Then financial mismanagement and legal troubles ended up paralyzing them. Despondent, guitarist and singer, Pete Ham took his own life in 1975. After eight more years of bad luck, lawsuits and acrimony, his best friend, bassist Tom Evans did the same. A cautionary tale about the music business and dreams realized and then dashed.
