Tuned In: Snow Patrol Go To “New York” On Letterman

by (@kat_george)

It isn’t much of a surprise that a band with a song called “New York” should chose to play said song while in New York. What is a surprise is just how lovely that song is. Last night on The Late Show With David Letterman, Snow Patrol played the deeply melancholic “New York” to a reverent silence. Without all the excesses of grand instrumentals and layered melody, Snow Patrol played simply with voice and piano to evoke true emotion. Warning: Don’t watch this video if someone you love/miss/are heartbroken by has recently moved to New York without you — it will definitely make you cry, and we can’t have that!

Elsewhere in late night…
The Tonight Show With Jay Leno: Eli Young Band “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Uh Huh Her “Marstorm”
Late Night With Jimmy Fallon: Surfer Blood “Miranda”
