Nothing demonstrates the highs and lows of post-sitcom fame like these two stories from the weekend: Ashton Kutcher has signed on to play Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic (we totally called it, btw), and Lisa Robin Kelly was arrested for domestic violence. You’re forgiven if you don’t remember Kelly — she played Eric’s hot older sister Laurie, who once dated Kutcher’s Kelso, on That ’70s Show for four seasons. (She left the show amid rumors of drug problems, returned to the show for a few eps in season five and then was replaced by Christina Moore in season six.) Actually, the popular Fox sitcom, which is on every day and night in syndication, is one of those rare shows that was neither a curse nor a surefire launching pad for its stars. We thought we’d look back on how its stars faired after leaving the Formans’ basement behind for good, and scored them on a scale of 1 to 5 Day-Glo flowers.

Usually when a movie’s been on the shelf for over three years, the stars usually don’t want anything to do with it once it finally comes out—don’t mention Case 39 to Renee Zellweger or Bradley Cooper. So it’s hopefully a sign of relative quality that Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Michelle Trachtenberg and Dan Fogler all showed up for the premiere of Take Me Home Tonight, which they filmed all the way back in 2007. Sure, Faris met husband Chris Pratt on the set, but again…that didn’t mean much to Renee and Brad.
Also impressive is how many ’80s figures showed up to celebrate the film celebrating their decade of stardom: Deborah Gibson, Anthony Michael Hall, Ralph Macchio and Tawny Kitaen were just a few of the icons on hand, with future nostalgia marketers like Lance Bass and 50 Cent (wearing a velvet suit jacket!) on hand to take notes. Celebrity Rehab vets Leif Garrett and Rachel Uchitel showed up together as well—hope the on-screen coke use that kept the film off the market for so long wasn’t distracting for them.

Smart move, Vanessa Minnillo! The unemployed TV host has rebounded from her relationship with beefy Nick Lachey – who recently solidified his D-Lister status by appearing on One Tree Hill - with adorkable actor Topher Grace. The pair connected at a party at Seth MacFarlane‘s house this weekend, and apparently got close quickly. Spies on the scene report that flirtatious chatting soon escalated into a full-blown make out session on the dance floor – to “ABC” by the Jackson Five. A fitting tribute to the recently passed King of Pop, for sure.
The pair apparently left the bash at around 1:30 AM – together. We think Topher’s a smart upgrade for the newly single Vanessa – he’s cute and he can probably help her get a new acting gig! [Photos: GettyImages]
