Sharon Osbourne‘s been throwing some fighting words at Kim Kardashian that are likely to stir up controversy. “[North West] isn’t an accessory — she shouldn’t be wearing ugly couture clothes,” she told Closer magazine. Yup, she just went there. Read more…
Since LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are just beginning the exciting journey of reality television, we thought we’d give them (and other couples out there) a few pointers on how to make your relationship last once America is in your living room.

While some of our colleagues might be inclined to call the exchange of open letters between Lady Gaga and Sharon and Kelly Osbourne a “feud,” we prefer to take this in another light: If you read it objectively, it’s actually a fascinating exchange between some rather smart women about the nature of criticism vs. bullying — OK, with a little Mama Bear action for good measure.
Apparently, this all started last year, when Kelly said she’d been receiving negative, threatening comments from Gaga fans about her appearance and weight, with tweets like, “Kelly Osbourne needs to kill herself.” Sharon wrote a private note to Gaga’s manager Vincent Herbert, citing Gaga’s anti-bullying work and suggesting, “One tweet from Gaga can change this whole situation. I’m not asking her to deal with this directly but she if she could tweet something to her fans about being more respectful that may end this,” the talk-show host wrote. She followed it up with another email to him this week, both of which she posted on her Facebook page.
Yesterday, Gaga responded with an open letter to Kelly on her Little Monsters site. “I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path,” she writes. “Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. ‘Appearance’ is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature.” By criticizing celebrities on her show, Gaga argues, she’s setting a bad example for young girls who feel it’s acceptable to criticize others. “[W]e can all do our part in the media to set a standard of respect, compassion, and love. I wish for you to be treated with the kindness and respect that everyone deserves.”
Who knew reality TV could cause such heartache? Other than anyone who’s seen The Challenge: Battle of the Exes? Earlier today Sharon Osbourne declared that she’s leaving America’s Got Talent, alleging that NBC fired her son Jack Osbourne from a new reality show due to his multiple sclerosis diagnosis. “I just can’t be fake,” Sharon told the New York Post. “It’s discrimination, and it was badly handled.”
Apparently Ozzy’s son was scheduled to appear on the upcoming Stars Earn Stripes, a show in which celebs take on military training exercises. According to Sharon, the show dumped Jack two days before he was set to film…after he publicly discussed his illness. “They can’t make me do something I don’t want to do,” she says of her departure. “All they can do is stop me from being a judge on another network for five years.” Joke’s on you, NBC! In five years, everything on TV will be a reality show. Sharon will be judging who Wants To Be The Vice President Of The United States? in 2020, and laughing all the way to the space bank!
Considering that Fox and NBC networks just had their upfront presentations earlier this week, we had a feeling that CBS wouldn’t be far behind. We were right. The CBS Upfronts Presentation went down in New York yesterday and it seemed that the ladies ruled the roost. Cobie Smulders led the way in a white Rebecca Minkoff “Mistral” dress with cutouts and cheeky red pumps. Apparently, her earrings were designed by Krysten Ritter for JewelMint to benefit Autism Speaks. How I Met Your Mother, FTW! We bet she’s in the best shape of her life after having to fit into that unforgiving catsuit she wore through The Avengers. It was also great to see Lucy Liu, looking impossibly tiny, but fit, in a burgundy Marios Schwab slip.
Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs — the 2 Broke Girls — looked great posing together. We just can’t understand why Kat won’t smile more? She was a knockout in a black dress and nude pumps but wouldn’t stop pouting for some strange reason. Seriously, every photograph we saw didn’t have a hint of a grin in it. Luckily, her co-star Beth, made up for her in the sunshine department, while wearing a lovely royal blue sheath. To see who else attended, you’re going to have to click through our gallery, but we promise you … it’ll be worth it.

We’re not even sure whether we should be helping this story to spread, for fear it may cause copycats: At an event honoring CNN host Piers Morgan in Los Angeles on Friday night (as part of BritWeek), Morgan shared the story of how his former fellow America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne once pranked him, according to the New York Daily News. While traveling on a private plane with Osbourne, AGT judge Howie Mandel and host Nick Cannon, Morgan said he woke up to find Osbourne’s naked breasts dangling in his face. He called it “a scene from Dante’s Inferno” and the “world’s worst nightmare.” That’s hardly fair to Osbourne, who has admitted to paying good money for those nightmares!
OK, we kind of love this story — it’s proof that even though Sharon’s gone from planning Ozzfest with her metal god husband to co-hosting The Talk to entertain housewives, she hasn’t lost her wild side. Also, it makes us aware that TV personalities on private airplanes behave just like we did on the bus during high school field trips.
The Golden Globes red carpet looks from this evening’s ceremony seemed to fall into two distinct categories: delightfully lovely, and highly, highly questionable. Is Jessica Biel actually wearing an old ill-fitting wedding dress? Was there no other, better way to get the message across to Justin? Was Zooey Deschanel‘s gown literally made out of Astroturf? How did Tilda Swinton get so insane-pantsuit fabulous? Check out the Golden Globes 20 Most Questionable Looks and let us know which look had you scratching your head the most.

It’s always nice to hear about long-married men trying to keep the romance alive. Judging from her interview with Perez Hilton, Sharon Osbourne has no reason to feel that Ozzy takes her companionship for granted. “He’s texting [from Europe],” she explained. “So we’re texting each other all the time. I got a text from Ozzy and I’m like, ‘Jesus, somebody’s stolen his phone.’ Because I thought somebody found his phone and they were texting me dirty messages. And Silvana my assistant goes, ‘Oh my god, Ozzy’s just sent you this really dirty text.’ And I’m like, ‘Well it’s not him, somebody must have stolen his phone, he cant text.’ But it was him.”
While we’re glad to hear that no one stole Ozzy’s phone (we wouldn’t be shocked if he tends to leave it places), did he know that an assistant named Silvana would be screening messages for his missus? Hopefully Ozzy wasn’t too embarrassed…and hopefully Silvana wasn’t too disturbed by what she read.
