NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE. OFFER VOID IN HAWAII, ALASKA AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS PROMOTION SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ONLY ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW.
PROMOTION PERIOD: VH1's "Stylin' Like a Rock Star" Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") commences at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on June 17, 2008 and ends at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on July 22, 2008 (the "Promotion Period"). All entries must be received by 12:00 p.m. (ET) on July 22, 2008.
TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes will be posted on rock.vh1.com (the "Web Site"), a website owned and controlled by MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. ("MTVN"), starting at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on June 17, 2008 and ending at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on July 22, 2008.

Online Method of Entry: Participants may enter into the Sweepstakes by visiting the Web Site completing all required fields on the online entry form, submitting such entry form as directed, and electronically acknowledging and agreeing to the terms of MTVN's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Wireless Method of Entry: Participants may also enter into the Sweepstakes by using a mobile point of entry by texting the word "star" to 44686 during the Promotion Period. (NOTE: Participants using their wireless device will be charged for all text entries that originate from their wireless device in accordance with the terms of their Rate Plan with their respective wireless carriers. MTVN, Viacom International, Inc. and Garnier Fructis are not responsible for charges participant may incur as a result of wireless phone transmissions. Not all wireless phones carry the service necessary to participate. Before entering, participant should check with their local wireless provider for details on service availability and possible charges.)

Entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules shall be collectively referred to hereinafter as the "Eligible Entries". Limit one (1) entry per person per day of the Promotion Period regardless of the method of entry. If a participant uses multiple e-mail addresses and/or multiple mobile telephones to submit more than one (1) entry for a given day, only the first entry for that day will qualify as an Eligible Entry. Incomplete or inaccurate entries are void. There will be one (1) grand prize winner (the "Grand Prize Winner") selected from all Eligible Entries received.

By entering, participants acknowledge compliance with each provision of these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Neither MTVN, Garnier Fructis ("Garnier"), nor any of its or their respective agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries, respective directors, officers, employees and agents are responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating, uploading or downloading materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of MTVN or Garnier which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes or for any reason MTVN deems it necessary, MTVN reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posed on rock.vh1.com. Entries that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event of a dispute over who submitted the winning entry, the holder of the winning email account or mobile telephone will be declared the winner. An "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a telephone number, pager number or email address by a telephone company, wireless service provider, Internet access provider, Internet service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational, government, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning telephone numbers, pager numbers, wireless phone numbers, email addresses, for the telephone exchange associated with the submitted telephone or pager number or the domain associated with the submitted telephone, pager number or email address, as applicable. All entries become the property of MTVN.

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States (except as set forth below) who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry. Potential Grand Prize Winner's one (1)guest similarly must be a legal resident of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States and must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of prize fulfillment. Any potential Grand Prize Winner is subject to proving eligibility, including verification of social security number and is further subject to possessing a valid, government-issued photographic identification at the time of prize fulfillment. If any potential Grand Prize Winner cannot furnish verifiable and valid proof of age within forty-eight (48) hours after being notified of winning, an alternate winner may be chosen from among all remaining Eligible Entries received, in MTVN's sole discretion. Sweepstakes is not open to employees (or to their immediate families) of MTVN, Viacom International Inc. ("Viacom"), Garnier (MTVN, Viacom and Garnier collectively the "Sponsors") or any of their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies and as well as any person who has won an MTVN national contest or sweepstakes in the twelve (12)-month period preceding entry into this Sweepstakes. PRIZING: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) of the following prizing packages:

OPTION #1:

Two (2) tickets to VH1 Rock Honors 2009 (approximate retail value $500.00).
Roundtrip airfare for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest to the hosting city of the VH1 Rock Honors 2009 (hosting city to be determined at a later date at the sole discretion of MTVN). MTVN reserves the right to substitute air transportation with ground transportation if Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest reside within 150 miles of hosting city (approximate retail value $1,000.00).
Two (2) night standard hotel accommodations in the hosting city of the VH1 Rock Honors 2009, for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only) (approximate retail value $700.00).
An opportunity for Grand Prize Winner to walk the red carpet at VH1 Rock Honors 2009 (subject to change at MTVN's sole discretion).

Roundtrip airfare for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest to Sarasota, FL. MTVN reserves the right to substitute air transportation with ground transportation if Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest resides within 150 miles of Sarasota, FL. (approximate retail value $1,000.00).
One (1) Gift Basket of a one (1) year supply of Garnier Fructis hair products (approximate retail value $100.00)
One (1) session with a Garnier Fructis Hair Stylist for Grand Prize Winner (or Grand Prize Winner can select a stylist at Garnier Fructis' expense) (approximate retail value $250.00).

THE APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF THE (OPTION #2) GRAND PRIZE IS $3,350.00

The Cash Prize Alternative shall consist of $1,500.00 cash. The Cash Prize Alternative may be chosen by Grand Prize Winner in lieu of the original VH1's "Stylin' Like A Rock Star" Sweepstake's Grand Prize. In no way can the grand prize and cash alternative be combined.

The total approximate retail value of the Cash Prize Alternative is $1,500.00

The tentative date for all prize fulfillment is July 1, 2009 and this date is subject to change at MTVN's sole discretion. The actual retail value of this Sweepstakes depends on current market conditions at time of prize fulfillment. MTVN reserves the right to without any prior notice and at any time replace, any or all prizes with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value. Some restrictions may apply. Any expenses which are not expressly set forth in these Official Rules are Grand Prize Winner's sole responsibility.
The odds of winning any prize in the Sweepstakes will be determined by the total number of applicable Eligible Entries received.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by each provision of these Official Rules and by the decisions of MTVN which are final, binding and non-appealable in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
SELECTION/NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen at random, from among all of the Eligible Entries received by MTVN on or around August 8, 2008. MTVN will make three (3) phone and/or email attempts to reach the potential Grand Prize Winner within three (3) business days following potential Grand Prize Winner selection. Voicemail and/or email messages will be left and the potential Grand Prize Winner must call back within two-three (2-3) business days of the last voicemail or email message that was left. If potential winner is unreachable after such attempts or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, or if his/her prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining Eligible Entries received.
The specifics of all elements of any prize in the Sweepstakes shall be solely determined by MTVN. Some restrictions may apply. No substitution, transfer of any prize (or any part of a prize package) permitted, however, MTVN reserves the right to, without any prior notice and at any time, replace any and all prizes with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value. Arrangements for the fulfillment of prizes will be made by MTVN. Return of any prize as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of alternate winner. In the event that a potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest is unable to travel on such dates as determined by MTVN, then all rights of such potential Grand Prize Winner to claim, receive and use the Grand Prize will be terminated immediately, and an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner may be selected instead from among all of the remaining Eligible Entries received. The Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary and required travel documents (e.g. government issued IDs, passports, etc.). All airline tickets issued in conjunction with the Grand Prize are ineligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used. No change or extension or substitution of trip dates is permitted once trip dates have been finalized and approved by MTVN. All airline tickets are non-endorsable, non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash. All meals, gratuities, phone calls, and any and all other travel and incidental expenses not specifically mentioned above as being included within the Grand Prize are excluded from the Grand Prize and are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest.
As a prerequisite for receiving and using the Grand Prize, the potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest must sign (a) an affidavit of eligibility and release of MTVN, Viacom, Garnier, and any other sponsors from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this promotion or the use or acceptance of the prize or any portion thereof to be eligible for the prizes; and (b) where permitted, a promotional release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation; entry into this Sweepstakes constitutes potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her one (1) guest's agreement to sign such releases. The potential Grand Prize Winner must also complete, and require his/her one (1) guest to complete, all legal documents and return them to MTVN within three (3) working days after receipt of such documents. Noncompliance will result in disqualification of the potential Grand Prize Winner and an alternate winner, if necessary and in MTVN's sole discretion, may be selected from the remaining Eligible Entries received. The receipt by any winner of any of the prize components of this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state and local rules and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT MTVN'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF VH1'S STYLIN' LIKE A ROCKSTAR SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
The value of the prize(s) may be taxable as income. Upon receipt of any prize, the Grand Prize Winner is required to comply with and is solely responsible for any and all applicable federal, state and local tax that becomes due with respect to the prize(s).
All interpretations by MTVN of these Official Rules, and all decisions by MTVN under and in relation to these Official Rules, are final, binding and non-appealable in all respects. MTVN reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or the Web Site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MTVN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THE NEW YORK COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSY REGARDING THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK SHALL GOVERN THE SWEEPSTAKES. EACH PARTICIPANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS.
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: MTVN's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision By participating in this promotion, participant hereby agrees irrevocably and in perpetuity to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with Rules and Laws, and that Sweepstakes Sponsors shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with: participation in this Sweepstakes: human error; incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information; acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of the prize awarded herein; traveling to, preparing for or participating in any prize related activity; any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, internet service provider; interruption or inability to access Sweepstakes or any Web Site or online service via the internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems; any damage to participants (or any third person's) computer, mobile telephone and/or any lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruptions, defects or any other errors or malfunctions, even if caused by the negligence of the Sponsors. Participants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsors from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Sweepstakes, to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Sponsors, and hereby acknowledge that said Sponsors have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize.
Grand Prize Winner agrees that MTVN, Viacom, Garnier, and other sponsors and their subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies and employees, officers, directors and shareholders shall have no liability in connection with acceptance or use of any of the prizes awarded herein.
