Gothic atmospherics abound in this conspiracy thriller, and while the characterizations and production values are OK, the script begins to turn on itself as writer/director Jesse Warn paints himself into a rather uncomfortable corner. By then the
cleverness has been used up and Warn has to resort to more predictable means to get to the end of his circular story. But until then, it's all slick, sly stalking scenes, with the troubled Sara trying to make sense of it all. An infuriatingly pointless red herring will frustrate those who were hoping to solve the mystery, but those looking for a few creepy thrills involving a cast of Canadian TV actors will be satisfied by the proceedings. ~ Buzz McClain, All Movie Guide
