Big Sean Thinks “Mercy” Should Be The Song Of The Summer Because…It’s Music You Can Literally Do Everything To

If there’s one place to see fresh faced young talent it’s the annual Teen Choice Awards. Always filled with fun surprises and performances, this year the five cutest moments, which was pretty hard to narrow down, and the worst dressed celebs who get an A for effort, were some of the highlights. But on the red carpet is where the special magic happened when we chatted with Carly Rae Jepsen and Big Sean about their picks for VH1‘s Song of the Summer.

Big Sean surprised us with his pick beside “Mercy,” which would be the obvious choice since it’s his collaborative song with Kanye West, Pusha T and 2 Chainz. Really fast he spit out “Call Me Maybe” as his final answer. Looks like CRJ has some hip-hop fans. On why “Mercy” should be the SOS Big Sean had a lot to say. “It’s unique, it’s fun, it’s G.O.O.D. Music crew at its finest,” said the Detroit rapper. “We make music you can live to, party to, vibe to, dream to, have sex to, smoke to, ride to, and do what human beings do.” That’s a mouthful, but we agree that “Mercy” is a great summer anthem, which is why it’s a contender for SOS.
