Hard to say at this point if Kanye West has actual plans to follow-up G.O.O.D. Music’s all-star comp Cruel Summer with some sort of seasonal Cruel Winter album. Q-Tip says he’s in, but Summer standout Pusha T doesn’t seem to have anything marked in his calendar (yet at least). But as you’ll remember, the Cruel Summer summer kicked-off with a short film, and now look what’s surfaced: a teaser trailer for Cruel Winter, another short film created by Austin Christianson and presented by none less than Cruel king Kanye West. The clip takes an icy blue-gray hue, while bare tree limbs shivering in the wind and a voice over threatens a new world order. It’s pretty, ambitious and ominous — three things Kanye most oft wont be! — and it’s plausible that this might be the work of DONDA, but for now details are still short. What could it all mean?
Def Jam sent out a stern “No” tweet in response to Complex’s post about the trailer, but that hasn’t slowed the rumor mill from churning with excitement about the new Kanye project:

But only time will tell what this is all about, and if there might also be a little something to fill our iPods coming, too.
