Sometimes bad fashion happens to good people. We’re love all the folks who turned up for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, don’t get us wrong. Too-beautiful-to-be-true couple Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper have maybe possibly split up once again, according to Page Six.
“Zoe had planned to spend the holidays with Bradley and his family in Europe,” a source told the paper. “They all were going to Paris, but things didn’t work out between them. Zoe spent New Year’s Eve with friends in Miami.”
We’re not exactly heartbroken over this split, sorry to say. It’s just that we’d seen the actors — who hooked up on the set of their movie The Words, broke up in March and then reunited recently — together so seldom, most of the photos we used to make the below gallery of their relationship included other people too. But this recent development makes us worried about one thing: Will it mean that we won’t get to see Saldana’s fashion risk-taking on the red carpet this awards season, as Bradley celebrates the many nods he’s received for Silver Linings Playbook? Darn, kids. Could you just please reunite until March?

Okay, so Daniel Craig picked Rihanna over Beyonce to portray a future Bond girl in an interview because Riri is “dirtier.” First of all, duh. Second of all, Bey has probably already learned her lesson from acting across from Mr. Mike Myers in Goldmember. Zoe Saldana may be in over her head with the lead role as Nina Simone in the biopic, Nina. The casting of Zoe was immediately met with side-eyes and constructive criticism. Cynthia Mort, director and writer of the film, was called out by Nina’s daughter for not consulting her or the family to make sure Nina’s legacy was depicted accurately. We know, we know. Zoe Saldana is almost always on every best-dressed list so her inclusion in our top five at the ALMA Awards, held in Pasadena, California yesterday, is no surprise. This dusty rose Gucci Resort 2013 gown is ace on her, even though we can see most of her sternum. The color, the silhouette and the Grecian drapes are perfect on her. Brian Atwood shoes and Irene Neuwirth jewelery complete the story. And here’s where it gets unexpected. Also going the Grecian route, was Dania Ramirez who wore an emerald strappier version that was flattering, romantic and sexy at the same time. And completing the Grecian triad, was Bella Thorne who wore a scarlet, strapless Bibhu Mohapatra dress with Swarovski jewelry. Absolutely lovely, and we love the slightly ruffled, asymmetrical hem.
Then there was Madeleine Stowe who knocked it clean out of the ballpark in a striking black sequined column with a beautiful cuff and a slicked-back ponytail. How is this woman 54-years old? Rounding up the list was a very quirky but retro-gorgeous Christian Serratos whose optical illusion monochromatic dress nailed it.
