An 11 year lapse between albums is eons in the ever evolving music industry. No Doubt‘s hardcore fan base they’ve maintained since their 90s reign will be rewarded with the group’s reuniting for their sixth album Push and Shove. In honor of the super group’s return, Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young cover the latest issue of Billboard magazine.
As someone with over 20 plus years in the industry Gwen Stefani has most likely met countless musician peers. Perhaps that’s why she can’t remember Beck‘s name and calls him the “Scientologist guy.” “Who was that guy that Jim [Guerinot] used to manage? The Scientologist guy?” she asks to which Kanal responds, “The solo guy? Beck.” And if you’re patiently waiting for tickets to go on sale for their tour, hold tight. As of now the group may not tour to promote this album. After waiting 11 years we’ll settle for new songs, videos and TV performances, although a tour would be the icing on the sweet comeback cake.
