Christina Perri “Daydream” Music Video Premiere

If you’ve been paying attention to this blog for the last few months — you HAVE been paying attention, right? — you will no doubt recognize the name Christina Perri. Not only is this new artist one of VH1′s You Oughta Know artists, but she just played a stunning, acoustic version of “Jar of Hearts” in our elevator lobby just a few weeks ago.

Just as any young artist worth their salt does, Perri is making sure to keep the pedal to the proverbial metal and has just released the video for her second single, “Daydream.” Whereas “Jar Of Hearts” was a very cinematic effort that relied heavily on slow motion to connote emotions, “Daydream” is more of a traditional performance video. Thanks to the stripped down nature of the video, Perri comes off as a more passionate (and therefore more “real”) artist than she did the last time around, which speaks well for her chances at sustaining her already promising career.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for this song on the next episode of VH1′s Top 20 Video Countdown.
