| VH1 Mobile Ringtones FAQ |
| Q: |
Is my cell phone compatible with VH1 Mobile ringtones? |
| A: |
In order to download VH1 Mobile ringtones, you must be a T-Mobile, Cingular, or AT&T subscriber. Your cell phone must also have the ability to play either polyphonic tones or digitones, depending on which type you are purchasing. You will not receive a ringtone and you will not be charged if you order a ringtone that is not compatible with your phone. |
| Q: |
How come my phone can get polyphonic ringtones but not music or voicetone ringtones? |
| A: |
Though music and voicetones are downloaded the same way as polyphonic tones, they require special features on your phone to play back correctly. Only a subset of phones has those features. |
| Q: |
What do I do once I receive a ringtone on my cell phone? |
| A: |
Once you order the ringtone from VH1 Mobile, your cell phone receives a message entitled "Your download is ready." After opening the message select "go to," wait for the "connection" request and then select "download." Once the download is complete you can listen to the tone and then click "save". Once saved go to the "settings" menu of your mobile device and then proceed to "sound alerts/tones" and select "options." Then simply select the ringtone you want! |
| Q: |
Why did my ringtone not arrive? |
| A: |
It can take up to several minutes for ringtones to arrive. Make sure that your phone is Internet-enabled. If the download failed to work, it may be that the carrier's network is busy. If problems persist please contact customer service. |
| Q: |
My ringtone arrived but when I attempt to download I receive an error message. What is happening? |
| A: |
Your cell phone might not be compatible for ringtones or your internet connection may not be available through your wireless carrier. If the ringtone is not downloaded and is not compatible with your phone, you will not be charged. |
