There’s no way Gabrielle Union‘s turning 40 today still looking like the lead cheerleader from 2000’s Bring It On. Oh, but she is. For her birthday celebration in Miami Gabby was gifted with an epic moment in hip-hop. Will Smith (Fresh Prince!) and Doug E. Fresh hyped the party up as the two rapped together getting the party all the way live. Doug E. Fresh had to show these young kids who he is, and what better way to do that than rap over Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie,” inspired by the one and only. Before the beat dropped Will told the crowd, “‘Cause the young boys don’t even really know where it came from.” Well, allow two OGs to show you.
After dropping a two minute freestyle Doug E. Fresh hit his own version of the dougie, which included a full spin. One of the best moments of the night. When Fresh and Will went into Fresh’s own song “La Di Da Di” the amped crowd rapped every word. While Will may have laid his mic to rest professionally, he’s still got it. From one Fresh to another Fresh, this is how you do hip-hop. Fun, memorable, classic.
