Oprah's Next Chapter | Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson... by Ashley_Miller_3
Mother Oprah has a way of asking just the right questions to get even the hardest gangster to open up about painting his grandmother’s toenails. On Orpah’s Next Chapter the queen of media interviewed 50 Cent, her former sworn enemy, in what turned out to show 50’s softer side, even more so than his gaggle of stuffed animals. Oprah talks to Fiddy (or we should say Curtis Jackson) about his childhood, his mother’s murder, the love of he has for his grandmother and if he’s ever been in love. The interview goes from serious to funny from serious back to funny. It gets all too real when Oprah asks about 50’s dog named Oprah.
When asked why he named his dog Oprah the two managed to laugh off the initial awkwardness with 50 opting for the more politically correct answer saying, “I love you.” Oprah wasn’t letting him off the hook that easily. “But you named your dog Oprah,” she said. “That was not a compliment.” He dodged the question again like he was in a game of dodge ball and said, “I got a cat too [named] Gayle,” which is a nod to Oprah’s best friend. Finally she pulls the real answer out of him. “At the time I was looking at the situation and I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn’t even know me,” he responded. “I gave it to the dog because I was excited about the dog at the time.” Oprah asks if he has greater affection for her now and he responds, “Absolutely.” If the dog named Oprah couldn’t get any stranger, it does. He talks to Oprah about the dog having its own Twitter account (that has over 12,000 followers by the way). With true grace Oprah laughed it off and didn’t seem to be bothered by it at all. If we had Oprah’s money we’d probably be bothered by very little too. Whatever lingering beef the two may have had was squashed after last night. Don’t you love how dogs bring people together? We wonder if Oprah gifted him with a basket full of stuffed animals. Hey, since he likes them and all.
