Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis
I saw
The Aviator. I loved it. It's a massive epic.
Cate Blanchett was a pretty wicked performer in there. It's great to have a huge, colorful, meaningful historical epic that takes place in L.A. When I went to see that movie,
Martin Scorsese sat right in front of me the whole time, which made it hard to concentrate for about the first five minutes. He was laughing and guffawing throughout! I was absolutely gassing on him, loving his own movie.

American Idol's Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson
Paula Abdul: My two favorites are
Finding Neverland and
Ray. The two are both completely different, but both amazing. They both touch you differently.
Randy Jackson: Hotel Rwanda was great ...
Million Dollar Baby was great. It's going to be tough to choose. What are you going to do?
Paula Abdul: What's so great about
Ray is
Jamie Foxx. He became
Ray Charles. And the music was so wonderful.
Randy Jackson: And you know what was great for us? Hearing those Ray songs again in that context with what was going on and what happened? Oh my God. Amazing!

John Legend
What will win? I saw
Ray and
Million Dollar Baby.
Ray was great. It was a history lesson. It was cool to see how he started and the way he blended gospel and soul and blues altogether.
Million Dollar Baby was great, too. It was very tastefully done.
Hilary Swank did a great job,
Clint Eastwood did a great job,
Morgan Freeman did a great job. It was European in a way because the ending was not a happy ending at all. But it was cool, though.

Maroon 5
Adam Levine: Maroon 5 is doing so well at the moment, we may actually win the Oscar for best picture.
Jesse Carmichael: We were at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party.
Jamie Foxx was there. When I see him, I actually think that he's blind, because he's so good in this movie. I watched
Ray last night, actually, after the party. So I was hanging out with
Jamie Foxx, watching him talk to
Quincy Jones. Then in the movie, there's him as
Ray Charles talking to the actor who plays Quincy Jones, so ... I don't know!

Eddie Griffin
Jamie Foxx, Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx! Let me tell you, my man
transformed. He didn't act -- he channeled. He let the spirit of Ray overtake him and that brother channeled that. I've known Jamie for a long time. I am so blessed to see that man finally get his just due -- period! Jamie, it's yourz! The music industry is producer-driven right now, but after they see
Ray, maybe people will reinvest in music programs for kids. You know that little thing VH1's got going on? Maybe more dollars will go back to Save the Music! Producers don't need saving -- they got enough ice. Let's save the musicians!

Backstreet Boys
A.J.: My favorite's
Million Dollar Baby. I cried like a little girl. It's a phenomenal film. I cried like a beeyotch.
Howie: It's funny because we're in boot camp right now -- band camp as we call it. We're working out and a couple of us are actually doing boxing half of our sessions. We have a newfound respect for the training process.
Hilary Swank did a great job being very believable.
Clint Eastwood did an unbelievable job directing and also starring as well. Are we ready to step in the ring with
Hilary Swank? I don't know -- she'd probably give us a licking. I'll send in Kevin first.

The Roots' ?uestlove
My favorite film of this year was
Million Dollar Baby. I love movies with twists in them. So of course in my head, I thought I was going to see a modern-day
Rocky. I don't want to reveal the secret ending -- like the
Crying Game thing. But that film really touched me in here.
Clint Eastwood's a genius.

Anthony Hamilton
I think
Ray is going to win. To see
Jamie Foxx recreate a strong figure like
Ray Charles, you forget that it wasn't Ray Charles acting it out. Learning more about Ray and the day-to-day things that he went through was amazing for me. I didn't know how the whole thing came about, him losing his sight. You never know about something until you come upon it or somebody pulls your coattail to it. Now the coattail's been pulled, [audiences] should embrace it, because this is good music. R&B was created by
Ray Charles. He gave a few guys like me a job. I may owe him a few dollars!

Jamie Cullum
The Aviator was great. It's not your typical
Scorsese film, it's like a classic piece of American cinema. It's very traditional. It even features all the traditional movie stars even from yesteryear and today. It's a brilliant performance from
Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ray's beautiful, too. It would be impossible not to make an incredible film out of the life of
Ray Charles.

Ruben Studdard
Ray! Not once did I ever recognize it was
Jamie Foxx playing that role. I always thought it was
Ray Charles. So I think he deserves it. He does a wonderful job and I'm happy for him. All of the runs that we do and all the stuff that we think is fresh, Ray did all that a long time ago. It's good that he's getting recognized for his wonderful gifts and talents.

Jill Scott
I thought that
Ray was extraordinary. It reminded me how you feel as an artist. It's got to be raw and real and naked and that movie is all of those things.
Jamie Foxx encompassed everything that Ray is and was. It was wonderfully written. Every frame was splendid. You could stop the movie at any given time and it was pretty. They didn't sugarcoat him. That's always the best movie:
Lady Sings the Blues --
Billie Holliday was not sugarcoated,
Diana Ross acted her ass off;
Ray --
Jamie Foxx, they didn't sugarcoat it, he acted his ass off;
Tina Turner,
Angela Bassett, give me a break! She acted her ass off! It's that kind of honesty and just passion and raw dog that I appreciate in an artist -- and that man could sing! Good god almighty! Just no holds barred -- there was nothing pretentious about his voice. It's just genuine. Wow!

Million Dollar Baby's the one to beat right now, for me. I love the story, the sensibility of it, the acting, the understated quality of Clint's work -- everything. I'm a
Clint Eastwood fan, he's a class act. He also produced a great documentary on
Thelonious Monk, which is one of the inspirations I had when I did my documentary
Cachao...Like His Rhythm There Is No Other. It's always good to support a friend. I always send him all the Cachao albums, and we play golf together now and then.

Tyrese
I'm rooting for
Ray.
Jamie Foxx's performance was incredible. What was so great about
Ray? Him. He became Ray. A lot of our parents and grandparents know who
Ray Charles is, and we probably heard his records -- but there's a whole new appreciation for him and his story now that it's actually been brought to life in the film.
