VH1 Inside Track Jamie Cullum Sweepstakes
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. Promotion Period: "VH1's Inside Track Jamie Cullum Sweepstakes" commences at 12:00 p.m. (EST) on July 15, 2004 and ends at 12 p.m. (EST) on August 5, 2004 (the "Contest"). All entries must be received by 12 p.m. (EST) on August 5, 2004.
3. To Enter: The Contest will be posted on VH1.com (the "Web Site"), a web site owned and controlled by MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. ("MTVN"), starting at or around 12 p.m. (EST) on July 15, 2004 and ending at or around 12 p.m. (EST) on August 5, 2004. Participants must complete all required fields on the online Contest entry form and submit such entry form as directed to be entered into a random drawing. Entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules shall be referred to herein as the "Eligible Entries". Limit one (1) entry per person or household per day. If an entrant uses multiple e-mail addresses to submit more than one entry for a given day, only the first online entry for that day will count. Limit one prize per person or household. All entries become the property of MTVN.
4. Prizing: One Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize including:
1. Roundtrip coach air transportation for the Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest from an airport near winner's residence of MTVN's choice to New York City, NY. MTVN reserves the right to substitute ground transportation for air transportation if Grand Prize Winner resides within 150 miles of New York City;estimated cost $1,500.00
2. Two (2) night hotel accommodations for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only; meals, telephone calls and other incidentals not included); estimated cost $800.00
3. Two (2) tickets to see Jamie Cullum in concert in New York City and meet him backstage (subject to change due to Artist's availability); estimated cost $400.00
The estimated retail value of the Grand Prize is $2,700.
The tentative dates for prize fulfillment are from August 16, 2004 - August 18, 2004 and are subject to change at MTVN's sole discretion. Total approximate retail value of this Sweepstakes is $2,700. The actual retail value of this Sweepstakes depends on current existing market conditions at time of prize fulfillment. Grand Prize Winner must be available to travel on the dates selected by MTVN. In the event a Grand Prize Winner is unable to travel on such dates as determined by MTVN, such Grand Prize Winner of "VH1's Inside Track Jamie Cullum Sweepstakes" and all privilege as a Grand Prize Winner will immediately be terminated. An alternate winner may be selected instead from among all of the remaining Eligible Entries received. Some restrictions may apply.
5. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received.
6. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of MTVN, which are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
7. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen at random, from among all of the Eligible Entries received, by VH1.com on MTVN's behalf on or around August 6, 2004.com and/or MTVN will be contacting the potential Grand Prize Winner by phone and/or email. Upon notification, the potential winner must call the phone number provider to confirm identity and eligibility within one (1) working day. If the potential winner is unreachable, or if there is no response from the potential winner, an alternate winner may be chosen, in MTVN's sole discretion. If an alternate winner is chosen, it will be selected randomly from the remaining Eligible Entries.
8. The specifics of all elements of any prize in the Sweepstakes shall be solely determined by MTVN. Some restrictions may apply. No substitution, transfer of any prize (or any part of a prize package) or cash alternative permitted, except by MTVN due to prize unavailability at time of award in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Unless specified otherwise by MTVN, no cash will be awarded. Arrangements for the fulfillment of prizes will be made by MTVN. The Grand Prize Winner and guest must sign (a) an affidavit of eligibility and release of MTVN, CBS, Viacom International Inc. and Verve Music Group from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this promotion or the use or acceptance of the prize or any portion thereof to be eligible for the prizes; and (b) where permitted, a promotional release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation; entry into this Sweepstakes constitutes Grand Prize Winner's and his/her guest agreement to sign such release. Grand Prize Winner must also complete, and require guest to complete, all legal documents and return them to MTVN within two (2) working days after receipt of such documents. Noncompliance will result in disqualification of the Grand Prize Winner and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries, in MTVN's sole discretion. The receipt by any winner of any of the prize components of this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state and local rules and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT MTVN'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF "VH1'S INSIDE TRACK JAMIE CULLUM SWEEPSTAKES" AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
9. The value of the prize(s) may be taxable as income. Upon receipt of any prize, Grand Prize winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local tax that becomes due with respect to the prize(s).
10. Sweepstakes is open to VH1.com users who are legal residents residing in the U.S., who are 21 years of age and up at time of entry, and who have an active account as of July 15, 2004. All guests must be 21 years of age and up at time of prize fulfillment. Grand Prize Winner and guest are subject to proving eligibility, including verification of social security number. If Grand Prize Winner cannot furnish verifiable and valid proof of age within 48 hours after being notified of winning, an alternate winner may be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries received, in MTVN's sole discretion. Sweepstakes not open to employees and their immediate families of MTV Networks, Viacom International Inc., CBS, Verve Music Group, affiliated companies and subsidiaries as well as any person who has won an MTV Networks national contest or sweepstakes in the 2003-2004 calendar year. Winner is subject to proving eligibility. VOID IN ALASKA AND HAWAII AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. All entries become the property of MTVN. Additional restrictions may apply.
11. All interpretations of the rules and decisions by MTVN are final. MTVN reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
