Mate Bakula (Janez Vrhovec) is a Yugoslavian World War II veteran who comes home for a reunion with his wartime buddies 20 years later. Through a series of flashbacks, he remembers when he was a teenager who joined the resistance movement to combat the invading Nazis. After the war, he focuses his efforts on trying to help build a power plant for the region. When the project idea falls through, the disillusioned Bakula leaves to seek his fortune in the big city. Slobodan Dimitrijevic plays Bakula as a young man and co-stars with Mira Sardoc and Dina Rutic. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide
