Maybe Twitter isn’t the best outlet for Chris Brown to express himself at this stage in his career. Only days after his Twitter spat with Brian McKnight, Brown was accused of allegedly tweeting that Cher needs a beating, according to Rollingout.com. Like, who has beef with Cher? Allegedly Brown tweeted:
Later reports of the incident said the tweet was created by a fake tweet duplicating site. Despite the uncertainty of the veracity of the tweet, Cher’s “army” was already in a typing frenzy ready for a behind-the-computer-screen war. When Cher’s dedicated fans asked her, “Cher, how do you feel about Chris Brown saying he was gonna hit you,” Cher retweeted the query and added, “I don’t know. Is that something he’s particularly good at?” Cher is so gangster! In an attempt to clear up the false tweet, Chris responded directly to her. “If this is your real twitter I would like to say that some of ur fans like @cherarmy1 are spreading false accusations,” he tweeted. He continued with his adoration for her as an artist, “I have the utmost respect for u as an artist! @cher. Just to clear this up!” Kudos to Chris for
finally being the bigger person without spazzing out first.
Granted this wasn’t Chris’ fault, we’re still racking our brain to think of ways that Twitter actually helps his image. In the past week alone he and Meek Mill were subtweeting each other over Rihanna, he responded to Brian McKnight by insulting his song and most recently his short lived beef with Cher. If this isn’t motivation for Chris to stop logging in we’re not sure what get him to back away from Twitter. But above anything, Cher’s heart to clap black, makes us smile, just a little.
