Kelly Clarkson’s Greatest Hits Track List Reminds Us That She Is The Greatest

by (@zaragolden)

A decade in, Kelly Clarkson is ready to sign, seal and deliver the first chapter of her career with her first greatest hits compilation, called of course Greatest Hits — Chapter One, due out November 19th. According to this new track listing, the collection is 17 songs long and each song is in fact a great hit. Included in the mix are early hits, like the twitchy “Miss Independent” from 2003′s Thankful, and songs that are still heating up the charts, like “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).” Additionally, there are two new songs: “Catch My Breath” and “People Like Us,” which we have yet to hear. And because it’s that time of the year again, the album is sealed with her take on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.”

Clarkson stays being understated, but this track list proves her to be none-less than a pop power house. Let’s have a look:

1. Since U Been Gone
2. My Life Would Suck Without You
3. Miss Independent
4. Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)
5. Behind These Hazel Eyes
6. Because Of You
7. Never Again
8. Already Gone
9. Mr. Know It All
10. Breakaway
11. Don’t You Wanna Stay (with Jason Aldean)
12. Walk Away
13. Catch My Breath
14. People Like Us
15. Don’t Rush (featuring Vince Gill)
16. A Moment Like This
17. I’ll Be Home For Christmas

See that? All hits! We might also have included All I Ever Wanted‘s “I Don’t Hook Up” and “Dark Side” from Stronger, but this Greatest is otherwise a promising celebration of her career to date. Here’s to this first chapter, and then like Kells would say, “like a hundred chapters to come.”
