Last time we checked in with Scott Baio, he was 46 and pregnant. But hey, that’s better than being 45 and single, right. And now Scott is 52 and back yet again with a new series on Nite@Nite called See Dad Run! The show centers around Scott’s role as David Hobbs, an actor who struggles to adjust to family life after his successful sitcom ends. The part has got to hit close to home for the actor, who has been a consistant face on television since the late 70s, appearing in a string of hits including Happy Days, Joanie Loves Chachi, Charles In Charge and Diagnosis Murder. And of course, who could forget his role in Arrested Development history as Bob Loblaw!? With all of Scott’s television success, it’s easy to over look the fact that the dude was one hell of a heartthrob back in the day. Luckily, we didn’t! So to celebrate his return to the airwaves, we’ve assembled a few of our favorite hunky looks from Scott over the years.
Be sure to catch See Dad Run when it airs on Nick@Nite this Sunday, October 14, at 8 p.m.!

You may have heard that Scott Baio‘s tweets swing more than a little, well, right. But that doesn’t mean you have to point it out! The Charles In Charge actor went on another freakout when Jezebel included his impolitic joke about how his taxes “feed, house and provide medical for quite a few lazy non working people at my expense” in a “Tweet Beat” feature. Before accusing writer Irin Carman “of sounding like an ignorant racist” for claiming he “hangs himself by his own rope,” Baio cried “Let’s see if web-rag Jezebel.com will post my Twt about schools, service ppl, spc. needs kids and animal abuse? They sound like hypocrites 2 me!” Following some hash-tag madness, Baio’s wife Renee chimed in on her Facebook page with a thoughtful “F— you, Jezebel.com!!! You are a bunch of FAR LEFT Lesbian s—asses!!!!!! No wonder you’re all lesbos because what man in is right mind could put up with all of your c—ness? Scott Baio has more class in his piss than all you all!!!”
With her remarks somehow failing to put out the Twitstorm, Renee later noted she has “close friends of all color, sizes, religions, diff. political views, special needs & with or without animals,” simply saving her homophobic banter for those bashes her family. “The haters are NOT the only people who can exercise their freedom of speech.” Still aggrieved, Renee claims she’ll be sending information about Jezebel’s “one sided” comments section to the “Attorney General’s Office.” That she believes they’ll care is probably the craziest thing we’ve heard yet. Scott Baio is 48 and screaming that fans are trying to destroy him on Twitter. The silliness started when the conservative Baio posted a series of tweets mocking President Barack Obama (“wife calls Obama a ‘s—f—‘ and I believe she’s right,” “someone said the best thing about cash for clunkers is, now most of the Obama stickers are GONE!!!!! YES YES YES!!!!!!!”). One fan who complained, Jamie Harrington, received a direct message from the star (“that’s quite alright as I am VERY VERY rich and semi-retired anyway. Family & Golf is what I live for now my dear”), which she then posted on her blog.
More defensive tweets about liberal haters followed from Baio, and Harrington jokingly asked on her blog for Baio to buy her a MacBook Air if he was indeed rich. Baio, taking this as a threat, went nuclear.
- “I know ur planning 2 try 2 destroy me as I have ALL of the twitter screenshots you wrote about.”
- “I’ve got screenshots/proof you’re trying to hurt me. I WILL SUE U. EXTORT ME U WILL NOT! Plz RT”
- “YOU TOLD @whyinthehell THAT YOU NEEDED A NEW PC AND MAYBE U’D GET ME TO OPEN MY WALLET & WORRIED IF I WOULD SUE IF U BLOGGED”
- “ALSO TALKED 2@whyinthehell ABOUT IDING BAIO, AND BRAGGED ABOUT F’ING WITH ME, BLOGGING, EXTORTION & HURTING MY REP.”
After reminding readers that the Harrington and her friends “started it,” Baio finally let it go, calling out the “racists” who won’t let Rush Limbaugh buy the Rams and promoting his interview with Glenn Beck. “The truth hurts sometimes, But it will set you free. Rockin & Rollin on the Big ol’ Conservative Bus, Roll on!!” If only @spencerpratt would get in on this.
