more about the tight corset effect.

So far, Lena Dunham has the best boob coverage of the night, as she repeated her stylist’s advice on how properly to adjust her figure-flattering gown. “My breasts have a tendency to shove things to the right.” Check out the best globes of the night so far and stay tuned as we add more!

From Friends‘ Spud-nik To PLL’s Vampy Adam Lambert: TV’s Best Halloween Costumes

Our favorite costumes from the Halloween episodes of Friends, Community, Pretty Little Liars and Glee

Halloween means candy corn, haunted houses, and your dad wearing that musty vampire outfit yet again. But it also means Halloween specials on TV! Throughout the years, the small screen has captured the fun of dressing up for the holidays. It’s a time for our favorite characters to get creative and just a tad inappropriate as they sport costumes from the topical, the slutty, or other clever ideas that perfectly reflect their own personalities. Here’s a list of some of our favorite Halloween costumes from TV over the years that may give you some inspiration of what to do…and what not to do.

Best Mystery Costume – The Slutty Pumpkin (How I Met Your Mother): It was that crisp, autumnal night on Halloween when Ted Mosby thought he met the love of his life…in a costume that has become the show’s famed “Slutty Pumpkin.” Though her face was veiled, this mystery woman became the object of Ted’s harvest-filled fantasies. Many years later, we discovered that the woman was none other than Katie Holmes! Even though the costume doesn’t have much originality, we give them props for mocking the “slutty fill-in-the-blank” outfit.

Nikki Reed, Lucy Hale, Bella Thorne And More Turn Up For Teen Vogue‘s Young Hollywood Party

2012 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

The 10th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party with Emporio Armani in Beverly Hills was a pretty successful bash last night, judging from the guest-list. Lots of young stars turned up to preen on the red carpet as you can see in our mega gallery below. Nikki Reed and cover girl Victoria Justice stood out from the dresses brigade wearing pants suits. Nikki wore a monochrome Emporio Armani jacket while Victoria chose a red blazer in the same brand with her blank tank and skinny trousers. Sarah Hyland and her Modern Family co-star, Ariel Winter, were lovely in a strapless taupe and black Erin by Erin Fetherstone mini-dress and minimal white Collette Dinnigan frock, respectively. Bella Thorne had her lovely titian hair tumbling down over a black dress and edgy metallic burgundy and silver ankle booties. Lucy Hale looked fresh and so pretty in a printed white and pale Christian Dior Resort 2012 collection dress  while Hailee Steinfeld was working it in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton. They were just the tip of the iceberg as the ladies kept coming: Leslie Mann (in Rodarte), Kiernan Shipka (who is her stylist and where can we find them), Jessica Lowndes, Cody Horn, Claire Holt and a host of others. It’s gallery time! Who is your best-dressed pick? We think Kiernan leads the pack for us in that Opening Ceremony 2012 dress by far.

Kanye, Kim And Ko. Catch The Marchesa Show At Fashion Week, Tyra’s Hair Takes Over

Celebrities At Marchesa Show, Fashion Week

The Marchesa show was always going to be a big draw since it’s such a celebrity favourite. We were hoping for a couple more A-Listers, but hey, Fashion Week’s such a packed schedule that this lot is just fine. Kanye West, check. Kim Kardashian, looking strangely like Big Bird, check! Tyra Banks … check. But hold up. That smizing is really beginning to freak us out. Like … this is something right out of The Exorcist now. That — and her hair. What can we say about her hair? We can’t. We’ll just let you gaze in wonder at the photograph below.

Tyra Banks At Marchesa Show

Yeah. That. It is unreal. It goes beyond volume. And it’s as if she’s smizing right at us! How much more perfect could it get? Others present at the show were a ladylike Stacy Keibler, a very excited Sarah Hyland, a casual chic Rachel Roy, a retro-looking Jenna Dewan and Michelle Trachtenberg who looked like her Gossip Girl character, Georgina Sparks in sunglasses. Check them all out in the gallery below. Werk!

Lucy Liu, Emmy Rossum, Julianne Moore, Sarah Hyland Among 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards 10 Best-Dressed

10 Best-Dressed At 2012 Critics Choice Television Awards

What a pretty, diverse red carpet this was yesterday. The 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards happened at the Beverly Hills Hotel, in L.A. and a lot of different styles and silhouettes were represented through all the fashion present. There was the dramatic, flowing gown courtesy Emmy Rossum‘s metallic Donna Karan number and Neil Lane jewelry. We had the sexy, plunging gown with Busy Phillips‘ Michael Kors black dress. Loved the use of turquoise accents through her Irene Neuwirth necklace and ring, as well. We had romantic, vintage looks with Zooey Deschanel‘s blood orange, full-skirted Oscar de la Renta dress and Alison Brie‘s ’40′s inspired frock, also by de la Renta.

Other best-dressed picks included Sarah Hyland‘s flirty, youthful frock by Collette Dinnigan, and her Modern Family co-star Ariel Winter, who looked just lovely in a white, tiered dress, also by the same designer. Coincidence, much?  Lucy Liu‘s girly pale pink gown by Atelier Versace made quite an impression too. But, the sexiest look of the night, by far, goes to Julianne Moore who worked it in a black-and-white bodycon dress by Jason Wu. Her nude Walter Steiger strappy heels worked beautifully with her outfit as well. Special mention also goes to the very toned Regina King, who also wore blood orange like Zooey, but in a shorter, lacy Romona Keveza version. If your interest is piqued, then get thee to the gallery!

Sarah Hyland Talks To Seventeen About Family, Dating And, Oh Right, Her Secret Kidney Transplant

Most of us know Sarah Hyland as Modern Family‘s perpetually annoyed, ever-so-slightly dim Hayley Dunphy. In real life, however, Sarah is much more than an eye-rolling brat with a heart of gold; she’s the optimistic survivor of an (until recently) secret kidney transplant. “You know that family is always going to be there for you – no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin’ kidney!” Hyland tells the new issue of Seventeen. The actress received the transplant on April 13 after a grappling with a lifelong case of kidney dysplasia. Added Sarah, “But it’s also the families that you create outside of your family. And you really find out what kind of people you’re friends with.” We totally agree with you, girl, but also … score in the dad department! If it had been Phil Dunphy, he’d probably have accidentally dropped his kidneys down the trash compactor. Or traded them in for a llama.

Hyland scored yet another win (besides the awesome dad and organ compatibility), this time in the boyfriend department. “He helps me with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments and all the stuff that I need to do to take care of myself,” Sarah says of actor Matt Prokop, who guest starred as a potential love interest for Hayley on last week’s episode. “Any other 21-year-old guy would not be there, I guarantee it. I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have him be there for me.” Awww! It’s like the end of every episode of Modern Family up in here, just with more invasive surgery.

The 8 Best-Dressed Ladies At The 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards

We get that the Kids’ Choice Awards is a casual event, but this year the red carpet was a bit disappointing. Luckily, a couple of ladies cut the mustard and salvaged the situation. Leading the pack was our favorite Kristen Stewart who picked her favorite — a mini dress. What was unusual was the color. She picked a cobalt blue Stella McCartney with lace overlay with matching pumps. Emma Stone looked adorable and quite sedate in a pinkish-beige Antonio Berardi pleated frock. We were also quite floored by Sarah Hyland‘s flowing red maxi by Myne. That long center-parted haired hair was the perfect choice to go with it.

Selena Gomez‘s Dolce & Gabanna may be a controversial decision here, considering it’s pretty much a bustier and tiny, printed skirt. But fashion is all about selling it, right? And she’s looking so happy and confident in the outfit, that it’s pretty much sold. Just like the always age-appropiate Amandla Stenberg who sparkled in a Tony Ward Couture dress and gold brouges, which we are going to go out and buy ASAP. Wearing the same designer was Kelly Osbourne who looked flirty and adorable in a one-shouldered, flounced black dress and hot pink pumps. It even made her pale lavender hair look good! Karina Smirnoff in a ladylike white lace Ema Savahi and Jacqueline Emerson is an electric blue Alice + Olivia  shift and a crazy good pair of neon lace-up heels round up the list. As always, mosey over to the gallery to have a look!

The Colors Of The Rainbow Beam Over The 2012 Oscars Red Carpet

Think of a color. Think of an obscure shade, or even a nondescript one. It was probably represented on the Oscars 2012 red carpet. Paler, more interesting shades like Sarah Hyland‘s rhubarb colored Alberta Feretti dress or Berenice Bejo‘s lovely mint green gown by Elie Saab. There will definitely be some debates about Penelope Cruz’s iceberg custom Giorgio Armani organza gown which in itself was old-school Hollywood glamor, but the color on her wasn’t the best choice.

The ones we’ve really fallen in love with are Viola Davis‘ and Michelle Williams’ emerald Vera Wang and tangerine Louis Vuitton, respectively. Best dressed all the way. Natalie Portman made us sit up and cheer for her red Dior Haute Couture dress from Rare Vintage, which is a 1954 collection. Emma Stone also never disappoints. She wore one of her favorite red carpet designers, Giambattista Valli, choosing a a stunning raspberry-colored number this time. If you’re in the mood to look at the rest of the rainbow — including Missi Pyle‘s blue Valentina Delfino made from “cruely-free silkworms” — then feel free to flip through our gallery below. Don’t forget to tell us what you think.
