Even before Heath Ledger‘s tragic death last year, Michelle Williams had shown herself to be an impressively classy, stunning and intelligent woman – and by not selling out her grief since his untimely passing, we girl-crushed on her even more. Now she’s gracing the front cover of Vogue looking gorgeous and has spoken about how she dealt with the pain of losing her daughter Matilda’s father.
“After the first year, the pain is less intense – it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning. But every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at her,” she says.
Michelle also opens up about finding a new relationship after Heath – she dated director Spike Jonze last year. “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.” We hope that nearly two years on from Heath’s death, this cool lady finally finds some peace and her own happy ending.
