Teenage 2 Chainz Bankhead Bounces After Dunking In A High School Basketball Game

If you weren’t awe-struck when G.O.O.D Music-affiliate 2 Chainz danced behind Nicki Minaj in her “Beez In The Trap” video, then you should probably stop reading this post right now. Over here at VH1, we admire certain skill sets, and being wildly entertaining is one of them. When it comes to 2 Chainz, appreciation runs deep; his mixtape punchlines had us giggling over the last couple years, and as if his humble charm and incredible dance moves weren’t enough, we now can add youth basketball star to the list.

Fresh off his VMA performance, ESPN has resurrected footage from Chainz’ teen years at North Clayton High School when he played forward for his College Park, Goergia team. Not only does the Based On A T.R.U. Story rapper hit a dunk at the end of the clip, but he proceeds to Bankhead bounce in celebration immediately afterwards. Considering this footage was dusted off from 1995, it’s safe to say that young 2 Chainz – who then went by his given name, Tauheed Epps – has been carefully perfecting his starpower since he was a lanky whippersnapper. In honor of his 36th birthday this week, here are some GIFs to re-live the magic of his dunk-dance 1-2 punch!
