Frank Ocean Joins List Of Heavyweights To Perform At This Year’s VMAs

Frank Ocean Set to Perform at VMAs

The anticipated outrageous and unpredictable moments of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards are upon us, folks. This year viewers can expect one thing for sure: to laugh until their stomach hurts with funny man Kevin Hart as host. But what is the VMAs without its all-star lineup of performers? Most recently added to the roster is talented newcomer Frank Ocean. Imagine him singing “Pyramids” with the visual stage set-up to accompany the song. This could mean actual faux pyramids, stripper poles, a stripper–oh my, the possibilities!

Frank Ocean isn’t the only performer that has us giddy for the live show on Thursday, September 6. Rihanna is scheduled to perform, which should be interesting if both Drake and Chris Brown show up, especially considering her Oprah revelations of still loving Chris. VH1 Storytellers artists P!nk (who is also in the running for Song of the Summer; vote for her here), Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys will hit the stage. Rock band veterans, Green Day, will join the dynamic lineup. Already this year has been a big one for burgeoning talent and great music from some of the legends. It’s inevitable that the surprises in store are to far exceed our expectations. Who are you most looking forward to seeing this year? Drop us a line in the comments section.
